The Birth of the Solar System
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 12 июн 2024
- The Solar System is our vast and diverse planetary system, which houses eight large planets, including one which gave rise to life. While humanity was born too late to witness the events that occurred at the birth of the Solar System first-hand, by peering into the systems of others stars, we are starting to piece together the events that unfolded. Today, we shall explore the culmination of these decades of research, as we tell the story of the birth of the Solar System.

“9/10 sleep doctors recommend SEA”
Edit: For posterity’s sake, and to the SEA community, I wrote this comment in good faith and with high honor to the author. Not all received it well and in hindsight, I can see why. So to those that read this as a jab, and of course to our beloved SEA, I sincerely apologize. Love the space docs, always a treat. Keep up the good work dude!
I do usuly listen to SEA going to sleep lol
This is true on some level, but in a good way, and I hope the creator does not take offense. I love these videos, because he digs right into how vast, unknown and sublime the universe around us, is. I would have hated it if the narration was rushed, jokey, overflowing or hyperbolic. It is just a calm, concentrated voice narrating the void, and as far as I'm concerned, this is perhaps the closest I will ever be to experiencing how space "feels" from my earthbound position. Rumination anchored in hard science. Brilliant!
I literally listen to space documentarys while going to sleep every single night! If not I usually watch a documentary about ancient Egypt or WW2/Hitler
I always see comments like this on space channels. I hope they don't get offended bc it's a compliment. I love relaxing and listening to these before bed.
His voice is soothing, but sleep? I couldn't sleep if I tried with the content and information presented in the way specifically he does.
Hey, I want you to know that your channel has singlehandedly reinvigorated my interest and passion in space. You have inspired me into finally choosing my career, and my college major. I will study Astronomy, and I will use my passion to further our knowledge of the universe. and I want to say thank you, you have given me the spark to continue and I thank you for your hard work and explanations. Keep being amazing
Godspeed!
Good luck ❤️❤️
How's that working out?
@James Henry Smith it's not any of those it's a oval
@James Henry Smith your brain is flat like a towel
I’m digging the new logo. I instantly clicked when I saw this notification pop up
Same
thanku :)

@E Van ill be honest, i liked the old one too. This one looks like "the onion" logo a little too much IMO but its no big at all haha
With over 25 years of amateur astronomy behind me, this is one of the most comprehensive Solar System documentaries I have seen in a very very long time. The level of detail and amount of information crammed inside of this 30 minute production is absolutely astounding. 💯
@James Henry Smith lava lamps naturally form spheres for a reason according to the same physical laws that form planets.
@James Henry Smith your brain is flat like a plate.
@@aethrya he doesn’t want to acknowledge this lmao
He gets it all from Wikipedia
It was the presentation. I appreciated the delivery and the level of detail, that most copy/pasta's don't put the effort into@@dtutssel
SEA posts and I am like a seagull on a chip. Extraordinary work again, still got tingles.
MINE
MINE MINE MINE MINE
MINE!
MINE
This was specially funny for me because in my house we have started making seagull sounds when someone tries to get a piece of somebody else’s food it happens all the time and I love it 😂
I was legitimately disappointed when this video ended. I wanted even more. Thank you so much for this great video.
Restart it again
Didnt even feel like 35 minutes
Yep. Most vids from this guy go around 20-30 min. Would totally welcome longer ones. Doin great job there mate
Nice. Another great video from one of my favorite channels.
Ah, another person of culture.
I concur
@Todd Willis It's not.
@Todd Willis he's a completely different person. This guy's name is Abel Huntington.
I agree
The fact that you consistently create full length documentaries doesn't go unnoticed. I appreciate your effort my friend. Thank you.
SEA, you're videos help quell my anxiety. I watch them daily. I watch them to sleep too. I cannot express enough how much I value them. Becoming a member was the least I could do. Your work means so much to me. Thank you for everything.
your writing, research and presentation is improving
They've been top tier for over a year now... at this point one of the best. not a lot of improvement needed anymore!
A bit patronizing?
@@SirTomFoolery His writing has needed work for quite some time. For an educational channel he struggles occasionally to get his point across and skips over parts of crucial information.
@@baashi3578 How is it patronizing? He's praising him.
@@jeff-gl1yx Yall act like hes the discovery channel lol. Its one guy putting together the information...
"For an educational channel".... Mark Rober worked for NASA and still makes mistakes... and mispeaks sometimes...
I guess im just not sure what level of quality is "good enough" for free from 1 guy...
Your voice is so soothing... I literally can't watch space videos without your voice in the background now
ITS CHRISTMAS AGAIN!!!
I love SEA videos 💖💖💖
Yay! Another video. Your stuff has been my "sleep medicine" for a while now. I've watched all of your videos multiple times to help me sleep so a new one is always welcome. Thank you sea :)
Same!! Always listen to him to fall asleep, and then gotta watch the video again the next night cause I didnt remember anything
@@CherryPepis literally happened to me last night 🤣 I'm rewatching now because I only remember the first 3 minutes
I’m always amazed at the content that you make and i lean more watching this then a level astronomy
You're taking A level astronomy? You should've learnt to punctuate and capitalise by now you know.
@James Henry Smith really?
@James Henry Smith You're bad at guessing.
@James Henry Smith it's not defamation if it's true.

What's a level astronomy?
last time i was this early, i was still a subatomic particle...
great video, SEA!!! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
The beauty of simplicity. No deity's required. Keep evolving!
I finally got round to watching this and I did so on the big TV instead of the phone as I normally do. What a treat! Your videos are always excellent but this is possibly your best yet. Even my wife was marvelling at your story telling (I kept telling her "this is one of the best channels on RUclips"). Thanks once again for your efforts. Always appreciated.
Those damn wives never appreciate good space videos!
Who else said yessssssss when the notification popped up.
Samee
This is by far the best Solar System documentary I've ever seen, and I've seen very many.
Your writing, research and presentation are perfect.
I never caught one this early. So excited every time he posts a new video and I’m sure I’ll enjoy this one. Thanks again for all the wonderful work you put together.
Same I literally got so excited
I saw his notification on his discord and rushed to only see that already many people felt the same xD
Same here 🤓 looking forward to an enlightening 35 mins
Yes he's back baby!!!!!!!
Absolutely stunning video and explanation!
I love how you consider the planets as "siblings." Really brings to light how much you're into astronomy, and your focus on the planets. Ever since I started watching you, I have also begun to consider the planets as siblings, because from a certain extent it's true.
A lot of scientists sometimes call Jupiter, Earth's big brother because of it's immense gravity that it uses to shepherd stray asteroids and comets.
I like to call Earth and Venus, "the Terrestrial Twins," while I call Uranus and Neptune, "the Ice Twins."
Now THIS is quality!
I know there’s a lot of specialists who watch and critique your stuff, but as a fascinated novice I find your content, your visuals and your presentational style pretty much the best out there. Please never stop - it genuinely blows my mind that I get this for free.
Man, imagine if Mars and Venus were both still just like Earth.
Whether they had their own native plants/animals or were uncolonized edens, it'd be incredible.
I'm glad they're currently dead barren worlds. As such in colonising them we have to focus on growing our own eden worlds.
If they were life bearing at a similar age, I can imagine that we'd end up with 3 trashed worlds right now.
Also if they had life, intelligent life, we would probably either b at war with 1/both, b conquered by 1/both or have ourselves conquered 1 or both of them. We r a violent, greedy species. Its sadly logical 2 think that other intelligent life would also b this way.
scariest part is no planets can harbor water/life at the same time. meaning if venus and mars still had water, it would be millions of years apart. Imagine intelligent life on both planets where they are millions of years ahead of us..
@@Nemenis If they were then they'd likely have colonised the Earth long ago. It's very unlikely any of the three planets would have unrelated life on them. Whatever planet had life first would seed the others with life.
However its looking very unlikely that Venus ever had oceans. More recent models show it would have been far too hot from the beginning to ever have liquid water since all the water would remain as vapour. Its slow rotation made this even worse. So basically it looks like Venus never had any oceans and couldn't have.
Me when everyone here is wrong:
Sometimes I need to watch your videos more then one time to recognize how good they are.
All of the commonly accepted scientific background is present. No speculation and no fishing in the nebula. This is science, presented in a poetic way but not leaving any of its content behind. It's great.
I have to say I’m impressed how the quality of these episodes has improved. Well done. One of the best channels on you tube
These right here are my FAVORITE type of videos you've made. "The birth of the universe" and "the death of the universe" videos feel like genuine movies, and this delivers that same energy even better! PT.2 is gonna be amazing
I have finally found THE video I want to show my dad to explain to him how the solar system was formed. Thankyou, absolutely brilliant.
Fantastic video as always. This channel is truly a gem.
I legitimately love the late night video community. It's so wholesome. Little comments of appreciation and joy.
Like with trey the explainer. Ben g Thomas, SEA, fall of civilizations, amd a few more. The wholesome level is so nourishing. Thank you SEA very much for your content
I can’t imagine the time that went into this. This is amazing. Thank you.
I hope it’s worth while to keep these coming. I know I’m not alone in looking forward to more content.
This is just so perfectly narrated! Added to favourites: check!
This has become one of my favorite channels. Incredible work!
Man, this is truly astonishing. The level of literally every part of your videos is immaculate. The science, the graphics, the sound, the narration. I'm so glad you're making these, becasue nobody else does it quite like you and I love you for it! THE best science channel in history.
New Logo is sweet!!
thankuuuu :)
Nice profile pic.
For 34 minutes I was in this narrator's world.
Dude this was incredible! The animations, the info everything came together so beautifully. Reminds me of a BBC series called "The Planets." Anyway, learned a lot from this video so thank you!
These videos are so soothing for me. Thank you for always doing such a wonderful job with the channel. Such a great little pocket of the universe ❤
Thank you for these remarkable programs.
SEA programs should be mandatory throughout the entire school system.
I have been having the worst of days....until seeing this notification. Thank you SEA.
YES new SEA upload. Btw I like the new logo, but I'm gonna miss your old one
Appreciate the effort very much🖤
SEA and melodysheep are my go to’s for late night RUclips viewing. Nothing better than well produced, 30 minute plus cosmology videos. And this one does not disappoint, they just keep getting better.
This channel is simply superb. Filled to the brim with value. From the information presented, to the clear, soothing voice, to the visuals. Oh my word, the visuals! Wactching your videos makes me feel like I really am on a journey through this immensely beautiful universe that you so kindly present to us. I wish you all the best and I deeply thank you for this amazing content. By far one of my favorite channels.
Been waiting for this! Thank you for another amazing video! - the month wait is excruciating, but the quality more than makes up for it!

Was just thinking about your videos today homie, thanks for the drop
"Planets like: Earth, Venus, Mars and Pluto."
Pluto will always be a planet in our hearts
Don't forget Ceres, Vesta, Pallas, and Hygiea. They were planets too before getting demoted like Pluto.
I needed this.... thank you
These never cease to fascinate the hell out of me and I love it.

finally a new video from sea to get stoned and fall asleep too
Thanks!
If every world "leader" saw this. Humble yourself, or the universe will do it for you. Amazing vid. You have a great skill in explaining the complex!
I see a notification from SEA, I click.
This is insane.... How do you NOT have more subs? The definition of underrated. Simply brilliant, great job!
Nice logo, can't wait to start the documentary
“what happened when our solar system was born”
*ad for facebook comes up*
Never liked a video so fast in my entire life - this guy deserves way more than a million subs.
THANK YOU VERY MUCH~ watching it now
The universe is big but not as big as my love for the universe
good, it's why we exist in it
Love is emotion but universe is the existence
people believe what they want, say what they want and it all differs but we can all say, at the scale and complexity of the universe, "well...goddamn"
The universe isn't the largest thing in existence. When my ex mother-in-law sat around the universe, she sat AROUND the universe.
Silly question, but do you guys watch this sober or on something? Just asking as I'm not sure in which way I like it more :))
Brilliant work SEA! It's facinating how you're composing everything, how much everything means for us, how big the world is, yet so few people appreciate it.
I'm watching this high 😂
Watch high bro
Don't do drugs. Or do em excessively.
bro you saved my science grade!! This is single-handely the most complex video about the formation of our solar system. I think I know more than my teacher now!
OMG. I so needed this! Thank you for posting again! I absolutely adore your content. Have already watched your entire channel a few times.
we are seeing SEA's channel logo evolving into The Onion
It's so limited to look at the world in a way that a creationist would. The truth of science is so much more beautiful.
Howso?
@@Andromedon777 Because if your research brings you to a conclusion that seems counterintuitive, you will probably shrug your shoulders and say 'oh well, the creator didn't intend for us to understand it'.
@@booklover6753 Not so.
Science is a tool to look at the universe God created. Science is not an enemy, it's literally obtaining data from the very universe God made. Those who proclaim Christ but fight against science don't really make sense. Scripture is supreme over all, but nevertheless, they don't contradict
@@Andromedon777 As the astronomers at the VATT once said, 'the bible is a book of metaphor, not intended to be taken as a literal interpretation of reality'.
@@booklover6753 Okay... And God said in the bible He exists literally.
Can't express enough how happy I was to see another video from you. I hope this channel grows. You truly deserve it ❤
You all make my whole nights! GREAT CONTENT🥲
Deez nuts
Every notif I get from this channel I drop whatever I’m doing to watch, videos are so good! Also love the new logo
I saw you posted a new video and I made an audible "whoop". I can't convey how much I love your channel in a RUclips comment. Just know you made my day. Thank you for all the work you do, it's just as incredible as the subjects you cover. ❤️
SEA! So glad to see a new video and hear your voice! I'll be teaching sciences in about 4 months and am planning on using your videos as pieces in lesson plans. I adore everything about the pieces and projects you present to us, and thank you a ton🙏 😊 keep it up! I'll be following and sharing every time and chance I get. THANK YOU!

WOW! Absolutely fantastic! What a great video. A real step up in graphics, with the same attention to detail. Beautifully delivered, as always. Thank you. Keep them coming. My absolute favourite channel.
Was literally asking myself today when will the next SEA video come out? So grateful!
Been a minute since I’ve commented but your content is genuinely fantastic. Voiceover, editing, music, I don’t even care about space but your videos are still able to hold my attention for half hours at a time. Im glad you found a pocket on RUclips that fits you better
Man, I really appreciate the work you put into your Videos. Thank you for that!
I cannot stress how well your story telling is! Regardless of astro physics being one of the topics I show the most interest in I find myself always going back to your channel watching every video of yours since both the topic and your style are just amazing!! Thx for your content :)
My absolute FAVORITE space channel on the tube. Another extremely well done video man. I really appreciate it and love it guy. Thank you for these.....it scratches my itch to know.
Your content is a gem on RUclips. It's super relaxing to listen to and very well explained. Keep it up
Fast becoming my favourite channel on RUclips! Keep up the great work!
You are really my favorite space-related channel on youtube💜 Much respect
I recently found this channel, and I have to say it is truly amazing. The presentation, information, and topics are just so enticing. Also, as I read comments, I found out other people experienced what I did, which is that these videos are great at putting someone to sleep. NOT because they are boring, in fact this is some of the most interesting stuff I've watched, but becuase just the overall tone is so nice and relaxing. When first watching, I found myself both drawn in, and very sleepy the first time I watched. Gotta say, this channel is truly amazing, and I'm very happy I found it. Space is so beautiful and mysterious
Love the new logo! Always excited to see when you post. Keep up the great videos man 👍🏻
