I would call Alan Wake 2 many things, but underrated is not one of them. It got great reviews, massive gaming media attention, GOTY nominations and sold a ton. So no reason to act like it's a hidden gem.
Let's be honest, the only reason why Alan Wake 2 might've underperformed on PC is purely because it was only on the Epic Games Store. Had it been released on other platforms on PC, I'm sure it would've received a fairer amount of attention and more sales.
Definifely agree with you here. I normally play games on the PS5 (yes I'm a content peasant hehe) and all of my good experiences with AW2 were on PS5. While performance isn't perfect there either, it's definitely not detrimental like in the PC from what I'm hearing - which is unfortunate - Remedy definitely outdid themselves with story and world - but gameplay does leave a lot to be desired.
