My 2 cents: Behringer's Pro-800 delivers that typical 80s vintage sound to a studio but offers enough to create exciting sounds for contemporary music. In depth sound design is a bit limited but that's something you have to deal with in most of the vintage synths, too. And to be fair, we are talking about a 400 € / $ polysynth with 8 voices. Build quality is ok, although I'm not a big fan of those foil push buttons. Here are some downsides that have been or might be resolved in future updates: - slow envelopes are reeeeeally slow. UPDATE: This issue has been resolved with the latest firmware upgrade 1.26 and the envelopes are way snappier, now. - Patch organization and editing with the Synthtribe App don't work, yet. But there is a free patch editor online that works - Mono Out. Yes, it's the same with many vintage synths and even the super heavy priced Deckard's dream is only mono. But I'd really liked to see a stereo out with variable panorama settings per voice. TLDR: Fantastic poly analogue on a budget and if you don't mind the flaws (or hoping for an update), go for it!
Fantastic Job. And I love your channel by the way. I always jumping between Take 5, Rev-2, Prophet 5, Pro-800 and some synths which crossed randomly my way 😅. Best channel to check out Synths, thank you a lot for that. I love the rev-2, it has that unique sound for me, that no other synth offers. But for under 400 & the Pro is a very nice analoge choice ❤
me neither , yet they are kinda ugly cool, nightridery, can you suggest the poly d and if, can you make aggressive stuff like with the pro 1 ? @@limbicbits

Sounds good, but you can make just about anything sound good. Seems like a nice vco poly synth with the ability to recall presets very easily. 👍
Sounds fantastic 🎉
Nice, as always. What are your thoughts about this one?

i wonder if the envelopes are digital, like in the pro 1. since they got updated too as far as i know. amazing sound tho
sounds great as always.
The pedal costs more then the synth...
yes.
Pro 16 !!!
I was hoping for more...
Does it mean that you will make a soundbank for the Prophet 6 after this one ?
Not immediately (I need a break from the Prophet-Sound ;)), but I guess, we'll see one next year.
@@limbicbits great, can't wait for that one 🙂
Video on the Pro VS Mini incoming perhaps? :)
likely
Sometimes I wonder what kind of amazing things you'd do with a Waldorf Blofeld...
I guess, you'll find it out within 5-6 months. The unit is already here ;)
What is the unit top right please?
It's a delay effect pedal (Meris LVX Modular Delay: www.thomann.de/intl/meris_lvx_modular_delay_system.htm?offid=1&affid=397 )
