MDT Josh is the best, everyone knows you love what you do and It shows. I keep going back and forth between the ESS and ACC. I'm not a huge match shooter but occasionally do and I just like how the ESS looks better!
I like how he avoids saying "A monkey could figure this out... if you can't tighten a few bolts without an instruction video, maybe this isn't the sport for you"... I kid, I kid... Excellent design with simple installation. This is a VERY nice looking chassis, and god bless you for having some Left Hand options, and some Tikka options! Us Left Handed Tikka fans have long been frustrated by lack of chassis!
Love this, getting one soon and I was just wondering if I'll have to worry about recoil lug trickery. Great stuff guys, that's why I'm choosing mdt for my build.
At first blush, looks to be the best one yet. An iterative process of approaching minimalist rifle chassis perfection. Looking forward to a demo or review on the ESS Folding Buttstock.
The folder has been out for about a year now and there are reviews out there from independent sources. We are sure you'll love it, if you don't, we offer a 30 day 100% satisfaction guarantee so you can try it risk free.
@@MDTTAC I am new to firearms, but I have been to your website already. Would you be kind enough to give some examples of specific brand and model # that your ESS chassis would fit. I greatly appreciate it. Thanks in advance. @@MDTTAC I am back again. I looked at your website and ESS chassis can accommodate Savage 110 precision and that is how the rifle comes with. My question is whether it is foldable or not?
I just tried installing the buttstock to my ESS chassis last night and the screw mine came with is substantially longer and leaves the buttstock over a 1/4" from being tight. I'm not sure if the female threads are supposed to go all the way to the end of the hole but the last 1/3rd is not threaded. Guess I'm calling MDT next week.
This chassis is shown to be compatible with the Ruger American, but it is unavailable as an option to purchase on the website. Is this available or no?
Hello! We do offer an 18" full rail forend if you would like, it's under the configurator, when we built the package, the 15" no rail forend was the most popular choice.
@@MDTTAC I got my order. I have to say I am so disappointed. The stock connection to the chassis is very poorly engineered and if you buy something cheap from China it will come with some tools. I have a lot of tools but I can't install the stock and I have to buy the "ball head Allen" just for this installation. So disappointed. Those nice looking round bolts on the stock to adjust different components are replaced with plastic ones and on mine the one at the end of the stock to adjust the vertical pad is damaged and I can't screw or unscrew it.

Practical Precision Shooting I agree ESS looks better

What is the weight of this? I wish MDT would advertise the weights of their chassis
Can you install a tikka short action with folder stock on ess?
MDT, do you recommended using thread locker on the bolts? I have an ESS chassis ordered.
It depends on what bolts you are referring to. We pre-thread lock any bolt that needs it. You can always add some in areas you feel it needs it.
Wouldn't you want to glass bed the receiver recoil lug into the stock before torquing it down?
With the design of our chassis, there is no need to bed.
