Dashain Dahi & Doja Jatra Vlog/Tauthali/Part 4

Khadga jatra is celebrated on the day of Ekadasi marking the victory of Tripura Sundari Mai over demons.Six lingos(doja) representing differnt communities are decorated with clothes,bangles,coins & ornaments.People dance along with doja on the premise of temple of Tripura Sundari Mai & perform different other rituals.
Dahi jatra is a unique culture celebrated only in Tauthali.With a belief of having a never ending supply of milk products and praying for better life, locals offer dahi to Tripura Sundari Mai as a prasad anually on this day.People participating in the festival celebrate it by playing ,chasing & splashing dahi into each others &visitors on their way to the temple.People from different clubs and gaupalika collect money from different sources and bring dahi for this big day due to lack of dahi on houses these days.Dahi is also distributed among visitors afterwards as a prasad of Tripura Sundari Mai.And thank you my friend aaman for the drone footage.#tauthali #jatra #dahi #newariculture #sindhupalchowk #jatravlogs #newari #nepal
