Using 20MPH is a good way to compare ebikes as well. When people do a wide open throttle range test on the grizzly and compare to other ebikes I'm just thinking "yeah, but you are going at speeds most of those ebikes can't even get to and higher speeds will deplete the batter faster." so 20 makes total sense to me. I think 50 miles of range with aftermarket tires is very good, like you said in ideal conditions, even throttle only, it would do better, but 50 is plenty anyway. I just got some shinko 244s which I'm guessing will take a bit more range, but not worried about it.
Awesome test Mike. I agree…the ideal range in my opinion is somewhere around 40-50 miles similar to your test. I did my own range test on the Grizzly and i came up to about 48 miles until the battery indicator starts blinking. I rode under conditions that is more kinda realistic and normal riding with an average speed between 20-34 mph with a little elevation and turning on the nitrous button as u call it, i mean the front motor and turn it off until i get to the top of the hill. Im 150 lbs and probably another 5 lbs of extra weight that i carry for my essentials. I did a 58 mile round trip from my house to Baltimore and stop at an EV charging station at 48 miles for an hour of charging while getting me some snacks at a 711 store and able to get home.
Hey Tai! Seems like we had similar range, but considering you were also going over 20 mph is amazing to get 48! We’re about the same weight so this so very reassuring 😎 🤘🏽🐾❤️
Video brings back great memories. Lead me to getting a motorcycle license, but I still ride my Grizzy, and still love my Grizzy!🤘 Zero issues with the bike after a year of riding
Good test, and I agree with Blperoc that 20mph keeps it comparable with more standard bikes. Usually the controller will taper the power off and finally cut power to the motor, but keep powering the lights for safety reasons. Cutoff for 52v batteries is usually 42 volts, but I talked directly with one manufacturer that set their hard cutoff point (where the battery shuts OFF) at 39 volts. I did it once, just to test at their request, and they actually changed the advertised capacity from that test. Miss riding with you and the kid, hope to make it out there someday.
Hey Alt! We miss home and all our friends !! Absolutely look forward to riding with you again soon! I should be visiting home this spring or summer!! What happened with the 39V cutoff? 🤘🏽🐾❤️
@@RustyRoads I kept going, and when it hit 39 volts, the battery turned off. I gave them my total power usage from full to turn off, and they decided to change the specs because the battery obviously didn't have the power it was supposed to. It would be awesome to see you and the kid again.
Hey Simms! Looking to ride with your fuzzy kid too! Love it!! Theres a linktree in our descriptions with links to all our gear. I believe I labeled those as "kid carrier" and "Rustys doggles" Cheers! 🐾🤘🏽⚡️
Splash and rain proof but not waterproof. We’re based out of Seattle so we absolutely build them to withstand the elements 🤘🏽 Besides, what kinda grizzly is scared of some water 😆🐾 Cheers!
Was thinking about getting an e bike and came across your channel. I also live in this area. I go on the SNR as well. How do you like your grizzly? For the money do you recommend it or something else?
Hey! I definitely plan on joining some SNRs! What do you ride now? The Grizz is hard to beat at this price. No E-bike under $4500 can touch it IMO. Anything above it tends to be a dirt bike, lack pedals etc. So many options though!!
MoTow rack! Lightest, smallest and fastest loading dual Ebike rack period! Link to it, and all our gear in the linktree in the description. Thanks for watching!
Question, you ever have issues with the cops riding the Grizzly? I noticed most states in the USA limit the E bikes to 750 watts law. I'm thinking of getting one myself. Thanks again if you can help me out with some info. Awesome channel btw
Hi Phantom! Thanks for the kind words🙏🏽 The interactions I’ve had with police have all been positive, and usually due to interest etc. of course I’m a responsible citizen so I tell them the top speed is 28 mph, and I mostly pedal lol Get one you won’t regret it! Any e-bike is fun tbh but these are exceptional 👌🏽
Definitely would recommend the grizzly, with the extended saddle option. With the all wheel drive and foot pegs, you and your wife would be good to go all day!! 🐾🤘🏽⚡️
Being a trail ebike rider,,, I'd think twice about carrying your dog on rides... It only takes once..he'd have no chance.. recently I had a raccoon come out of nowhere on a roadside I hit him at 20+ mph,. Didn't wreck but I was lucky,,,it rolled the racoon.. But he shook it off,, I barley saved it from a big crash.. I'd hate to see your dog become a chest protector skidding across pavement or a trai Or a traffic accident... youtube ain't worth risking your pup.. smarten up. Good vid of the rides though... Leave the dog in a safe place,,then ride and film.... The risk is too great... These ebikes roll fast...so does traffic and unforseen wildlife..

I’m thinking and rethinking about to buy the Grizzly I’m not sure still 😕
I’m glad you said ‘this isn’t a GoPro advertisement’ with regard to safety and sensibility.
Glad your back hope to see more content
What a beautiful trail! Makes me really excited for Spring!
Gorgeous!! Can't wait to see your drone shots this year!!
Hey Michael, looks like you and Rusty had a spectacular ride! Glad I could catch up with you two again.
So much fun Tom!!
Glad to hear from you again!
Cheers !! 🍻
good to see you out again. . thanks for the video on range test of the grizzly.
Thanks for watching!!
Be careful out there by yourself. And ride rusty ride
I'm more interested in how many miles in cold weather, but this will def be good for summer food deliveries
Expect a 35-40% drop in range when it’s cold out!!
Ride safe
Video brings back great memories.
Lead me to getting a motorcycle license, but I still ride my Grizzy, and still love my Grizzy!🤘

Hell yeah bro, ride safe!! 🤘🏽⚡🐾
Trails look amazing Michael 😮 Looks like Rusty is enjoying them as well 😁🐶
Yo JB!! So many amazing places to ride out here! But then again that applies to all 50 states 🎯😎
Ride safe brother 🙏🏽

Great Video… Always entertaining 🙌💯💪
I'm thinking of getting the X52 Step thru for my first eBike ... However I'm not to keen on that seat ... any suggestions?
Hi RR, quick question, do you have links for Rusty's carrier harness & goggles ? Thanks
Hey Simms! Looking to ride with your fuzzy kid too! Love it!!

That was great! Thanks a lot!
Thanks for watching Robert !

Do you think the aftermarket tires effected the range?? and what kind of tires are they? lol
They’re Vee tire Huntsman 👍🏽. I do t believe they affected range much considering they’re lightweight and have an all terrain tread
Woww!!!.. nice e bike I like that e bike😅🤣😂🥰
🐍 My clock says 2 minutes. 60 second timer is not counting.
Awe look at the cool dog where u get that vest from.
He’s the coolest! Link to his harness in the description 🤘🏽
Can you share the link where you got the dog backpack and goggles and the ebike helmet?

There’s nothing that I can find where I can buy the tires. Can you please send me the direct link I will really appreciate you.
It’s the second thing on the list so probably east to over look.
Cmd+F is the shortcut to search within those type of files btw 🤜🏽🤛🏽

Totally awesome I appreciate you You did an awesome review on the bike.
@@christianjuan4531 you’re welcome and thanks!
the throttle on my grizzly needs adjusting. Anyone know how?
Can you tell me where to find those tires , I hate the factory ones there too noisy.
Check the gear link in the description 🐾
How far are you from Wenatchee Washington? My brother lived there for a while but now he settled to KC.
Hey not too far from there! How's your brother like KC compared to the Seattle area?
I'm actually moving back to MD in November!

(Maybe you can do a video on them too).
Yep they are Huntsman. Fantastic tires!!
That would be a great video!

So , is the Grizzly worth the extra Thousand dollars over the X-Class ?
If you live in a hilly area then absolutely yes.
Also the acceleration with dual motors is clutch when you need it 🤘🏽
Are you making your dog stand the entire trip?
He’s in a harness where he hangs very comfortably, so no 🐾
Cheers!
Love your videos. Which bike is good for tandem riding. I want to take my wife to the beach. I don’t want to use my car.

Old people on foot with packs, .They don't need no stinking electric bikes !
😅😅
Too bad these bikes only cater to the wealthy. For 5k I'd rather just get a nice vtx. They do 130mph. Much faster grocery trips 😊
I hear that! Although these are $3300 not 5k
Ride safe! 🤘🏽
Still though..3k... lotta money...I have a 250w older ebike...gets the job done...18mph max speed... 600.00 6 years ago..lol. peace ✌️
