  • Now who doesn't love the pomp and pageantry of festivals? Well it's not any different in Ghana when it comes to the annual Damba festival. It brings people aligned to the traditional kingdom together to reflect on their origin and how to confront social challenges.
It's considered the most widely celebrated in the northern part of the country. DW's Maxwell Suuk joined the climax of the celebration in Nalerigu
where it's a time for people to come together, put on their their dancing shoes, and celebrate their ancient line of royalty. It stretches all the way back to the Naa Gbewa, the famous past king who oral history says, was the founder of five kingdoms in West Africa.

Beautiful. I LOVE THE HISTORIES OF ALL African centuries old. From my readings and research, the cultures from there traveled for centuries long ago. The last findings are in Georgia Russsia, beginning in the 80's these bones, skulls travel back between 1.7 & 1.8 millions of years ago. I love archeology , it's awe inspiring. Also much love to Ghani and their culture and dance.❤️🙏🌄
