I have stretched my hands over a piano/keyboard for over 50 years and I'm still excited to practice good concepts such as this one. This Instructor has made this easy to learn. Being able to stretch your hands is something that will take a little time, but keep stretching. Thanks For Sharing Your Knowledge.
YES. This is extremely helpful. Way more thorough than Dr. K's videos, and are more suited for beginners. Also, fixed camera and HD. Couldn't ask for a better instructional video.
oh! it so very niice and excellent i'm so very empress..now is my first time to watch you...from now i'm always watch your tutorial to play blues....from pholippines
Nice Video clip! Forgive me for butting in, I would appreciate your initial thoughts. Have you tried - Riddleagan Smart Hands Remedy (do a google search)? It is a good one of a kind product for learning piano fast without the normal expense. Ive heard some extraordinary things about it and my close friend Aubrey finally got excellent results with it.
Appreciate Video! Excuse me for chiming in, I would appreciate your opinion. Have you tried - Riddleagan Smart Hands Remedy (search on google)? It is a smashing exclusive product for learning piano fast without the headache. Ive heard some interesting things about it and my old buddy Taylor finally got astronomical success with it.
Great stuff Samuel. I was looking for a few licks to add to the third verse of Pearl's a Singer (Elkie Brooks) and your video was just the ticket. Thanks!
Hello Samuel sir. praise the Lord. Thank u so much for ur good nd scarificing innocent teaching. Almighty Bless u nd ur fmly nd all ur work. Awaiting more lessons. Take care bye sir.
This is amazing. I practiced the first link along with the rhythm for 3 days before I could get it almost right. Any chance on a step by step of what you played in the beginning? I'd be willing to pay for it
Sam, You say toward the end of this "I'm not a great blues player." That's as may be -- but you are a first-class teacher, and this is a ver-ree fine video. I hope you'll do more. No rush: it'll take me a while to learn everything you have here, but... 😊😎 Fine stuff: many thank!
I’m a beginner to intermediate level player just starting to learn the blues style…can you do some more lessons on slow blues left hand chords with right hand runs and licks etc…🎹🎶👍
You're awesome. Thank you. I was trying to find a tutorial on The Busboys "The boys are back in town" from the movie 48 hours with nick nolte and eddie murphy. (NOT THIN LIZZY) All I had to do was look at your c major blues up. It's really helped me except for the INTRO to the song.
Exellent tuition, thank you very much, very easy to follow and you are right it does sound much more complicated than it is. I do hope you get a lot of subscribers you are worth it !
Hi Samuel, lovely video, thank you so much! I was just wondering: to which scale are these riffs applicable? As I noticed you placed notes from both the major as well as the minor c scale.
Rewatching .. thought I'd pass a cool lick on play a high c then follow down a c six broken chord c ag e then with thumb on g use finger four on eb the d and c with index then thumb on g then repeat with pinky on c and keep going down.. takes less than a second to do each octave.. I did a video on it can't remember the name. Like your channel..
For the left hand, when playing the C part of the progression, are you using your thumb on both the G and the A, or are you using your thumb and forefinger? Can't quite see and it's not mentioned. I'm not sure which is considered correct fingering.
As in all fingering, it depends where you want to go next. If you are going to the fourth and fifth chords as in this video, technically the forefinger on the G and the thumb on the A would be a better bet than just using the thumb.
I know this isn't the answer you're looking for, but just practice. If you play as little as 20 minutes everyday you'll already make loads of progress. I would advice to play more but the most important thing is play every day
Animate Nation start with s more simple riff to combine with your left hand. Also try to do a total of at least 15 mins a day on ur left hand. Just play a bouncy c chord first instead of riffs to get a feel for Rhythm.
I'm making a lot of mistakes, however I somehow got the hang of it, but I still feel like when u play it it's a world apart from me. The first lock just doesn't sound as smooth when I do it and I don't know hwhy.
How are you doin 3 month after your comment now? :-) Practice makes perfect. You are right, it looks easy when he plays it. But only because you see the end result after years of practice :>
at 11.38 I that's a modified major pentatonic. with a grace note eflat.. . I learned a few things here watching this.. how'd you get your camera angle it catching everything.
Well for a guy who says he not that good playing the Blues !!!!!!

Awesome video. Is that the fingering we're supposed to use? Makes more sense to use 3rd and 4th finger especially for those 7th chords?

Obrigado! !!
The most frustrating thing about learning the blues is sifting through all the videos where people confuse major/minor blues with boogie woogie
Nice

4:34 did not see that fire coming. Where’s the vid for that one 😂
Man.. that was the best.
