I love pick n pull yards. Sometimes I will go to them just to wander around and see what cool stuff I can find. Also, never ever leave without a handful of fuses. I will never buy a fuse again. My local yard just gives em to me.
Love your channel man I just bought a 03 suburban for 1300 from the original owner with full maintenance report with receipts and I love it!! I'm getting ready to to start getting it cleaned up an and adding to it. Thanks for the great ideas and all the inspiration, you rock!!!
I miss finding thirdgen parts in the yards. Every one ive found in the yards near me are picked dry, nothing left but moldy carpet, broken plastic, and wasp nests galore.
The pennsburg lot is my go to. I’m about 40 minutes away from it and I used to go almost every weekend with my friends over the summer before college started.
It’s a larger yard and sucks for you cause all the American vehicles are in the back of the lot. I haven’t been to hazelton yet it’s just a “long” trip for me
Wish they had pick-n-pulls in my area. They may not be in my state for insurance reasons. It's two or so hours to the nearest one in Missouri. Love me some wrecking yards tho
Harry's is an amazing yard. I also go to EZ-Pull and Save in New Ringgold, PA if I'm not looking for modern stuff (like 2010ish and newer). They have a ton of commercial trucks and 2010 and older stuff
Greble-U-Pull in myerstown is the best yard i've been to, probably a haul for you if you're near allentown, but well worth it!. pennsburg sucks, i was just there today, wont be going back.
16:42 Another great and interesting vehicle, the poor Lincoln Town Car. I am actually looking to buy a 1988 Lincoln Town Car right now but they are hard to find!
Lucky....I went through 10 Silverado’s and several Tahoe’s and suburbans yesterday(5/26/20) and found nothing useful except one Silverado that had the EBCM. Was so excited to not have to pay 230$ for one. Got home, put it on and my truck wouldn’t start.(makes no sense to me either) put the old one back on and it started just fine 🤔
@@lsxmatt it's extremely good entertainment. Plus you describe stuff the same our friend's do when we look at vehicles and parts and grabbing extra stuff as a just in case. Would you happen to know if 05 avalanche z66 parts are interchangeable with any Chevy parts of that era? Like can I change motor parts and interior?
Yeah I just go to the one up in hazelton so much more selection, did you ever try Joe’s Used Autoparts it is a pick & pull also great selection there in new ringgold Pennsylvania?
You gotta go to Capital Auto in Bangor Pa. Right off rte 80 as soon as you get into Pa. Cleanest, most organized PnP ever. It's been awhile since I've been there, but they charged $1 to get in. It was a rock quarry, so it's huge--acres huge. Everything is organized too in their own sections--GM, Suvs, vans etc. Make sure you grab the caliper mounting brackets if you're going with the bigger brakes(07-14 I believe). If you get another factory radio, they're vin locked, just gotta take a certain chip out, and you'll get it to work, np.
For e fans you don't need to limit yourself to the GMT800 trucks as the GMT900 fans are identical. So if you find any GM fullsize 1/2 ton truck from 2005 through 2013 or 2014 as an SUV it has the fans you want. For a wiring harness the cleanest install is not some janky light itself on fire garbage from the aftermarket. If you come across a GMT800 1/2 ton (SUV or truck again) grab its forward lighting harness. You can open up the fuse center and see that the entire e fan control is an afterthough on GM's part and is a standalone. It's literally taped onto the headlight harness... Otherwise you just need the plug for the triggers and that is pin 33 on the green connector and pin 42 on the blue connector on the PCM. Add it and the fans to your truck and enable them with HP or EFI and it's just like factory.
05 - 06 had electric fans and it makes a difference! If you ever go back to the yards I need the black plastic inserts that slide into the body where the rear hatch sill plate goes at the end of the carpet. Once you pull the plastic sill plate you can't miss them you see them in your video at the 7:43 mark. I'll pay you via paypal. All of these trucks are picked clean where I live in CA. Those older radios that you want for your Camaro had to have the code put in by the owner and many did not; a 99% chance that it wont be locked.
don't know if you know this but them Camaro/firebird/Trans am 1982-2002 all the seats and consoles all fit each other since the floor is the same some have even don full interiors swaps.
You’ll need the headliner regardless, one is designed for sunroof models, the other for the trucks without, the headliners have the harness glued to them and the harness plugs into a bulkhead by the Bottom of the drivers door. I tried it on a friends Yukon xl, it’s a real pain, but if you’re determined it can be done
Hey Matt, I have a question.. I have a 04 Yukon Denali and in the rear of the truck, I can hear sounds as if bearings are making a cracking sound, would you happen to have any idea what it might be ? Or where would be the first step for me to check ? It’s definitely a metal sound..
@@lawrencebernal8872 I have an 06 suburban, I have to have my rear diff redone because of a whining noise, but I also had a metal squeaking noise that made noise with every rotation of my axle, turns out it was my u-joints. fixed it and noise gone.
I have a 2001 GMC Denali, and my front seat is ripped pretty bad if all you need is the seat covers I recommend The Seat Shop. They have videos on You Tube
Love a good junk yard walk around! You just never know what goodies you'll find.

Man am I thankful all of our pick n pull yards around here have well-maintained gravel surfaces.

Joshua Hicks best cars come from there

That's my shopping mall, I could be there for a long while..... great stuff comes from the boneyard....👍👍👍👍
Big fan of Tahoe’s especially the z71
I'm a big fan of GM trucks from 1999-2006 (I'm a proud owner of a 2004 silverado z71)
That Roadmaster station wagon with the LT1 would have made a nice Woody surf wagon. 😁😎
2005+ brakes a bigger then the old cars, that's why they came with 17" wheels stock.
E fans are 2005+ also
@@Stackali E-fans were just an upgrade for the newer models. I have an 06 Suburban with electronic fan, but no cylinder deactivation.
Yep, have myself an 03 Tahoe and man is it a blast to drive

The burgundy Caprice at about 21 mins in, you have to be careful getting those motors. They also put the L99 4.3 liter motors in a lot of them!
don't forget to put die electric grease on the speaker terminals. that's why its blown. water somehow creeps through the window down one the speaker.
“Almost fell in the lake” 😂😂😂
Those are playa prices. Here in TX you'd pay a lot for those parts.
I live in Beaumont, the pick a parts are not to bad on prices. Houston has tons of junk yards and can get you good deals.
Cant stand liberals here in Houston they’re plentiful i just find better deals on Fb market vs Lkq
The pennsburg lot is my go to. I’m about 40 minutes away from it and I used to go almost every weekend with my friends over the summer before college started.

I LOVE junkyard videos
I’ll be going back very soon, so expect another video!
Tahoe with the good headliner was a recent truck look at the oil change sticker 2/28/2020
It was cleaned out pretty good too. Motor and trans seemed long gone!
Really nice video I like seeing the junk yard I only been once and actually enjoyed it I picked some sun visors out of a tahoe
Now I want to go wander my local lots again. Even if I don't buy anything it is always a good day.

2008 and later full size truck and suburban/tahoe/yukon have larger caliper/rotor combos, well worth the upgrade.
My dads 2004 Suburban used to have a DVD player but it broke since he used the Suburban as a work truck & abused the hell out of it
That Headliner was almost mint, would be worth at least an attempt to get out in 1 piece

Call or email the manufacturer if Matt hasn't gotten to your question. What kind of fabric would you even want to put on it?
