Thanks! You don't really get a sporty tone from the standard exhaust. The problem here in Spain is that if you go non-standard on anything like that you get problems at the inspection.
Cette video m'a été très utile et m'a mis en confiance pour remplacer moi même l'échappement de ma Barchetta qui est de l'année 2005. Merci pour cette video et toutes les autres, félicitations pour ces explications simple et précises.
You made that a bit more difficult. I take the whole exhaust off at the flexi pipe junction. Then you can get access to it all better. Likewise that last hanger, its easier just to take that one 13mm bolt off and the bracket holding the rubber and hanger just stays attached to the exhaust. Hope you have a good seal there as if not it will fail the emmissions test again.
You're probably right but it was the first time I'd done anything like that and was bit worried about taking the whole exhaust off so just carried on. I nearly took the bracket off where the rear hangar is but there are some plastic fixings there in the bracket and I was worried about breaking them and not being able to replace them. Fingers crossed the seal is OK, time will tell!
@@pauliecabs those plastic bungs are not a prob. Just for ur info i remove my exhaust every year before the itv, and put on the new cat convertor. Then the day after the itv put the old one back on.
@@arnietwo11 Thanks. I'll remember that for next time! A nicer sounding exhaust is on my list but you know how fussy they are here about non-standard things!
Hi I think there is an eBay seller in Poland that sells them now. Mine came from eBay Germany. Be careful as the hangers on mine were not in the correct position and I had to bend them.
Car looks amazing. And thanks to you, I now know I have a custom exhaust on my car. Time to go look for an original one. Thanks again Paulie!

Merçi beaucoup!!!
well done man, fingers cross for your ITV
Thanks! Mine are crossed too! I think I need to Barchetta's, one to drive and one to work on lol
This will be perfect, space is the problem. Here in Germany often comes scrapping Barchettas for less than 1k
@@javierlucio339 That's a shame. They would be worth saving for that price.
Car looks great. Good progress you made.
Thanks. The exhaust was a lot of hard work! I've condensed 2 days into about 12 minutes of video😉
Well done mate👏👏that's was a hard job to do.shes ready for the test now😉
Yes, that's everything done. Fingers crossed!
Has anyone fitted an aftermarket / sports exhaust to their Barchetta? Which one did you install? How does it sound?

@@pauliecabs i had a straight throoo sports exhaust on it for about 5 years here before they decided it wasnt standard and failed me on it.
The car looks very nice! Do you have any advice for changing the interior door opener?
No sorry mine is ok but I do have a problem with the lock on the driver's side. I will look at this in a future episode
Hello, where have you buy this?

@@pauliecabs do you have a link, thanks?
There seems to be a few. Go to eBay and search for fiat barchetta 1.8 exhaust. They seem to have different prices
