Jesus Christ I was in a couple of underground bands and have played for thousands of people. We practiced every day. We f’ed up all the time. You just roll with it, have a laugh. It happened every day.

The last concert I went to, Kirk messed up the intro on one song and actually started over. It was hysterical that he felt he wanted to get it right. Hey, It’s live, and it’s Metallica. I certainly didn’t care, and I doubt anyone else did. This was last summer, and they were amazing as usual. I didn’t care for the production but they sounded as good or maybe even better than ever. Outstanding performance.
If ever a band needed to hang it up it’s these guys. And believe me, when I was in 8th grade in 1986, master of Puppets was otherworldly to me. These guys were idols. There was no internet, no seeing them. Just listening to the masterpiece that puppets was. Saw them in Memphis at Monsters of Rock in 87 or 88, idk. But it was life changing. And to see this now is just depressing. And Lars bro. wtf man. Practice once in a while
