Watching live coverage more now and it just makes me appreciate so much more how well you guys do painting a picture knowing the results the entire time!!
It fills you in to what the pros or crowd may be thinking which is great for new frolfers

completely agree, I think they are just trying to keep the videos on the longer side, but even on live you don't see that much interaction just goes from shot to shot
@@mcdonaldb21 for sure but even on live we saw Kevin run down to the next teepad after his eagle and the confusion on the teepad as to who was up next after that cracked me up on live (and granted with so many people in the mix I appreciated how they jumped around a lot)
hopefully this makes the tour get rid of those trash cans. it's one thing to hit the koosie and it rolls. it's another thing for the trash can to be do a trampoline type of bounce. unacceptable
I agree. They should make them soft like the koozies if they want to keep them. Might get a minor bounce that way but that trash can kick back was insane.
For real. That was such a shitty incident.
Just wanted to mention how nice it is to hear Germ, Nate, and Uli, the production quality, video AND the audio. Another channel has actually moved in the wrong direction IMO, by having a solo, non-player doing emotionally flat monologue drone commentary. You guys know the courses, know the guys, and it feels like hearing friends amongst friends, there's real respect, empathy, and emotional involvment which it makes it SO much more engaging and interesting. So, please dont succumb to the corporate hype! Remember what makes disc golf different in the first place! thanks!

2 take aways from this round. 1. No more trash can pole covers. 2. Is it time for a standardized basket for the pro tour?
DGPT is already planning to make their own standardized baskets. I don't like the trash cans either but they do stop some discs from shooting past the pin
3. Concrete Tee Pads
It sucks seeing a result like what happened to McBeth, but I'd be willing to bet those covers do more good than harm overall. Doesn't mean I like them though.
Agreed on the trash can pole covers. I've seen multiple bad bounces off of them since they were added. I don't get why they keep using them, especially at how nasty McBeth's roll away was.
Simpn had quite a few spitouts on this tournament.
If y'all do another putting game at a football field you should invite Kevin Jones and Chris Dickerson and make them compete in a kicking challenge.
I really like this format of following a single group much better than the live play. I wait to watch this instead of the live coverage.
Live coverage for me is super hard to follow, as someone with adhd it's really hard when they jump around every couple seconds. 😞 I just wish they would stop trying to turn disc gold into regular golf
As much as I love the PGA I wish they had something like this as well after every round

First time watching coverage from this weekend. Didn’t realize the bottom of the basket wasn’t padded. Brutal bounce for McBeth

The area under the basket should preferably be an upside down cone or pyramid to force the disc down if the disc hits the basket. Too many people are getting penalized for making good shots. The configuration of ads should be reconsidered.
Exactly. A well thought out design is needed and the inverted cone or pyramid is a good starting point. Or just leave the pole alone and find another way to advertise. But Paul is a baby. Mcbaby.

Great shot by Paul on 5 but if the rule stats all ob goes to DZ then it shouldn't even be in question. Can understand the frustration with that but rules are clearly stated it seems.

When Kevin threw an x1 on hole 3 and it didn’t just go left, it blew me away. That disc is incredibly overstable and his power and the wind sent it straight/right. Crazy

Hole 5 McBeth pins the drive and but the plastic (very bouncy) branded 'trash can" kicks him OB. Starting to think those are not good for the game. Make them way thinner and/or of a more absorbent material so you don't get kicks like that.
But the hole before he hit the flag stopping the disc from going ob. Flag good, plastic bad.

Disc golf has a lower basket structure problem with discs flying off and rolling a mile away after great shots.

I'm wondering if there should be a rule where anything around the pole of the basket needs to be made of material that absorbs (or at least does not reflect) energy. Like it doesn't have to be foam, but like not a hollow plastic trashcan that acts like a disc trampoline. I can understand not wanting regulate what courses are made out of, but I'm just thinking out loud.
