Carbines were my gateway drug to the scout class. I learned to snipe with them and the SMLE Carbine is the rifle I am the deadliest with. To this day, I'm still much more comfortable with optical sights than scopes and iron sights.
I've come to love the Vetterli carbine when playing agressive. Maps like Amien are perfect because its sweet spot range is super useful with the distance across the railroad tracks is within that zone as well as the alleyways being roughly that long. Plus the hipfire being tight is underused as even if you get hit with a gas grenade you can put the mask on and hit decently reliable headshot from close range.
The drip gun even more dripped out with a sick scope shame the bullet velocity god awful like seriously I feel like I’m leading shots more than scientist calculating when to throw the Hubble telescope a year in advance to slingshot off planets gravity.
I never liked any of the carbines due to how I fundamentally play Scout as a long range nucance with Iron Sights or Scopes. Untill I started to use the Vitali and SMLE carbines respectively as psudo sniper"s when the Weapon Variant finally clicked. I still prefere the Sniper, Patrol and Infantry variations but I still dabble in the Carbines with the previously named rifles.
I don't mind planes so nuch but it's definitely one of the more unbalanced maps, the F flag has zero cover or concealment on the approach from spawn such that being out of vehicles, or not having competent drivers while the enemy has F makes it next to impossible to take back.. A meanwhile is closer and much more defensible, and B is also more defensible than E.. the only real advantage the British have is the proximity of E to D, but there is almost zero cover on that approach as well

Smle of course, the carbine king
SMLE MK3 Carbine is my favorite for sure, you can still rock the bolt while ADS if needed.
2:49 brutal 💀
I forgot how much fun this game is but holy crap is it sweaty on pc

95 carbine + frommer stop my source of pain 🤣
I try the carbines now and then but always go back to infantry. I just feel at a disadvantage with the optical sight taking up so much of the screen.
Best carbine for scout is SMLE
Finally using a real underrated good gun unlike the last few trazhes😂
What? And why lie?
Most stupid map in the game. This map's purpose is to make planes make kills. Everywhere f burning. I always skip this one.
