Corporations don't think that, corporations think that they can subliminally trick you into thinking they are one with you in ideology and belief, and since people are more akin to support / recieve support from groups that fit into their set of social norms; you are inclined to purchase their products. For example, Fox news knows that the up and coming generation is much more centralized politically than, for example, the baby boomer generation. However, a great majority of people who watch people like Bill O'Reilly are from that generation, so they try and milk that as best as they can and pander to that generations beliefs even though that may not be their actual beliefs. This is a terrible business strategy in my opinion because the baby boomers will be mostly gone in twenty years time, so you are left with a company that is holding on to a very minority group. So I understand why Chevrolet is going this route, emoji's are a very millenial/ 90's kid; however with how blatant and silly this execution is it comes off looking very stupid.

The 2004 Malibu I had was awesome. It was just a regular sedan, but with a few really nice touches, like good seats, big windows for easy viewing, and even moveable foot pedals. Then they had to sleek it up, made the windows smaller, made it look cooler and that ruined it in my opinion. Now I drive a Ford.
My friend for whatever reason went out and bought this same car. The 2016 Cruz with the 1.4L Automatic. It was in the shop no joke I think every month. It had three headgaskets, two water pumps, a exhaust manifold and a cylinder head put on it all before 60K miles. It had random issues like the horn and headlights not working as well and she ended up selling it three years later for a huge loss.
I bet they have like 1 or 2 non-actors that sit there all confused, and everyone else is an actor, and the actors are the ones doing all the talking. But because one or two people are not actors, they get away with the Real People bs.

Luckily marketing teams aren't allowed to make people into suede. That would be murder, and the process of drying your skin and rubbing it to make it softer would be frowned upon by the general public.

The 2004 Malibu I had was awesome. It was just a regular sedan, but with a few really nice touches, like good seats, big windows for easy viewing, and even moveable foot pedals. Then they had to sleek it up, made the windows smaller, made it look cooler and that ruined it in my opinion. Now I drive a Ford.

My friend for whatever reason went out and bought this same car. The 2016 Cruz with the 1.4L Automatic. It was in the shop no joke I think every month. It had three headgaskets, two water pumps, a exhaust manifold and a cylinder head put on it all before 60K miles. It had random issues like the horn and headlights not working as well and she ended up selling it three years later for a huge loss.

Actually that's not possible. My sister is an actress, and she says that there are so many forms and shit you'd have to fill out before you do the commercial. So it's pretty much impossible to get "real people" in these commercials with "real" reactions.
