At the 8:00 mark: I think this is where you lose people. You’re giving information that’s relevant for you and a portfolio… but what about the guys that are doing 5-10 drafts.
I don’t think people want to hear that, anyone, literally anyone can say draft 100 teams and diversify.
They want something, “what’s the bullish case on X player. Or in this range from rounds 5-7 on underdog I like these 4-5 players and I’m grabbing as many of them as I can.”
Have some conviction to give us those guys that you’ll have 30% of.
Love the show, but sometimes it just feels like you guys aren’t really saying anything.

What in Gods name is he babbling about?
Make sure you have Thielen in your lineup the 1st couple weeks of the season, because he may not have any value by week 10 or whatever?
    What a bunch of nonsense.
    How bout try this?
Put Thielen in if he's your best option.
Dont put Thielen in if he isnt.
    Mind blowing,, I know.
Stop trying to be so deep

I don't have a word for it yet but at the 27:00 mark it sounds like Ray is talking about the opposite of hopium. Need a play on words with "fear".

There's a lot of great minds in the dynasty space, but it's hard to beat you guys' insight.

Couldnt agree more with Ray about movement amongst the top 15-20 wr.
Scott doesnt make any sense when he says that if u dont show something within your first 3 yrs then you’ll be stuck with the DJ Moore label.
If Tank and Pickens come out with top 15 seasons then they will have done that within their first 3 yrs. Their stock would be ascending and they would be looked at as top 10 guys on dynasty.

When you diversify your portfolio so evenly like that, what you're really doing is guarantee you miss on far too many of them.

Honestly that hasn't been my experience. I diversify but I still try to weight players I like a bit more heavily. Any misses are more than made up for by all the hits. Misses can also be corrected by timely trades and waiver wire adds. I haven't had a bad year since expanding my portfolio. I've been winning around 6-7 championships a year for the last three years and finishing in the money in another 6-7.

@cygone Well if you diversify by like grabbing your favorite 6 out of 10 receivers in a range instead of all 10, then you might hit 4 out of 6 instead of 4 out of 10 like you would by grabbing them all how he was describing. On the flip side if you know what you're doing and just take your top 4, maybe you can hit on 3 out of 4 in that range, which is a higher hit rate and will lead to more success. I would say in general, the less skilled of a player you are, the more you should spread out and it will help, but the more skilled of a player you are, the less you should spread out. Have conviction. You will be right more than your opponents.

Adam Theilan is a great example… take it to the extreme. If he is my WR8 in a start 12 (10 team) where I can start up to 6 WR at once (or up to 5 RBs) do i just drop him instead and pick up Tyrone Tracy (any RB on a 53)?
