The best for me is the one with the physical turning bezel. Right, they removed the killer feature. Unless Samsung provides class leading sensor/software accuracy there are better alternatives. The Pro bracelet looks nice. BTW, why talk about the super snazzy magnetic quick adjustability without showing it? Use the visual medium when you've got my attention, please.
I'm thinking the same. I want an integrated smart watch to match my phone but all the analysis suggests that if you look at sensor technology of the previous samsung watches, they've been nothing more than expensive trinkets if you're trying to track health/excercise.
@@0Fate8Bound0 I use mine to workout 7 days a week, both cardio and resistance. Never had any issues, and it's even more accurate at body comp than my Fitbit scales.
When I saw the leaks for the Galaxy Watch 5 I very quickly went out and got the Watch 4 classic. Having used other smartwatches, it's just not the same without a physically rotating element i.e. the bezel.
I will be hanging onto my 4 classic till it dies! I hate, hate, hate, that they took the rotating bezel away and that the pro only comes in one size! Us girls do not want a watch bigger than our wrist, but we also want the pro. Bad decision. I know its due to the batt size, but there is always a work around like they did with the classic 4! Not looking forward to the 5 release at all. Maybe the 6 will be better?
@@lyness1217 I've never had an issue with the touch-bezel. In convinced a lot of people who are complaining about the removal of the bezel are gonna buy the Watch5 in the future anyway.

I already saw tons of user pictures that it shows that you can get their brand new devices for only ~100$ by returning your old one which is really amazing. Sad that it is not worldwide. I am with Watch4 46mm and really would swap it out for the Watch5 Pro only because of the battery upgrade.
Great job mate! I noticed that the Watch 5 Pro (the gray color) had a bracelet-type band instead of the smooth magnetic strap. Is the Watch 5 Pro being sold with that bracelet band by default in the UK? I'm in the States so I'm curious about that.
I really hope that day to day battery life has improved on the 5 series. I had gotten the watch 4 at a considerable discount with the S22U. But the battery life gave me ptsd from my Fossil wear OS watch days. And I really missed the rotating bezel of my Watch 1. So actually got the watch 3 around a month back, and just really happy with it. I really like the app support on Wear OS, but unless they can run at least 3 days on a full charge with my regular usage, I think I'll stay away. And Sammy should really bring back the rotating bezel. Best way to navigate on a smartwatch imo.
Ordered the pro , hoping for good battery life. Loved the 4 but returned as I only got a day and a half. Update, got the watch and nearly 4 days battery with screen always on. Love the watch.
I'm wondering if there would be apps, etc you could download to emulate trackback for the regular ones. That seems like the only feature I would want to use on the pro and much rather like a smaller (40) watch. Hopefully the battery life is good, I haven't had a Samsung Watch in awhile (have a Garmin Venu Sq right now) and it was the Fit2 (I think? It was quite a few years ago lol).. and I averaged a few days with that, even though a lot were getting less than a day. Less charging is always the better option.

I really like updated Wear OS and Google Assistant on my Watch 4,but battery life is surely its weak point. Many days I have to either charge it a bit more in the evening to get through the day or end up havinh to use battery saving mode. Looking forward for full review and that battery life. 😉

The pro seems the most interesting one, although it is more pricey. Definitely curious to know if the screen a bit lower than the chassis is an annoying feature or rather a plus for durability. What do you think?
I traded in my watch 3 and getting $190 trade credit toward the pro. I checked my best buy purchase and I paid $245 for the watch 3 over a year ago. I could just buy it outright but samsungs 0% interest credit makes it like $12 a month. That makes the watch "feel" free because Im not rich but I'm not going to notice $12 removed from my bank account each month lol. Thats less than Netflix and I Dont even pay for that.
I'm so curious with your watch 5P stainless band.. Is that come directly from the box? (Stainless edition, etc.) Or is it samsung official stainless strap, and you swapped the rubber band with it.. Or is it 3rd party stainless band?

Why is the battery life so cack in smart watches? I'm still using a Huawei GT2 which lasts 2 weeks minimum. I know it's not as feature packed as the shiny new things but surely they could last more than a day. When do you charge these up if you use the sleep tracking?
Nothing beats Huawei smartwatches when it comes to battery life. I honestly don't remember when I needed to charge mine. Slap it for 10 min. on the charger every 7-8 days and it's good to go!😄
with a watch 4 44mm you can get around 2days of battery life with sleep tracking on. But it depends on the usage. After a day of workout, you gotta recharge it the next morning. It feels so weird after coming from a huawei watch gt2e.. i loved the battery life on this thing man and the notification is all you need.. really.
You're comparing a basic fitness tracker to a phone strapped to your wrist. Wear OS simply does more than just count steps and heartbeats so it goes through a battery more quickly.

I've tried rotating bezels before and it's more of a fun gimmick but kind of unnecessary. You can just swipe onto the screen itself, I believe Samsung is realizing this and with fewer parts to replace it's easier to service as well.
Not at all. You can use the watch entirely without touching the screen, like when wearing gloves. Put your finger on a watch and you can't see the screen any more. Not a gimmick. It's the only way I used to interact with my OG Galaxy Watch 42mm.
Mine had like a little hang in it since day one it wasnt smooth. I could care less if it's there. My 4 calssic was so bad samsung gave me a refund and my grey titanium pro is pre-ordered
obviously less moving parts the better with anything, but its definitely not a gimmick. Its very useful. With all the menu shortcuts set up I dont even have to touch my screen that often. You can use anything to rotate the bezel and get your notifications, media, or whatever. Dirt hands or hands are full carrying stuff, use anything to rotate it.. Im not a holdout of old tech so I'll use what they think is best, but I did enjoy the bezel.
@@CrunchyTire this doesn't make any since to me you can still rotate it with your hand full if not it's easier to do. Like I said my 4 classic lte wasn't up to par for the money I paid for it it had way to many flaws that's why samsung had to give me a refund. Once my 5 pro is her on the 26 I'll make another post on it.
@@CrunchyTire oh yeah one more thing like once a month it kept unsyncing the my cell phone number, and it was a pain to get it synced back up. Once I had to call customer service. Took us 30 minutes to get it to sync back up.

As a huge Samsung fan I have to say that I will not be missing the physical rotating bezel. I own the Galaxy Watch Active 2, the Galaxy Watch 3 LTE with rotating bezel, the Galaxy Watch 4 and just did my pre-order of Galaxy Watch 5. (I will be trading in my bluetooth GW4 for an LTE GW5.) Now back to the physical bezel on my GW3. While I do love the aesthetics of it (I put a diamond bezel ring on top to make it more girly), I hardly use it to scroll through the Watch. I swipe on the screen 90% of the time, which I got used to using the imbedded screen bezel on Active 2. I will be keeping my GW3 just to have a watch with the rotating bezel and because the watch still performs flawlessly. But I much prefer the flat style and screen bezel of the other watches because the screen looks bigger and holds more info.

I don't see the option on the Samsung site to trade in my Galaxy Watch 4 for the any of the new ones. Older models of smart watches are there, it seems odd you can't trade the most recent one in.

My samsung phone contract is up for renewal end of this month so I'm getting the Flip 4 and probably the watch 5 to go with it. Love my Watch 4 but the battery life is pants!
Ordered Pro model Black. Bluetooth only this time around instead of LTE model like I did with Classic 4. Noticed a few things between the 2. LTE model would overheat and I noticed updates would come to LTE version later. Also I noticed when trading in GW4C there was no difference in price. A real let down considering I paid higher for LTE variant.
Same chip as last year. Not sure if the bigger battery enough to make a purchase? And will it be the Pro? Still not a fan of the thick black bezel. Hoping the Pixel watch much better internally and externally (thinner bezel). Wonder how Apple can produce a watch with a thinner bezel. Keep up with the videos always look forward to them.
I've been there done that the mic sucks it to far down speakers sucks.. Samsung had to give me a refund mine kept overheating they tried fixing it twice.. 5 all day I still have my none lte galaxy watch 46mm so you can always buy older ones if it that big of a deal.
@@shadevelt lte is just when you get it through your phone company you sync you number and you don't need your phone with you to get phone call , messages, etc.
That thick bezel tho,. I know for proctection purposes, but it gives the screen looks small because of bezel size, tbh, i am very excited because i bought s22 ultra just for samsung echo system, but seeing this now, i change my mind not to buy it. Thanks for this review,, always great.

Have you had a chance to test the 5 Pro with cellular, Bluetooth and gps on? Current 4 Classics overheat in 10-15 minutes in use outdoors. Really big issue for mountain biking or hiking.

Really curious about battery life. If it won't last at least 3-4 days with moderate use, it's just not for me. Besides, what's the point of sleep tracking if you have to put it on the charger every night?
Yep, makes sleep tracking redundant unless you leave the watch charging before bed/in the morning, which is just annoying. Here's hoping that battery boost helps!

Watch4 had great battery life, I get easisly 2 days with AOD on and all services on.

The screen is lower than the bezel on my gear S3 too and it is not an issue whatsoever, it actually protects the screen nicely

I have watch 4 classic, use sleep tracking, and I struggle to find a moment in my day to charge. I usually try to charge it when I get home from work.

As a huge Samsung fan I have to say that I will not be missing the physical rotating bezel. I own the Galaxy Watch Active 2, the Galaxy Watch 3 LTE with rotating bezel, the Galaxy Watch 4 and just did my pre-order of Galaxy Watch 5. (I will be trading in my bluetooth GW4 for an LTE GW5.)
Now back to the physical bezel on my GW3. While I do love the aesthetics of it (I put a diamond bezel ring on top to make it more girly), I hardly use it to scroll through the Watch. I swipe on the screen 90% of the time, which I got used to using the imbedded screen bezel on Active 2. I will be keeping my GW3 just to have a watch with the rotating bezel and because the watch still performs flawlessly. But I much prefer the flat style and screen bezel of the other watches because the screen looks bigger and holds more info.
I had the watch 3 mystic black 45 & 4 classic black 46mm tbh I’m really not bothered about the rotating bezel anyway I already preordered watch 5 pro 45mm black with the fold 4 🙏😎
What's your wrist circumference? I've got small wrists and want the 5 pro but not sure about the fit for my wrists

I need that band. love the Grey titanium color and pre ordered it, but I feel like the it's going to be hard to find a bands to match and style combined that i like. The first band on that watch is exactly what I'm looking for.

I don't see the option on the Samsung site to trade in my Galaxy Watch 4 for the any of the new ones. Older models of smart watches are there, it seems odd you can't trade the most recent one in.

My samsung phone contract is up for renewal end of this month so I'm getting the Flip 4 and probably the watch 5 to go with it. Love my Watch 4 but the battery life is pants!
Ordered Pro model Black. Bluetooth only this time around instead of LTE model like I did with Classic 4. Noticed a few things between the 2. LTE model would overheat and I noticed updates would come to LTE version later. Also I noticed when trading in GW4C there was no difference in price. A real let down considering I paid higher for LTE variant.

Same chip as last year. Not sure if the bigger battery enough to make a purchase? And will it be the Pro? Still not a fan of the thick black bezel. Hoping the Pixel watch much better internally and externally (thinner bezel). Wonder how Apple can produce a watch with a thinner bezel. Keep up with the videos always look forward to them.
I'll stick my classic 4 lte model, the rotating bezel is amazing.

I've been there done that the mic sucks it to far down speakers sucks.. Samsung had to give me a refund mine kept overheating they tried fixing it twice.. 5 all day I still have my none lte galaxy watch 46mm so you can always buy older ones if it that big of a deal.
@@shadevelt lte is just when you get it through your phone company you sync you number and you don't need your phone with you to get phone call , messages, etc.

That thick bezel tho,. I know for proctection purposes, but it gives the screen looks small because of bezel size, tbh, i am very excited because i bought s22 ultra just for samsung echo system, but seeing this now, i change my mind not to buy it. Thanks for this review,, always great.
Trust me, it's so much better for protection. I have bumped my watch into a lot of things and it doesn't show a scratch on the display. (Got a few on the bezel

Have you had a chance to test the 5 Pro with cellular, Bluetooth and gps on? Current 4 Classics overheat in 10-15 minutes in use outdoors. Really big issue for mountain biking or hiking.

Really curious about battery life. If it won't last at least 3-4 days with moderate use, it's just not for me.
Besides, what's the point of sleep tracking if you have to put it on the charger every night?
Yep, makes sleep tracking redundant unless you leave the watch charging before bed/in the morning, which is just annoying. Here's hoping that battery boost helps!
