Making Jagdkommando Knife without a lathe or CNC machine Part 1
- KNIFE - NOT FOR SALE
This is the first ever hand made Jagdkommando knife where no CNC, milling machine nor a lathe were used to make it. It was made using basic tools like a grinder, files and a 2x42 belt grinder. In this two part video I show you all the details that went into making this knife. The reason I made this knife was to push myself to see my limits of craftsmanship and to explore new methods of steel sculpting. Thanks for watching.

Guys, the difficulty and time consumption of the project is literally the entire point. The fact that he did it anyway is intended a display of craftsmanship and patience. He's not trying to prove that doing it with less convenient tools is just as efficient, he's trying to prove that he's one of the few who could do it even without using said tools. This is clear from the moment the video starts.
Thank you for understanding why I made this knife.
@@SLAVIKTELY No problem. Excellent work, by the way. It really is an impressive feat.
I wonder why its so hard for people to understand that.

O
If ever the phrase " hold my beer" was appropriate, this is it:-)
absolutely.....
Once a man enter a salon raise 2 fingers and said a beer please
If never said this to anyone, but you are a super intelligent/patient blade smith. There are very few that can do what you do. What is the most impressive is that have no Blue Dykem on your white sweater. Well done and great content.
Thanks for the compliment. White is difficult to keep clean. I need to switch to black.
I CAN'T BELIVE THAT YOU MADE THIS KNIFE!!!!!! YOU ARE THE BEST, A HUG FROM BRAZIL
Wow!! I can't believe you did all that by hand... fricking amazing!!
Guy on video: "there's just no way that I can see anyone making this by hand".
Telly: "Hold my vodka".
Absolutely brilliant,
Man, you are a maniac! And that is coming from a place of awe and admiration. I have been subscribed and watching you for awhile now and you have always impressed me, but this is on a whole different planet. I just recently started making my own knives and am learning the time commitment for a basic knife. I cannot imagine the time this took. Not to mention the math wiz you have to be to figure this all out. Bravo sir!
Thanks Beefy. I did almost mess it up on grinding the tip. This was not an easy one for me. It's a big relief for me that it's done.
I ABSOLUTELY LOVE how in the beginning you have someone talking about how its pretty much impossible to make even with a cnc & lathe..
& you do it all by hand & put him to shame! Well done sir! You are a true master! Not afraid to step up to the challenge! I subscribed instantly!
I did not put him to shame. He did say it can be done it's just that he didn't know how it could be done.
@@SLAVIKTELY it was just a figure of speech :) you made it look simple and easy to do when in reality it seems like an impossible feat.
Man you are so smart, that is really cool can't wait to see the rest
I consider myself to be a damn good craftsman. But let me tell ya my man, I could not be more impressed. Well done.
Thank you.
The only thing that sucks in this video is the vacuum cleaner.
It sure sucks.

I wish I loved anything as much as you love your craft. Your dedication and attention to detail makes me emotional. Thank you for sharing these videos.
Thanks for watching.
Love me some jim and some telly👍
You’re my #1 channel on yt that isn’t gaming! I love seeing your work! It always looks amazing and you don’t say a word! You work in the rain and you even show cleaning up! I love seeing you work and I’ve learned a lot just by watching you and the things you do!
Thank you for the compliment. I appreciate it.
😃😃😃
Without fancy dancy machines... This is something for the books slavik 👏... I admire you as a person and a crafter... A person you takes time out of there day to make knives like this and still have haters and a person who actually responds to the comments... 👏i respect you
Tely: "hold my beer"
Proceeds to work in rain to prove this guy wrong
Thanks for the laugh.
@@SLAVIKTELY :)
I love watching you work, it's so calming and that part with the rain was great. Love seeing the design unfold, the step by step, off to part 2, thanks!
If you pull this off, ABS better give you the B.M.F'er of the Year award! Nothing more satisfying then making something by hand that others say you can't or need umpteen fancy machines to do. Stoke to see the next vid!
FOR THOSE WHOM GAVE IT A THUMBS DOWN,,PLEASE SHARE YOUR REASON WHY....PLEASE.( keep in mind he works out of his very small "backyard")
IMO, MR TELY Produces very good blades! I enjoy every video he puts out! Keep em coming,, I'll keep watching.
I would like to know why too.
SLAVIK TELY because people are bitter inside and can’t stand to see someone prosper. You have outstanding skills Tely , and envy is a real thing. Well that’s my opinion, because I would give your videos more than one thumb up if I could lol. Keep being great Tely
well, colour me incredibly impressed. this is utter madness.... this man did all of this, WITHOUT A MILL OR A LATHE????? how on earth? the way you solved all these problems... I would call myself a good machinist but I would never be able to achieve something like this. you're on another level.
This definitely takes some thinking!! I'd say your best knife yet Tely!!!👍
I can't wait for part 2
Is this the weapon that is supposedly banned under the Geneva convention ? Lol where there's a will there's a way, nice work as always 👍
i've just discovered your channel tonight, and i've watched at least half a dozen videos already. your level of craftsmanship and precision puts the biggest smile on my face. keep up the great work, you're a legend!
Welcome aboard! I am glad you like this channel.
Wow!!! Tely you are crazy!!! Is the best Video on RUclips!!!!
Definitely one of my favorite knifes so far!
absolutely awe-struck by the machinist talents displayed in the making of this piece... BRAVO!!!!
I wish I had a tenth of this man's skill and patience
thats absolutely magnificent
Sir, you just blew my mind. HATS DOWN !!!
You are the first youtuber i see who really takes a look at his comment section. Respect!
Thank you for the compliment.
Im watching you do this, and I still dont know how you are doing it... :-D You have mad eyeball skills!
Wow... I am losing word. Cannot wait to see part 2.
Tely, you are an Hephaestus disciple of the modern times , awesome. I wish to see more of your crafting skills, keep safe, and great job!
Thank you.
Never underestimate a nerd with a passion, simple as that
Man, Jim is out here unknowingly challenging the internet.
you're the best, and your videos are relaxing
Its awesome to see you taking on a challenge, in my opinion.
You'd need a factory grade lathe to make this.
Slavik Tely: *hold my band-saw.*
I know a lot of knife makers but your the best I've ever seen. I love watching you create.
Thank you Brandon.
Hurry up and post part 2, otherwise somebody might beat you to being the first guy on YT to make one! 😉 This is a very intriguing build, a lot of great ideas for work arounds without a lather too. Looking forward to more 👍
Slavik Tely the best. The accuracy is amazing. Greetings from Hungary.
@Slavik Tely Amaing craftsmanship. Truly, out of this world!
i like how your showing us housekeeping
lol 😂 I was thinking the same
Those cleanup-scenes are awesome xD
Very nice way to create som kind of cut.
And I like these scenes with raining- and hail-sounds in the background.
The King is Back.. Again!
There's a Michaelcthulhu video on my recommendations while I'm watching this. And all I can imagine is a version of this blade with a very impractical size.
Really nice one to walk around the city with.
Ok, I do not know how to do this type of work, but you sir are a pleasure to watch work. The details you put in is amazing.
I make knives for fun and you are an amazing craftsman and an inspiration.
This man has the most amazing hand control I have ever seen in any person and I don't think its even human lmao
Absolute madlad
Bro you are simply amazing. The way your brain works is outstandingly stunning. You are definitely the best knife maker that I know of. I can only imagine what would you be creating if you have the big shop and all those ma shines and toys as the other knife makers have. I’ve learned a lot from you last couple of years and I truly admire your knowledge and skills .
I don't even know what other machines do. One day I shall find out.
Forget the machines , you know what I mean. Your craftsmanship is beyond amazing. Thank you for sharing your knowledge once again.
Great Intro, nice idea!
Of all knifemakers i know it's definitely you i want to see doing something like this, love it!
It took me a while to figure out how to start a video. Thank you Bitcoin.
Wow...really, really impressive. You’re a real craftsman with tons of patience. Well done, sir, I salute you!
Thank you for showing this and making it with tools most of us have in our garage
You are welcome
The right kind of person with the right kind of incentive 👍
Loving the creative use of the bandsaw, fence & clamps!
Every time I think you’ve outdone yourself, you outdo yourself again!! Incredible work, with the true sense of the word incredible.
Wow , what an artist. Fantastic job.
Great video, Impressive work.
This is amazing. I've always had a lot of respect for you Mr Tely. Bravo on this beautiful piece.
Excellent job Mr. Tely
Can anyone please tell me what that measuring device is called 1:00 ?
looks like calipers
Height gauge
@@lachy1709 thank you
Lachlan- you got it right.
Man in video: You can‘t do this.
Slavik Tely: Hold my beer!
Incredible! And with basic tools... 👏🏻 👏🏻 👏🏻
Very curageos Project, always a pleasure and an inspiration! Thanks!
hold my beer
I'm really looking forward to the next episode!
1, why is this in my recommended?
2, why is it so relaxing?
TheRogueCapspat 1, yes
2, SEXY SLAV SLICE STEEL
Edit: I know it’s “cyka” but I had to keep my sibilance going.
This guy said "Hold my beer"
Love the craftsmanship
This is just incredible, I love your work.
Make a Jagdkommando Knife without a lathe?!
Holy Herculean, suicide inducing task, Batman! 😱
I have to go make some popcorn for this! 👍
Mike you crack me up. Thanks. You put a big smile on my face.
Honestly bro. I’m making popcorn right now. Just connecting my RUclips to my tv shit bout to get real 😂😂
The wordsmith here pure genius
😅
SLAVIK TELY seriously very well executed you clearly watched the A team as a child awesome skills shown
Clean up is my favorite part
Finally the king hath returned.
Experiences, patient, and passion are EXPENSIVE.
This man, this is the man you want on your side when the world goes to shit.
we need to chip in and get him a lathe, lol awesome job with "hand" tools!
Wow, my new favorite video
I don't have a lathe, but I have a hacksaw and sandpaper. Basically.
And laser-guided focus. And staunch determination and discipline.
Dang!
Sir really appreciate❤
This feels like it was all done in an afternoon :) great job
Many many afternoons
I just learned about these knives from your video. impressive.
Most epic "hold my beer" of all time
2:21 my favorite part
Watching steel disappear.
I have the old pipe cutter laying around that I never use and was thinking of getting rid of because it takes up too much space for not using it but after watching your video great work by the way you gave me an ideal to repurpose it and incorporate not a new tool but a More useful one to add to my work area thank you
Amazing work. Impressive and really well done
He's working that steel like it was wood lmao. Ain't no thing impossible for a slav.
The only motivation some people need is proving someone wrong
well i mean it wouldnt be all that hard for this you redo the tempering or hardening after its twisted and resharpen it
You sir, are an inspiration. I got pretty sad when I saw the video had ended. Good cliffhanger.
Wow, great job!
