    Great looking seeder brother! That would work great on my Ranger! We used a 3 point spreader on a tractor this year for soybeans! Thank you for sharing my friend!

      Its a heavy duty seeder and would be perfect for soybeans. Thank you for watching brother.

    I just picked one up today and got my sunflower broadcasted ahead of the rain coming Monday.
    I like it but with the sunflowers it had to be all the way open or they wont flow.
    Well, it emptied the hoper FAST. Like really fast. I only made 2 laps around a 1/2 acre plot and it was empty!!
    I filled it back up and had to just run around it like it was a nascar track.

      @pineylife  8 месяцев назад

      Never planted sunflower seeds with mine but I know small seed goes pretty quick too.
      I think I might modify my seed adjuster to try and get a more even flow.

      @@pineylifeI wish there was a speed controller for the motor.
      I may put one one it to try.
      It would be great to just slow the plate speed.

    Hey Piney, You still enjoying that seeder? Just wondering how many times you’ve used it since this video and whether you’ve encountered any problems. Thanks!

    • @pineylife
      @pineylife  Год назад +1

      I like it so far. Used it on several food plots. Honestly it does great on bigger seed like soybeans and wheat. Clover and small stuff so so good. The best thing I have found for small seed is a a shoulder bag seeder. They have a smaller gate opening for tiny seed.

  • @The_Hunan
    @The_Hunan Год назад +1

    Does the seed come pouring out when you stop the motor, or do you have to jump out and close the gate everytime? Thanks!

    • @pineylife
      @pineylife  Год назад +1

      It piles up on the scatter plate till you turn the remote on. So yes if your seed is not set correctly it could com
      e out pretty fast.

    Hows that working out? been looking at my options for an ATV Hitch mount seeder/fertilizer. How well did it work with small seed like clovers and millets and granular fertilizers? With the remote, im guessing it stops the spinner plate from turning, but the gate is still open. Did ya loose much seed when doing turn arounds, stopped with remote off, etc? EDIT....just saw a few of the comments and questions below with similar info.

      I like it so far but to be honest it does not do good with five seed. A hand spreader does better.

    How wide does is spread?

    • @pineylife
      @pineylife  6 месяцев назад +1

      I would say 8 feet wide. Great for big seed or pelletized lime. not the best fir small seed.

      @@speedbuggy7240 to be dead honest it doesn’t work well with small seed. It does better with oats and pellitized like. The plate for seed adjustment is kind of finicky

      It throws a mixture of rye grass and oats 1/2 and 1/2 approximately 7 to 8 feet each side...watch for the wind...open gate 1/2 way...worked well for me...I hate to put fertilize in the hopper...but I am...Ill let u know...
