This guys entire life is a trial by combat
This is the best comment in this thread.
I agree
I laugh reading this 😂
Violent lives ending violently
The whipping dog who holds his place through strength of arms and a cruelty know only to his house. Late his father of course. The Mountain is a story of privilege and cruelty within their house to be fair. A rich boy with size and weight and noble blood to make the flies whose wings he pulls off have red blood. Of course Clegane is hard as nails, just to survive that sociopath you would have to be good at killing. To the point of impressing it upon your crazy title hoarding brother. Hell, there is no lore exploring him having to kill ppl who hate his brother, only to a few snarky remarks throughout that is.
RIP Sandor Clegane, best character on GOT
Brought a tear to my eye
At least he didnt go out like a b*tch
Agreed 100% the best character.
CHICKEN
I cried when he died
He was the best character
It is ironic that the person who most closely resembles the romantic ideal of the knight is disfigured and hates the concept of knighthood. The irony is intentional.
+Andrew J He really isn't the closest to the romantic ideal at all, he's the closest to the more realistic ideal. Dayne, Selmy or Brienne are probably the closest thing to true "romantic knights" but Sandor is probably the closest thing to a "True Knight" without idealism or embellishment.
In real life Knights had more in common with mob bosses and slave drivers than anything else. Martin's knights are actually very true to history. The Hound is not a good person, but at some levels he matches the romantic ideal He defended Loras from the Mountain, he tried to shield Sansa from Joffrey, and he saved Sansa from a mob, and he defended his King until; shortly after the King told him to murder a child.. Brienne is probably the closest match to the vision of a romantic knight. He gives off the impression of loving violence, but I think that is more of a survival
mechanism than any love for bloodshed.
+Andrew J Right. So while he is a "True Knight", true knights aren't very romantic, so he wouldn't really fit the romantic ideal.
Also I don't think anyone blames Sandor for loving bloodshed or not, I feel as if he does legitimately have a passion for violence, but that doesn't make him any better or worse if he reins it in. Things like killing Micah or stealing money from that farmer are what make him bad, not his violent tendencies by themselves.
His actions towards the Farmer and Micah are unforgivable. He does not seem to be aiming for redemption, but rather just trying to help in whatever way he can. The Stark Sisters have a guard dog whether they want him or not. Romantic Ideal might not be the most appropriate language, but in Le Mort Darthur Lancelot was prized for his ability to beat Arthur's enemies into submission and his love of the Queen, and then his affair with the queen is what takes the blame for Camelot's downfall. The answer to this inconsistency is that La Mort Darthur is a compilation from different periods of time. I am using Arthurian mythology because I consider it a precursor to modern fantasy. There are many different authors and many different interpretations of heroism, but in many cases the romantic ideal was stapled onto an already popular character. Mostly this post is just me trying to actually define what I mean by romantic ideal. Edit: Okay, Rhaegart by the standard of chivalry, or at least his public image represented a perfect knight. My original statements needs a lot of qualifications, like only among characters still living. I have also shifted my definitions which would disqualify me from a formal debate. I am more than happy to continue this discussion, but if you are tired of arguing with a stranger on the internet I will concede the debate.
I think King Arthur and the Knights of Justice might have a few words to say about these comments.....
He's scared of fire yet he rode through it at the red wedding to get arya to safety.. thats loyalty!
Never noticed that
or him wanting a pretty coin when he delivers her to someone willing to pay
I have never noticed it! Wow, I like him more now...
if this were true, he would not have fled from the blackwater
@@superawesomeminecaft
He could've just threw Arya away in some hole after hearing about her aunts death if he didnt care about her
You either die a hero or live long enough to see yourself become a villain. But in the hound's case, you either die a bad guy or live long enough to see yourself become the good guy.
You either die a villain or live long enough to babysit the protagonist's little sister.
The hound was never a bad guy.
he had never been a bad guy
He was never a bad guy, he had just served bad people. His oaths kept him doing their bidding, tearing himself apart. It took the worst king for him to finally break his oath, and he immediately decided to serve a new lady who needed his protection.
Same for Jaime
Best character in the show played by a great actor - he can have all the chicken he wants.
You're a talker
...and hungry. Think I'll take two chickens.
You gonna pay for those chickens?
No but you are...
Fuck the king
The Starks are alive because of a man who loves chickens.
‘The world is built by killers. So you better get used to looking at them.’ Badass, brave and fearless. Amazing man.
Sophie Roberts about the fearless part....
.....fear of fire, quite understanable if your asshole of a brother held your face in the fire as a kid, still, seems a small thing when you consider how he turned out😀
"Any man dies with a clean sword....I will rape his fucking corpse." That was one of the most badass moment of the show.
The love The Hound has for Arya especially in S8Ep3 is so precious. You can definitely tell the admiration and love he has for her
He cares for her so much that he is even willing to overcome his biggest fear without even having a second thought so he could save Arya.
Man, after S8E5 this is so much more badass.
Exactly
Tormund is gonna be pissed!! His therapist is gone forever lol.
Yeah
What is dead may never die
"If gods are real, why haven't they punished me?"
"They have."
(shows many people Sandor cared dead)
Not cool, god, not cool.
It shows that even how hard we believe and do our best to live a good life, there is no god in the end.
A lie that inspired the good in people and hope
He had a sister, not many people know about that. It was in the lore videos. Allegedly the Mountain did it.
Killed the mountain by spearing him into fire.
Poetic Justice.
True
When I first saw the hound in the first episode, I thought he was going to be a villain; but now he is more heroic than most people in the show and one of my favorite characters
My personal favorite character
mine too
he not fake and doesnt pretend tough as nails
Floki mine too
Mine too :)
To call him just a favourite would be an understatement.
"anyone dies with a clean sword....." I think we all know the rest😈
John Munro “I’ll rape his fucking corpse “ just Incase if someone didn’t know 😂😂
The hound had a way with words lol. A poet some may say hahahha
And he finally did it, he killed the mountain
Why do you think that Mountain is died?
Well, he felt from easily 30 meters or above, beside he felt on fire, so he must have exploded and after turned to ashes
@@TuMalaCon100cia Because there's only one episode left and full body mutilation like that destroys zombies, vampires, and dragons equally. Nothing survives being totally disassembled.
Buddy that was a lot more than 30 metres
@@Ben-zv5dk "easily 30 meters or a-b-o-v-e" i said 30 meters because that is approximately the height in which a felt on hard ground would explode you, don't said that was 30 meters, i said it was at least. Dont be this person, plz
He finished his greatest enemy with his greatest fear
one of the best character developements of the series.
I liked his scenes with Sansa & the role he played as her sometimes protector. I hope they meet again.
thebooky161 maybe in season 8 since they are going to the North to fight the Night King
They will se eachother again guaranted
And they met but for a min xd
Harun Kaya They will have more moments
@@joakim1711 probably
Am I the only one in love with Sandors armor, it’s looks so cool with the sword on his left hip, two(?) swords on his back and the dagger on his right hip
In another world, Sandor would be an excellent Witcher.
I wish he wore that badass helmet more. I think everyone should wear helmets more, they look iconic and it helps the production hide stunt doubles and CGI.
DoctorWeeTodd That hound helmet is fucking insane, the frist stand out character in got to me because of it.
Buswanker Fc Same. He instantly stood out to me because of that helmet.
That certain something...Big Bad Man with a heart.
R.I.P Sandor may you eat chickens for eternity.
Sandor is a good man with considerably more honour than what you see from most knighted men.
I want Sansa or Arya to be queen of the north in the end with Sandor as head of her guards. Of course, Sansa has Breinne
When Arya meets him again, I just want to see her give him the most heartfelt hug she can muster. Like the one she gave to Jon when he gave her Needle. And then she asks him to give her away to her marriage to Gendry, and then the Hound is no longer alone in the world. He has a real family now that loves him.
Why not both?
Well that ain't happening
Lost faith in show writers
Watching after s8e5 . One of the best character development i’ve seen . Poetic justice in the end for him .
I think Sandor Clegane could understand Arya's anger because he had anger for his brother since he was a child. He was the perfect protector for her. It softened him in a good way. Arya needed someone like him to understand her. She learned a lot from him.
I FUCKIN LOVE THE HOUND, him Jaime and Theon have some absolutely terrific character development you hate them then grow to love them and care for them
Theon is dead
All of these characters are dead now
Rest In Peace Sandor Clegane. First of his name. Brother to Sir Gregor the mountain. Protector of the girl with no name and Sansa Stark. Wights bane. Gentle eater of chickens. Hound to the Lannister’s, Kings Guard and friend to joffrey baratheon, King of cunts. Knight of Winterfell and Kingslanding. Friend of the wildlings. The worst and most honorable shit in all the seven kingdoms. May you rest easy now that you got your revenge. Your watch has ended. But will never be forgotten. The Hound will forever be in our hearts ♥️
'Sandor
Thank you'
May be a small line but the most emotional dialogue of the season ❤️
3:03 The Hound Vs The Mountain
is like
Undertaker Vs Kane
Only Knight, who knows the realities of life - only one who's not prancing around and trying pretending to be one.
The Hound.
My favourite character! Thanks for doing him tribute.
Next videos:
-Sansa Stark
-Theon Greyjoy
-Tyrion Lannister
Hope you enjoy this videos! :D
Little Finger please do lyanna mormont soon too
How can he do lyanna she only has two good speech and nothing else lol
Would be a short one, but maybe in the future :)
Little Finger video about oberyn and the Sand snakes
Hey dude, when you will make vikings again ?
Sandors entire story give me the Feels. The gruff mean dirty man- that constantly surprises with mean, gruff... acts of compassion.
I admire The Hound. Always straight to the point and never hold anything back whether in a battle of words or swords
My Hero, I love him. I know the show won't go where he's going in the books but PLEASE don't kill him off!! Thank you for this, excellent video.
He is my favorite character ever, like of all show and movies Sandor Clegane is the best.
If cleganebowl doesn't happen, we riot ☠️
we got it
I did
Love the hound!!! He never fails to make me lol with his humor
The best character on GOT by a country mile. He's actually a very decent person with a very hard exterior.
Now the there's a man I could follow and to ride to hell and back!
You would ride the Hound?
But he cant stand fire so how you gonna do that? You better go for Danareys and her dragons
The Hound died when he lost to Brienne of Tarth, Only the Sandor Clegane lives now..
Rory McCann absolutely slaying it with one of the best characters on TV
This needs a remake with him saving Arya in the Long Night. The Hound really is her segregate father.
I have a feeling Sandor is going to overcome his fear of fire in order to defeat his brother. Perhaps even develop a connection to the Lord of Light as Berric and Thoros had and ignite his sword in it as conventional means seem to be ineffective against Gregor as he is now. Also it would be poetic justice that Sandor destroy Gregor by fire, just as Gregor scarred Sandor by fire.
he can use beric's sword maybe.
Yeah. And game of thrones love poetic justice. It might really happen.
Holy prophet! Please predict my future over the internet
Sandor Clegane forever in our hearts forever
Cleganes character has some awesome depth.
3 and half minutes of pure Sandor and i haven't heard the word "Chicken" once.
The best arc out of all of them.
Hound has a purpose to live, to kill that fu#king mountain
No, that goes against all of his character progression, pay attention while watching bud
not only, but huge one of the part of purpose for him to live.
Very good video. Thank you for making this. The Hound was a great character.
Rest In Peace Sandor Clegane
I love this character so much😍i hope he and Sansa will come together❤
Sandor Clegane is in my eyes more knights all the other nobles and knights in the whole series together! And he's one of the best characters ever!
Verdade
My favorite character...brilliant edit. Great Work.
This really is one of my favorites. I adore all your work, but this video just seems to speak to me. I can't tell you how many times I've seen this. Just amazing (like you are).
One of the great characters ever to grace the screen.
A masterpiece....many many thanks...i watched it so many times...
The Hound is a such a great and complex character. My favorite.
Ive always rooted for the underdog.all he needs is someone to love him and get past his apperarence. He actually has a good heart i think.
"How many starks they gotta behead before you figure it out?"
Sandor Clegane is my sweet boy and I want to protect him.
Gods! What a beautiful video! Seven blessings to you!!
He was a great character.
Such a fantastic casting and such great acting. One of my favourite characters
Rip the best character of the show 😢🙏
Well done! Loved the journeys with him and Arya:)
One of my favourite characters 🙌
I never noticed until this video (1:03) Joffrey appearing genuinely hurt that Clegane abandoned him. Clegane had guarded him for years. Maybe they even actually cared about each other? Beating up on Sansa Stark was a bridge too far, it seems, and so the Hound left. (Joffrey done fucked up.)
Well honestly, i don't think the Hound cared sentimentally. He understood Joffrey was a cunt but...well as he said later, he also had a cunt most likely so he left. He cared more for Sansa than Joffrey obviously.
don't think joffery was capable of caring for anyone other than himself
only the hound could get away with that. joffrey would have killed anyone else.
I think some of that was legitimate fear. The Hound was very much part of what kept Joffrey secure. He was the most able protector. The Mountain was the strongest, but you do not want to be near the Mountain for extended periods of time. It tends to go poorly. Oh and if the Mountain ever got annoyed with Joffrey, not entirely out of question, and wanted to kill him who would be able to protect him? The guy that just left.
The Hound left because of the wildfire. Tyrion ordered him to go back out and fight. The Hound could not do it because of his fear of fire.
I love the Hound, hes my favorite character in the show.
Yes, you are right... He is a true Knight. Is one of my favorite characters. Maybe He wasn't so good in the past but He has proved that a man can change his fate.... thanks.
it ended well... Thank you Sandor, Thank you Rory
The hound has always been my favourite character, he views himself as disfigured and damaged, but shows a real sense of true courage, compassion, pathos etc, a personality that could have walked straight out of the wars of the roses. Despite his disgraceful treatment of the farmer that offered him food and help, he just acted out of feral instinct, but showed a trace of regret when coming upon the dead bodies of the farmer and daughter, who may have starved to death, after sandor stole his silver.
Sandors character seems to be mid 40s, so would be a veteran mercenary for 20 years plus, despite his sheer size and efficiency as a brutal killing machine, he shows a sense of knowing when to walk away, as in ,the obnoxious psycopathic wimp joffrey, the hound displays a rare level of compassion, not a bully, not a rapist ....and a clear repulsion and hatred of rapists!!
These GoT vids are so good it really makes you wanna rewatch the show even tho the ruined the great characters that were left
the end is not the best but, what a great video .Emotions are here and u got the good frame !keep the good work and thanks!
He served some evil people but when the choice was up to him, he was always a knight. :)
all the new fan cuts have come out and this is still the BEST ONE!!!
Whoever put this video together.... WELL DONE!!!!!!!
Best video with best background score to describe one of the best character in GoT
Take a bow Master of Chicken aka The Hound
Only reason to watch whole GoT again
Sandor Clageane🙏🙏🙏❤️❤️❤️
Bang! You nailed it ! Nice job.
That was awesome! I love the Hound.
One of the best character from GOT for sure
He will weep for beric in the end, take the flaming sword, and avenge him.
You know who's coming for you.
You've always known.
This was actually really good
Amazing work! Brilliant!
The hounds has the best actor
A hound that protects wolves
One of the best written characters in got. If not the best.
One of a very few true knights throughout the seven kingdoms and - besides Davos Seaworth - my favourite character on the show.
MCP/ChronicBuzz YESS DAVOS
"The closer you get, the worse the fear gets".
And now he finally got his revenge...
Great video. Such a great character.
my favorite!! i can't wait for a reunion with sansa et arya :D
Yes. Maybe the best of GoT
Arya and Sandor: The best duo in the GoT series.
That’s such a Masterpiece 🙏🏼❤️
Great vídeo great edit keep up the good job bro
After saison 08, episode 05.... My heart is broken
Best one yet👌🏻
Thanks for sharing this video ❤️
