    Thanks for your great video's, you always seem to cut to the chase in a very short time. I like the way you will choose a subject and the information you give is related to it. Your video's are easy to follow and understand. Thanks for all your help regard Mac computers. I think many people get frustrated when they first run into issues sometimes 2 or 3 years after they bought their Mac and they try to call Apple, which can be very unpleasant for some if they are not in warranty. Thanks again.

    Amazing. It took a while but I wanted to move all the desktop default saving screen shots to an. external SSD ... and also defalted screen shot to that folder. Moving to different folders and drives ... likely you have a video already.

    A very handy overview. During the OS 9 days it was said that littering your Desktop actually slowed performance but using aliases was not as bad. Drag and drop to the Desktop is so handy I created a Desktop Clutter folder in Documents, aliased it to the Desktop so that when I have a file or URL or text clipping I need to use over the short haul I just drop them in the Clutter folder, aliasing the ones immediately relevant to my Desktop. Man that took too long to explain, my apologies.

    I would love to have my desk top folders A-Z from top left to right, is that possible? ... as currently you have them right to left and my brain reads left to right! Great video though, thanks!

    • @macmost
      @macmost  Год назад +1

      No, it sorts from top left and then down. But you can always just avoid the Desktop and put those files in the Documents folder (or another you create) and then show them that way. Then you get a neat Desktop and a folder with the files how you want.

    Hi Garry, Can you help me? How do I move my TimeMachine file from my WD- HDD to a SamsungT7 SSD?

    • @macmost
      @macmost  2 года назад +1

      Don't move it. Just start a new backup on the new drive. Keep the old one around until you are sure you don't need it.

    i just would like to know how to remove photos library icon off my desktop just that nothing else for some reason it end up there and i dont know how but i want it gone... How would i do that... Thank You...

    • @macmost
      @macmost  2 года назад

      Do you mean you moved your entire Photos library from your Pictures folder to your Desktop folder? Just move it back to your Pictures folder then.

    • @doughgarcia6086
      @doughgarcia6086 2 года назад

      @macmostvideo No it seems that the photos library application moved to the desktop,,, I thought maybe it was a folder or something like that but when I want to delete it from the desktop and tried to open it in the application menu it said it could not open because photos library was in the trash...
      So I had to restore it but of course it ended back on my desktop... hope this makes sense...

    • @macmost
      @macmost  2 года назад

      @@doughgarcia6086 OK, so two different things: Photos app, Photos Library. If it is the Photos app, see if it is the app itself, or an alias to the app. Is the app still in your Applications folder? Is there a tiny arrow in a corner of the icon? If so, that's just an alias to the Photos app and you can remove it. If you actually moved the Photos app itself from the Applications folder to your Desktop folder, then just move it back.

      @@macmost i do apologize for being a pain lol But it does not have an small arrow on the side of it... my son came to look at it and he stated that he have never seen any like this happened before... so i deleted it again and created a new library and now it shows the photos.photoslibrary in the application fold in finder right next to Photos lol i swear i have no idea what i am doing here... i did not have any photos in there but i just not want to show on my desktop... maybe this will be ok as long it is not on the desktop lol... Thanks for all the Help... i cant find a video on how to just make it as factory reset on just the photos... if you do have something that can please i am all hears but for now this will do... again thanks

    How to move icons on screen? On windows it’s so easy but on my MacBook Pro it’s impossible, I have one icon which I want to move but I can’t even I’m trying more than 2 hours now, and if I add more icons on Home Screen stupid system keep throwing all apps on one place so 3-4 different apps one over the other on same spot on screen, just so annoying, just want to have 3-4 icons on Home Screen on place that I like but looks like it is impossible

    Thanks very good tutorial. Yes you are right, one must be organised. The organisation saves lot of trouble of fining things. We always keep something so secured that we ourselves forget the location later. Best regards, Shirish Balekundri WaferFAB = Process Specialist, Singapore
