Yes its not comparable. If Leverkusen win the cups theyll have done the treble too, so its a far greater achievement.
It's a greater achievement, not necessarily a greater side. I think the invincibles would beat Leverkusan in a one off match personally. Just my opinion

I would say what Leverkusen are doing right now is by far in a way more impressive then Arsenal's invincibles as they have not lost a single match accross every competition they are in so far this season.
Arsenal were in the UCL. Leverkusen are in uefa cup/europa league. Massive difference. The invincibles team would also beat this Leverkusen team fairly easy
It is very special esp as they aren't the biggest team in Germany. However you do understand that the league matters right?? Go look up unbeaten teams.. there's a wiki page just for it. you'll be shocked how many teams do it. The difference is doing it at the top level.
It would have been more interesting if Leverkusen were in the CL.. unfortunately we'll never know.
A lot easier to go unbeaten in the bundesliga than the premier league

Unbeaten across all competitions, with a rookie manager and a team that never even won the league before. Bit of a German farmer's league though. Look how easy Xhaka is finding it there, compare that to the PL. Leverkusen couldn't do it in the PL.
@@harisabbasi1699A farmers league because of Bayern Munichs dominance which makes Leverkusen even more impressive!
@harisabbasi1699 farmers league? What isn't a farmers league then? Cause I don't see one English team in any European competition. Germans were in the semis and are in the finals of the UCL. So you can't tell me the prem isn't a farmers league. The same 2 teams have been winning it for almost 10 years
I’m sorry, but as an arsenal fan it’s clear that if leverkusen win the treble, it’s a much better achievement than our unbeaten run. Credit to them.
Miles better than what Arsenal done
Of course. Every opportunity to downplay whatever ARSENAL is. I'm not surprised lol.
How do you figure it is better than Arsenal's invincibles season? As far as I know, Leverkusen have not yet done it. EL, German Cup, and Bundesliga are all still active, so they have not yet achieved invincibles status.

You may try, but cannot take away their achievement lol
Arsenal shouldn’t have entered this convo… it’s hard to compare the 2 achievements. Both are remarkable and it’s a disservice to try to say one is better than the other.
Bayern aren’t 20 points ahead in second place, what the hell is he on about?
Leverkusen have been brilliant, but Atalanta are no mugs in a one off game and Leverkusen are missing a lot of chances.
I hope they do the unbeaten treble, but it will be tough
Let's not do this please. I bet leverkusen to come to premier league and be 49 unbeaten. The reality is they won't be able to do it. Premier league is different gravy. Going on a 49 match unbeaten run ain't happening here mate. There will be only one greatest invincible and that is arsenal of 03/04
It's irrelevant though really. Arsenal invincibles was impressive but to win 3 trophies including a European one and demolishing Bayern who happened to knock out Arsenal will be a much better accomplishment. Munich were the favourites. Alonso transformed them in a machine... But that's only if they actually do it... Let's be real you cakes walked the league second place was 79. Hardly competitive was it

Eddie Howe is quality manager and never gets his roses so I dunno what you are on about. European managers are put on pedistools by English media so no idea what angle you are coming from.
English are European lmao did you do geography at your school
And yet the best coaches in English history have been British. Weird. The period of greatest dominance was when teams were entirely British. Weird. How did we go from Liverpool and others destroying Europe every year to thinking we needed foreigners? Such strange thinking.
No one has ever denied this?
Its even insulting to compare banter fc season facing the Derbys of this world and losing in the KO phase against Bayern, while Leverkusen does the total opposite in all competitions.
what Leverkusen are doing is better than the invincibles season because these are doing it in every competition where as arsenal collapsed at the back end of the season going out of every comp then just playing for draws in the league.
Less games in a weaker league and weaker european competition
And the only 2 decent teams Leverkusen have played and managed to not lose to are Bayern (who were struggling for form tbf at the time and Dortmund.)
@hustler666100 not really at that time the premier league only had 2 good teams and for the last 6 or 7 games against poor teams arsenal were just out not to lose. so I will say it again Leverkusen is a greater achievement with a lesser team.
@@paulwright6297 If they were in the champs league Id agree
@hustler666100 yes but arsenal crashed out of every cup and then played not to lose like I said and leverkusen are a much smaller team than arsenal hence why what they're are doing is better they just avoided relegation last season
Juventus also went unbeaten in serie a under Conte in the 2011/12 season but people don't seem to mention this.
1 thing i notice was alonso rotates a lot, and they still win. Players come off the bench in the last 15-20 minutes and still score.
This is something you do on FIFA career mode or Football Manager. It’s an incredible achievement.
We can only say the Prem has declined if we see the same levels of performance in Europe as we saw this year. For this season, the premier league underachieved. There's no doubt about it.

It’s not even close. That Arsenal team got banged out of the cups. This leverkusen team are on track to win EVERYTHING.
Leverkusen have been remarkable this season. By far passed my expectations
Now that the Bundesliga season is over, 90 points from just 34 games is insane
I'm an Arsenal fan, and I've got to give kudos to Leverkusan. They've done it across all comps, and if they win the cups aswell tgat would make it all the more impressive.
The invincible’s season achievement by Arsenal surpasses Bayern Leverkusen’s primarily due to the strength of their respective league
so does you Arsenal fans with your levels of delusions over other fans. Mind you, with no title in 20 years I can see why you'd be peddling nonsense like this, not got much else to go on.
Not sure of the metric that you use to judge the respective "strength" of the leagues, but the German teams went further in the UCL this season... ans Arsenal won nothing else that season! (I could be wrong there, but if there's no "edit" I stand by my words)
Arsenal also had much better players, at least on paper as a top English team
As an arsenal fan , they are way better than the invincibles. It’s facts. I’m happy with that. Our time is done with that history and now there’s a new generation of invincibles. Be happy that it happened and it’s happening than being upset. We r witnessing history

Amazing story
So many pathetic people commenting on here. Arsenal's achievement was amazing. Leverkusen is even more amazing considering who they are as a club(not won much before), bayern's 11 year dominance, and their cup and European success too. But too many goofs are being dismissive of Arsenal as if ii was no big deal. I'm a united fan who hated arsenal back in the day by the way.
Arsenal didn't win any of the cups in 2003-04, or get to any of the 3 cup finals, so (assuming they don't lose either of the last two league games) BL has already eclipsed Arsenal.
So we are comparing the Bundesliga with the Premier League - Going unbeaten in either league is a great achievement.
I love how Jim goads Martin by saying how calm Alonso is on the touchline. Brilliant!
Invincible is not a trophy. it’s nice achievement so stop talking about it so much like it was one. Champions league or Europa League is a trophy and that’s what big clubs should be exited about but since Arsenal never won anything in Europe i guess nice achievements is what they have left.
CL final is a way better achievement than the europa cup which btw shouldn't even exist. Not an arsenal fan just telling facts. I mean Fulham almost won it ffs and you're acting like better than a good run in the CL?
@@intenzityd3181 tophy is trophy. If u win Europa league u can attract better players and sponsors and step by step than u qualify to the Champions league. If Leverkusen do it and stay unbeaten for all 3 competitions then they will be true invincibles.
Bayer beat Dortmund over the league season, Bayern Munich, Leipzeig, Roma, West Ham. Dortmund have beaten PSG, Atleti, Bayern Munich, PSV. Bayern have beaten Arsenal. Dortmund are in the CL final, 3rd place Bayern got to the Semi Final, Frankfurt win the Europa a couple years back and Atalanta are playing Bayer in the EL final having knocked Liverpool out. In summary, the EPL is followed by egomaniac arseholes and Bayer achievement is world class. Arsenal this year couldn’t even beat Bayern who are 3rd in Germany, Dortmund are in CL final and are 5th in league.

Villas injuries and fatigue has caught up to them but this hasn't been used as an excuse up until recently (3 ACL's in a season is very rare and currently missing 8 players who would actually be in the squad), but the argument that there is no excuse due to Leverkusen's 49-unbeaten streak is complete fabrication. No consideration that Villa have actually played more games than them (arguably in a more difficult league). Arsenal missing Saliba for half a season was considered a reasonable excuse for their downturn towards the end of last season but Jim White, who by the way was trying to get headlines from Villa fans after our loss but was annoyed to only get positivity from us, cannot see how a team down to its bare bones can possibly underperform.
Leverkusen are way better
Not even close
They have not lost in any competition
Arsenal lost just not in the league
Blows away what my Arsenal did. I still think the German league is weaker than the premier league overall, but it’s quite incredible how they’re winning in added time.
Leverkusen’s will be the greatest achievement in football solely because they would be invincible in all competitions and won a treble as well as given the circumstances. Alonso’s first full year as a manager, taking down the greatest team in Germany, Bayern Munich, ending their 12 year reign. That’s remarkable. Also Arsenal drew 12 times in the prem. Leverkusen drew 9 times as a whole. It’s not “The” treble but solely for the fact they’d be unbeaten is why it would be the greatest. If Leverkusen lost a game, but still won their treble, it’s still a great season/achievement, but not the greatest.
If they win the treble and do a real unbeaten season then Arsenal’s achievement is school yard stuff tbh
They eclipse Arsenal's invincible season if they pull this off. Arsenal won just the league. An unbeaten treble possibly. Atalanta could be the ones
I'm not sure what 2 games with Roma and Leverkusen Jim must have watched because what I saw was Leverkusen cheating in every way possible. And as for Jim's favorite Frimpong he clearly must have missed him ignoring Spinazzola lying on the floor with a torn hamstring whilst continuing to play with an obvious advantage 🤔
Frimpong caused multiple fights in both legs and is 1 of the dirtiest players I've seen in a long time
Tbh no-one really cares about the invincibles, just Keown making it relevant and getting it in when he can and lets not forget he only played 3 games in that season, goes on like he single handedly won it.
Lost to Middlesbourgh in the cup, invincible......lol
Imagine an unbeaten treble, dwarfs anything i can recall. Arsenal doing just in the league is not comparable
But it's the Premier League so Arsenal's achievement is better.
Europa League final is so much better than the champions league. Atalanta and BL play way better football.

English teams do well in Europe: “Too dominant, the rest of Europe cannot compete!”
English teams have one average season in Europe: “Decline! What is happening?”
Got to love the media.
Madrid had a two week break before the 1st leg against city. City played 4 times. Other leagues actually help their teams in Europe. England doesn't. (NOT a city fan btw)
Also, every league has been decided already except for England. In a game of fine margins, all these things matter
City did the treble last season by going unbeaten in the FA cup UCL and lost once post World Cup break to Brentford away after the league title was wrapped up playing that match with most of the starting 11 with youth players..
Before World Cup break city had lost 3 times..
2 of the first 3 losses was both away fixtures in league which is a regular occurance normally as city have far less mid season friendly matches compared to all other teams which is why they are known to be slow starters each season in august and only loss after that was last game before the World Cup break ironically at home to Brentford as all players involved in World Cup was already mind set on that and was city’s only loss at home in the season they did the treble..
Had city been able to start better for once and no World Cup interference it could of been city who won a treble and went the whole season unbeaten cos they wasn’t that far off given the reasons for why they lost 4/5 times..5 times of including league cup which I have not included due to Germany not having 2 domestic cup competitions compared to England..

It's not the greatest sporting achievement ever ffs🤣🤣🤣. There have been tennis players who've won grand slams as teenagers, amateur golfers who've won majors etc. Even in football, what Forest and Leicester did was far more impressive. The reality is that as dominant as Bayern have been, they are only one team and if they falter, winning the Bundesliga is relatively attainable. Compare that to the PL where all of the big six are in the top 10 clubs for revenue globally. It is far more difficult and there are far more hurdles to overcome for a non big six challenger.
As for the unbeaten side of things, scoring in the 97th minute three games in a row is very fishy, the refs are just playing until they score.

They are not in Champions league thou!! Who exactly are they playing?
Arsenal were only unbeaten in tue English Premier league, not Europe and I don't think it was such a great achievement they had like 80 points... Liverpool and city with nearly got 100 points a few years ago. Dropping less than 10 points each.
