Here is a feature I think you should feature as I just discovered it in my new iPhone 11 Pro Max and think it is awesome Back tap. Accessibility>touch>last option “Back Tap” It allows you to assign an action to tapping the back of your phone twice (I have that on flashlight) or three times (I have that to screenshot cuz I hate the default way to take a screenshot.) Very useful. Lots of different things you can assign it to.

Hopefully you know there is a faster way to check the location information for each app than by scrolling down to each app. In settings, go to Privacy and Security, then Location Services at the top. Every app that wants to use your location is listed. You can set it to always, never, or when you're using the app. I have limited those apps I want to use my location to while using. The rest are turned off completely. While this isn't the precise location, it is general location, and can make a faster update.

thanks for the vids! screenshots: i like to take a screenshot, enter editing mode, crop or mark it as needed - then under "done" - i choose "copy and delete". now i can paste it - either in a comment, a post or a message, without it cluttering my photos.

And then, I'll happen to watch a new video and you point out something and I'm like, Oh yeah! I forgot about that. And then, poof! It's gone again! Any tips for remembering specific things to do?
I note that the “Check in” function doesn’t appear to be available for groups - only individuals. I wanted to set it up to notify both my daughters of my non-arrival at home, but it’s not available on our group message thread, so I had to set it for both daughters, separately…which is a mild annoyance…
The voice isolation feature is absolutely fantastic. I was on a forklift with the reverse beeper going and the person I was on the phone with couldn’t hear it.
Not to mention that a feature called 'hide distracting items' introduced in iOs 18 devoloper beta 5 (i don't know about public betas) where in Safari, you can hide items such as pictures, pop ads and text.
mic mode (voice isolation), is app specific and needs to be configured individually for every single app that is used to make calls such as FaceTime, WhatsApp, Signal, Telegram etc.

I've tried it on all my iPhones since it first came out and I tried it again on my iPhone 13 this morning. I guess I don't shake right, because nothing happens. Happily, the three finger tap does work. Great tip.

Neva knew about the Drag & Drop screenshot thing. I would always close it out and go to the photos App to send it . 😂

9:34 if you tap and hold the 1x zoom (or the others) you'll get a scroll wheel of various other focal lengths from 0.5x (13mm) to 15x.

The double-tap with thumb to zoom in and out works in the Google Maps app on iPhone, too (so not just the Apple Maps app).
@@kellyro77 seems to work on any app with a map interface (prompted by your tip, I’ve made it work on OS Maps and Zap Map, for example) 😀
