@@93snowwolf They're warp barrels that are not glitch generated. They're knowingly planted there as hidden shortcuts. I don't know about the ones where it's like the entire level is skipped, including the finish line part, like at 2:47

Easily one of my top favorite games of all time on all fronts and a pretty damn good challenge when going for full completion %. Also the levels really pushing the player to mastering both characters when it comes to stuff like movement, timing etc really ups things. The fact how you get Toxic Tower and then immediately Screech's Sprint to end the regular path of the game was just absolutely brutal.
Amazing skills, well done, so much fun to watch. The minecarts jumps as EARLY as possible to save time is insane, literally on the edge of death, and Sqwak's race was insane fast

Good evening, I would like to know, how did you pass the snake stage in Toxic Water So fast, I barely managed to pass the whole stage, please give me some tips.
It's a community effort! I did not come up with the great majority of the strats that I used, that was the work of the people who came before me. I simply learned off of what they were doing and added a few of my original strats (including the Wrong Warp in Gusty Glade, for which I came up with a humany viable route). That's one of the things I love about the speedrunning scene, there's no patents or even much jealousy, it feels like a work shared among others. And ideas came come from anyone: other speedrunners, TASers, or even casuals making random observations which lead to discoveries. It's great. To answer your second question, it took me a couple weeks just to learn the run to a point where I could complete the game in a single segment, a lot more to get good of course. Although I did make it a little difficult on myself by learning a lot of tough strats right away, others can and have picked up the game by learning some easier strats first and it doesn't take nearly as long to jump into runs like that.

@@JavierGuerra-v5z There are 4 versions of NTSC DKC2: US 1.0, US 1.1, JP 1.0, and JP 1.1. The two 1.0 versions have more major differences, however they're more useful for other categories becayse most wrong warps don't work there. Meanwhile, US 1.1 and JP 1.1 are identical in terms of gameplay mechanics, however they feature small level design differences (notably for Any%, a bee is missing on JP 1.1 which saves 2 frames). Additionally, loading times may be slightly faster on the JP version (building up to less than a second probably).
