Great information and I use now when I travel . Thank You for everyone for your videos.Have happy travels for 2022 and always 👋🏼😏
Brilliant info - lots of great items I added to my list! I’m also a pouch person, and in non-travel life collect a ton of handmade and unusual boxes. Don’t know if it’s the organization thing or the collecting thing, but I love to have little hiding places for similar items. 😁 As a longtime hiker, I’m familiar with several of these brands, but hadn’t seen the Osprey wallet - looks perfect! So glad this vid popped up in my feed and heading off to watch more of your channel. Thanks!!
for traveling frequently I've been slowly investing in merino wool pieces. Doesn't require frequent washing and stays odor free. Maybe it's just me, but any quick dry polyester active type clothes starts smelling even with one wear and odors seems to stay penetrated even after washing sometimes
You are absolutely right, Merino wool is great! I talk about it a little bit in my other video about how I pick my clothes for my travel wardrobe. But at the moment, I am working on “using up” all my T-Shirts. I gave up my apartment and have a few T-Shirts left. My merino ones already died on me, all that’s left are the polyester (mix) ones, and I don’t want to throw them away. I will wear them until I have to discard them. Then I will probably replace them with Merino T-Shirts again. But I am lucky with the stink, so I am fine with that in the moment ;-) I used to have that stink problem more when I traveled with cotton T-Shirts and not enough time for them to dry (the good old times… ;-). Then I just made sure I washed them in hot water and let them soak there for a while, and I used some hair conditioner to give it a better smell. I also keep either a dryer sheet or one of those scented pads for textile in my packing cube.
Hello, I just found your channel, thanks for that! Would you mind listing the pouches down, please? Yes, I am also pouches fan, so I totally understand you! And yes, please, do the video about your tech pouch! I am sorry if you put these things somewhere and I missed it, but I checked your channel and did not see it. Thank you, take care!
Hi Jana! Thanks for your nice comment. I did not put a list anywhere. To be honest, when I filmed the video, I did not think that people would be so interested in the exact type of pouches. 😅 Most of my pouches are just random ones I collected over the years, a few free ones (in airplanes), a few cheap ones and a few expensive ones. I am not sure if I remember where I got each of them nor the exact brand or if they are even still available. If there is a special one that you liked, I can try to remember. 😊 And I will definitely try to improve that in the future and include more links.
@@MaggiFuchs Hello, no worries! Most drybags are quite thick and bulky so I've realised I need to find a light 1. How does it work for you? All nice and watertight?
Hi Susie! Thanks for subscribing! :-) Yes, so far the Sea to Summit drybag holds up quite nicely. It’s the one with their UltraSil material (or it’s called something like this). It’s really superthin and very lightweight. I also had my doubts, but I always use it to wash my laundry (so I actually fill it up with water), and so far, it seems to do it’s job pretty well. I used to have one of the smaller collapsible brushes (I showed it in my toiletries video), but it broke, so I decided to go with this bigger one since my hair got longer. And I saw that on my other video you commented about solid sunscreen. I also use it and often bring it as a backup / emergency / for the first days, but I always just purchase a bigger sunscreen upon arrival.
@@MaggiFuchs thanks for the detail. I'll keep an eye out for that. I also think it'd be good for storing dirty laundry to keep that separate from your other clothes - until you get time to wash bulkier items (that might stink up your bag in the meantime). Some people recommend the plastic compression bags for that but I think if you're taking a drybag anyway why not get as much use out of it as possible. Oh, I have quite long hair, hence the comb but a little brush for styling (a comb just doesn't cut it for flyaways, unfortunately 🤨). Have had that travel brush for 20+ years now. It just hangs out in my handbag unless I'm lucky enough to go on a trip

I did not mention it in that video (but in the one about my toiletries) that I purchase those things at my destination. With as much sunscreen as I need, I would need to check in large suitcase just for that! 😂 So I buy when I arrive. not sure where you're traveling, but in the US, the sewing kit would be fine, per TSA. Even knitting needles are allowed. The wine opener as long as it doesn't have a blade is fine - so this one would work.
I had the same corkscrew and never had trouble getting it through airport security but in Italy the security screener pulled it out. It was considered unsafe to be in my carry on. Also, you must have to repack for flying to put your few liquids and lotions into a clear bag for security clearance?
