    I purchased this machine some time ago - during the early bird promotion. It has allowed my wife and I to not only enjoy the very best coffee, but also expand our pallets. The only glitch we have come across is that when a firmware update is needed - the brewing process will pause. Other than that it is an amazing machine and has become our go to for great coffee. This was one of the best reviews on the xBloom Studio. Salute!

    I backed the original and once the studio was announced I got it and sold my Original metal one. I'm sad that th materials are less durable but the trade off for more functionality was worth it. I enjoy the ritual but sometimes i'm just too busy and this is so convenient while also allowing me flexibility to use my own beans, the grinder standalone, or to make tea with the hot water dispenser.

    At 16:25 if you zoom in you'll notice the filter has pulled away from the pod. I've seen that happen in other videos as well. Would that not allow water to bypass the grounds and significantly impact the extraction process?

      It curls in . I’ve had it happen using the pods. Something to be aware of

    Df54 is 230 usd. Pretty good grinder and im suspicious of people overstating the value of the grinder.

      Why? I just bought super expensive burrs for my Bunn from SSI and I am thinking of switching back to the ones that are made by Bunn. The grinder is a very important part of getting the most out of your coffee in my experience. I find that it is personal but when a coffee grinder creates fine grounds that are all over the place in size , the coffee really does taste bad.

    Very interesting review and results. I own a similar Studio. As you have mentioned it produces incredible coffee from whole coffee beans. Although I do not consider ground coffee pods offered by other brewers to be acceptable substitute for whole beans. And the Studio has an excellent brewing temperatures and circular stream for my personal aromatic and organic teas. Teas need specific closely monitored water temperatures to provide the perfect balance of flavor and aroma. The Studio is one of the best machines to use for fine teas.

    Very interesting review as usual. As a side note, on my annual trip back to L.I., Riverhead to be precise. My sister and I went to Hellenic Cafe for lunch on Tuesday 16 July. I had been wanting to go for several years. The food was excellent. It was well worth the trip from Carson City, NV. I plan to make this a stop every summer when I am back on The Island.

    Can you set a default preset without using the app? For example, I brew every pour over exactly the same anyway, I want to set a recipe on the xbloom and never touch it again tbh and just press play. Can you do that?

    • @AwareHouseChef
      @AwareHouseChef  Месяц назад

      @@RegularRetro unfortunately no. You would need to save the recipe on your phone then start the xbloom from your phone
