  • Today we're going to be looking at installing an mA Meter on a 50w laser cutter.
    Having a milliamp meter installed on your CO2 laser cutter will let you better monitor the power output of your laser cutting machine.
    My CO2 laser engraver is similar to the popular k40 laser cutter and other Chinese laser engravers, so the install process should be similar for other machines, like an 80w laser cutter.

    Sounds like a much better way of monitoring machine power output

    Such a most innovative design did you use! I saw many laser owners make a big hole on the laser body that it's not so lovely. If for any reason, they don't want to use it anymore or want to replace it with a new meter, they make the machine defective and look ugly. Thanks for sharing your effective experience with us. 💯👌👋

    Thanks for the good video. What else I would like to see is how you installed your temperature meter.

      The temp meter came with the machine. The temperature probe is literally just taped to the laser tube.

    Do you have a video covering the controller upgrade? I don't see one in your feed.

    How did you get an extension display for your water temp?

    • @MakeTechCreate
      @MakeTechCreate  2 года назад

      It's just a touch tempature display that came with the laser. There was more then enough with to extened it to the new display.

    What gauge wire did you use for the extension wires?

    Hi.
    Are you sure it’s not an AC meter you have installed?
    Looking at the symbol it sure looks like it’s meant for AC

      Crap ... your right ... I ordered a DC meter but after checking, that's an AC symbol ... regardless, it's working for what I need. Changing it will be simple enough ... I guess I should probably wear my glasses more 😆

      @@MakeTechCreate it may display different walues than DC meter because there is pulsed DC so I wonder how accurate is measurement with DC meter

    Cant see where or how you wired positive

    • @MakeTechCreate
      @MakeTechCreate  3 дня назад

      The negative wire from your laser tube goes to the positive terminal on the gauge.
