Breathing a sigh of relief. I purchased one of these a week ago and tried doing my homework but it's a relief to hear someone who knows a thing or 2 about these beds telling the audience that this bed is not a lemon. Your review is much appreciated.
Once fully installed, can you remove the ladder? I have a toddler who wants to play in her sister's room, and it would be nice to be able to take the ladder off while she plays in there for peace of mind.
Yes Erika, you can remove the ladder. The ladder comes with screws to attach it to the bed for safety reasons, however, the ladder does not need the screws to remain firmly in place. Removal does create an opening in the upper safety rail where the ladder belongs.

This was very helpful! Thank you!
Glad it was helpful!
Love this set up! Would you share where you found your bedding as well? My toddlers love fish!
The bed set was found on Amazon and it was available in both twin and full size.
