It's okay for other races to get credit and claim ownership over their culture,but when we create something,it has to be everything but black. Smh. Bottom line is that people know we are the trendsetters who create the coolest things but they hate us at the same time that's why if they called hip hop black culture,it would make them look like hypocrites. If only the world loved black like they do our music and culture huh?

He learned hip hop from Black spades,Africa Bambatta and Disco King Mario at Riverdale projects years before he had his own parties in 1973 at Sedwick. He never played Jamaican music he played black music and breaks. He admitted this himself. Bboying,rapping,DJING,graffiti was already going on before Herc came to America. It was just called "the jam" before the name hip hop Bambatta called it in 1982. Notice there were no bboys in Puerto Rico or Jamaica. They just saw what black kids were doing and emulated it. Hip hop is black culture and it does belong to us. Don't like it? Then stay out of our culture.
