Every time I see Atom playing he looks like he's having the time of his life!
Honestly, his energy feels a bit out of place, especially with Matt riding the struggle bus on vocals

Yeah even in Angels and Airwaves he was over the top even when it was like a chill slow part lol

Derek was a better fit and forever will be. Saw them last year and Atom missed a TON of the little idiosyncrasies in the drum parts that derek provided. This is coming from a drummer who's favorite pop punk band is alkaline, so take with a grain of salt.
Skiba hasn't sounded this good in YEARS. Hyped for this tour.

Yeah. He sounded good with blink from 2016-2017. 2018-2019 was rough live with the trio and blink. But this is close to skiba in top form in terms of having that 2003-2008 passion he can have. He had that passion come back in the first blink shows he did in 2015 but aside from that this is one of the only times hed had that passion to that level. Even with the one voice crack in this performance he killed it. First time trio feels like his main priority since like 2008. Although I love his side projects and can't wait for some more lektron and other side projects.bibeoukfbt trade him doing side projects for the world. I hope he doesn't drop them.
That’s because when he was in Blink those songs were out of his range. He was forcing it. Here he sounds natural. The new record is so good too.

frankly I thought he sounded quite bad. I know he sounded worse on occasion but has he consistently sounded worse? Anyways, hyped for the Europe tour also, gonna pre-order tickets this week

Lots of love still around for this band, with good reason. They remain a cut above in songwriting and harmonies IMHO. Catchy but never corny.

I went to their concert at Gilman st instead of my prom back in 01
20 years ago, when I started playing music myself, this was my favourite band. Now 7 days before my 20-year-anniversary of being a musician, they are playing a new single on Kimmel. ♥

That’s a wild thing to say. Derek is about as good as it gets. Atom is pretty barebones honestly. Definitely a downgrade 🤷♂️ not sure what you’re on to.

🤷I don’t think we have seen Atom full potential yet .. all the drum parts for this album are still from Derek not Atom . So if people complain that atom is not as great as Derek because of the drum parts they are just hating .. don’t get me wrong , Derek was and still is amazing but there isn’t a better fit for this band better than atom .
I’ve heard of them, but never listened to them before this. I really enjoyed their music!
Matt has been through a lot these last couple years. God I love seeing him right where he has always been the most perfect version of himself and dammit if it isn’t always wonderful to see Dan too.

Atom on drums was the best decision! Perfect time considering the rhythm guitar is on loop while Matt plays the lead riff. The whole album was a banger, Alkaline Trio forever!
