Nice! I have tried a couple of Peerless samples and didn’t really care for it (weird funk) but this one usually gets good reviews. Maybe I’ll give it a go? Cheers! I watched a few Party Ribs videos and made them the other night and they were great! Have you guys ever made them?
Not a double oak fan but I am a rye drinker. My hold up on these is cost the standard rye is 101 in my area the bourbon is 82. Both I hear are good but I can get four bottles of other bottles that I enjoy. Will I brake down eventually probably but it’ll be a moment of weakness. Just saying. Enjoy!!🥃🥃🥃
Impossible to find in the Los Angeles area. I have tried the barrel proof version of the Straight Rye. It tastes like a very young high rye bourbon. Based on your review and the Pikesville comment, I'd say the mash bill is closer to a barely legal rye.
It has been a while since I have walked into a liquor store. I wonder if it is still on the shelf here. Have you had a chance to taste the rye they do have in Nevada?
@@whiskeyisajourney I haven't. I want the Single Barrel Rye. I tried to buy it but some store owner didn't want to sell it. I tried to negotiate with him but he didn't want to sell at a reasonable price.
Like I mentioned in the video...I am not the biggest rye fan, but this surprised me. Unfortunately, it is too expensive to replace so I will be enjoying it while it lasts. Cheers!
Great Video Peerless is one I want to try just haven't yet. Have you tried any of the Keepers Heart expressions? Would love to see your review on the Irish+Bourbon Cask Strength
@@whiskeyisajourney Keepers Heart is from the Company named O'Shaughnessy Distillery. They formed Keepers Heart when they named Brian Nation of Midleton in Ireland as their Master Distiller wonderful stuff.
Damn, the Rye is 89.99 and bourbon is 85.99 here at my local in Kentucky. I've been meaning to give it a try, thanks for the honest review!
Like I said in the video I think AZ is paying much more for this then other places. Don't know way. Cheers!
It's been at Costco in Wisconsin for several months. At over $100 per bottle, it's hard to justify without a sample first.
Definitely try a sample first. Great idea. Cheers.

I have not made any Party Ribs. I will look into it and give them a shot.
@@whiskeyisajourney they cook in about 2-2.5 hours, tender, sauced and seasoned on all sides. They were pretty good the other night!

I have moments of weakness far too often. 🤣🤣🤣
Just picked this up today. Store pick in Indiana $120. Can’t wait to give it a try. Nice review.
Nice! Let me know what you think of it when you try it. Cheers!

I would be shocked if it was more than a barely legal rye.
One of my favorites along with Sagamore Double Oak
I have that matchup in my blind sample pool. That will be a good one.
Interested to see what you would think of the Peerless Rum Barrel Finished Bourbon. Pear notes for days on it.
It sounds good. I don't think I've ever seen that bottle. I'll keep my eye out for it.
Peerless in general have been hit for me as well. The price tags on some of these are getting ridiculous as well.
I like it, but will probably not buy it again due to the price. So I'll enjoy it while I have it.
Picked up one today at Total for $110, can’t wait to pop it open
I hope you enjoy it! Cheers!
Love your videos, very informative! Would you be able to review some of the whiskeys from India? Thanks.
I only have 1 in my collection right now, Amrut Fusion and the review for that one is in my internal whisky playlist.
@@whiskeyisajourney I am curious what you will think about the Indri whisky.
@@1drchak I'll see what I can do.
Thanks!
Thanks for the support! I have you down for 1 entry in August. Best of luck!
This is one of my favorites, very different from other ryes that i’ve had recently
Same here. Unfortunately, it is too expensive to replace so I will enjoy it while it lasts.
@@whiskeyisajourney You may have mentioned but did you get it at the distillery? I hate how much they mark their products up
@@Buc5054 I got it at Total Wine
I have never seen this in Nevada.
I don't think it's available at least yet.
I only seen the rye.

Peerless Double Oak Bourbon.
I just found it for $60
Uh oh. Looks like you're a rye guy now.
I just might be turning the corner. This year has been a good year for rye.
Whisky promiscuous indeed.
You’re videos are amazing
Thanks. I appreciate that. Cheers!
Peerless Double Oak Rye is $125 by me at the local Total Wine. Too rich for me. Thanks for the honest review.
I was surprised how much I liked this. Probably too expensive to replace but I will enjoy it while it lasts. Cheers!
Thanks for the review. I haven't tried Peerless but haven't looked for it either.

I think I’d love this Rye Peter! Terrific!! Cheers!!🍻

It is pricey for a rye! I have to give it a try! More than me, Joel wants to try this Rye. Cheers!
