Yes I have the same problem with my 2.0 hardware. Service also said not to use a thumb drive in USB slot, that it could corrupt other parts of the vehicle. Mostly when using reverse camera and pin to drive glitches occur on screen. After a hard reset no glitches have occurred.
Can you test out covering the parking sensors with tape or sticker on 2.0 vs 2.5.. summon feature not working properly with just 1 front sensor covered. Makes me suspect 2.0 hardware could not full self drive in parking lot when front end or rear is dirty.
My 2.5 Model S does have some of those weird empty files. The first time I tried it that's all it had, but now it has actual files as well as the blank ones in different folders. Not sure why it does that, but at least it does work.
The camera feeds get prefiltered to be easier processable by the neural net. That's why they are greyish with some colors on AP2. The cameras itself are the same - they are HDR capable.
Some parasite just crashed into my 2.0HW late 2016 Model S. Car parked outside office, when perp came in fast, hit car from behind - reversed and peeled off. Now I'm stuck paying deductible and having to wait to get car fixed. I was always under impression that HW2.0, although having sentry, did not record. So I did not have a memory stick in USB port. =(
All the cameras are RGB cameras and not computer dependent. The radar is not going to be upgraded. You will just have slightly shorter visibility with that radar. It will still be able to "drive itself", which is all that's promised.
A very informative video, thanks so much. We have a 2019 model S Ludicrous plus Raven and I wonder if our version records and saves the recording in Sentry mode and also records and saves whilst driving. I'm going to check this out or maybe someone can tell me. T. from the UK. (Yes we drive on the wrong side of the road : )
I’m still getting my camera crashing with the old x on the icon. I thought it was fixed as it lasted more than a month. But it crashed again and I need to reformat the chip again. I don’t know if it’s a chip issue or the car still messing it up. Anybody else having this problem ?
Brian - I just tested a correctly formatted USB drive in my Model X AP 2.0 with firmware update from yesterday of 2019.16.2 73d3fc and I can confirm it still doesn't write sentry mode video to the USB stick, still getting corrupt error files. Hope they fix this very soon!
@@youwish3566The only way a AP 2 car will be able to record is if you have the FSD package and eligible to the HW3 FSD computer later in the fall/winter. Currently the AP2 hardware isn't able to do what HW2.5 does. SAD for now thou..... Sold my AP2 car two weeks ago and waiting for the Tesla truck. Cheers
"And I'm not talking about triggering a millennial or anything, I'm talking about the car." *2 seconds later* *probably triggers a millennial* "THIS IS A NICE CAR MAN WOAAAHHHH IT'S RECORDING ME BRO"
Older model s with 2.0 hardware lol... pre ap owner here.. that is old.. 2.0 is new af!! All we get now new language support with each update.. can't wait to get Mongolian language support with 2020.39.8 update 😂😂
What if you jack up your tesla and hit drive then you accelerate.... Will it let you drive all jacked up haha.... Also what does it sound like stationary 🤔🔊
That's why I got rid of my Ford c-max, could not update anything with out buying a newer model. Love my m3

Thanks for covering that because I have a model s with 2.0.
how do you get the Tesla to send the message to your Apple Watch?
You can do on Android as well
What happens if you just open door from outside with window down...??
the cameras should be fine. they may be limiting the cameras to B&W for bitrate reasons with the older hardware. will be interesting to see though.

Hey look! I think it’s Brian from i1Tesla!
Where is the usb in the model s?
What sensors/ cameras does AP 2.5 have that AP 2 doesnt
They have the same amount but 2.0 cameras are black and white and the front radar has less range
Radar range may be an enhancement but not clear if is that necessary for FSDC.

Does it play whatever music u want
Just a note: when I click the fob key, my X90D reacts to the signal at a distance of up to 350 feet.
Did Tesla get back to you about the uploaded footage?
Thanks, it saved me a phone call to Tesla!
Any update? Also..can u please share your tire tire and wheel size specs. Looks nice. Thx
You have to upgrade your screen cpu if you want it. Its like between 1500-2000 upgrade.
Great video as always.

Did you ever figure out how to get the video recorded to a USB on AP 2.0 cars?
You can't. It is only fake on the 2.0 cars
Do you find that Sentry Mode has quite a few false triggers still. We are running 2019.12.1.2 hopefully we see a big overall improvement with 2019.16
I saw the message there were 112 sentry mode occurrences on the screen. Seems something is not quite right but it's still an exciting feature.

Is thAt different music
Same song
Shredder metal rock version of Toccata in d minor usually attributed to J S Bach 1685-1750. Also can play more traditional pipe organ version.
Fantastic!
my dad left me in his tesla and this happened, scariest moment of my life
Are you going to have that video of an auto opening model S frunk? Or is it off the menu cause it didn’t turn out possible?
I am working on it. I have 3 different struts coming this week. The S is hard because the hood is much bigger. It is coming though
Bless you.
thank you for de video loved it
😍 Great test thx 4 sharing!

Any news? Because I have ModelS AP1 and want to move to MX AP2 and if it cant record I will probably not get it :/

Good Video but in my opinion, the clapping inside the car is pointless.

You clean up nice :)

Yo

What if you make a sugar glass window and replace your real window with it will sentry mode detect glass forced entry? 🤔🤔😂😂🔊🔊
TESLA = SUPER CAR LOVE IT!!! I LOVE THE MUSIC🎶🔊 WAY COOL😎😎😎😎😎😍
