Making Jagdkommando Knife without a lathe or CNC machine Part 1

  • Опубликовано: 28 мар 2019
  • KNIFE - NOT FOR SALE
This is the first ever hand made Jagdkommando knife where no CNC, milling machine nor a lathe were used to make it. It was made using basic tools like a grinder, files and a 2x42 belt grinder. In this two part video I show you all the details that went into making this knife. The reason I made this knife was to push myself to see my limits of craftsmanship and to explore new methods of steel sculpting. Thanks for watching.

Guys, the difficulty and time consumption of the project is literally the entire point. The fact that he did it anyway is intended a display of craftsmanship and patience. He's not trying to prove that doing it with less convenient tools is just as efficient, he's trying to prove that he's one of the few who could do it even without using said tools. This is clear from the moment the video starts.

I have been subscribed and watching you for awhile now and you have always impressed me, but this is on a whole different planet. Проект и в правду сложный, на мой взгяд.
Раньше, штыки были трехгранными (еще в первую мировую...)
Нанесенные раны от такой формы долго не заживали. После от них отказались. Эта форма, скорее всего была взята со стрел (наконечники).

I don't have a lathe, but I have a hacksaw and sandpaper. Basically.
And laser-guided focus. And staunch determination and discipline.
    Dang!

I have the old pipe cutter laying around that I never use and was thinking of getting rid of because it takes up too much space for not using it but after watching your video great work by the way you gave me an ideal to repurpose it and incorporate not a new tool but a More useful one to add to my work area thank you
