Fingers crossed you win this one would make an interesting video Mark. I'd be looking at 8-10 days (10 to be on safe side to allow for any issues that inevitably will come up) and would be looking around 16-18k depending on spec etc If you want to price it fora 4th spark just give me a shout 😉
That’s the small boarding house from the on-site guide!! Required plenty houses during a renovation but never a lived in one with furniture and carpet’s, done plenty small works in a live house but man, where do you start? I like the challenge of fishing cables without destroying the place, great as long as the customer understands and is willing to pay for that level of works. At work I am only commercial/industrial, so ceiling tiles and surface all the way. Good to hear other peoples ideas on it too. Am thinking about 20k for a proper job with quality accessories??
What a house! If you weren't already familiar with the voids and structural layout, what else would you do or add (if anything)? By that, I mean time or cost to further investigate things like floor/stairwell voids or loft spaces etc. Very much looking forward to seeing this one unfold and if you need an extra pair of hands, give me a shout!
15:00 How much, well down Southern Counties way I'd be pricing 15k, possibly slightly lower or higher just dependant on the particular building and the moving of furniture.
Nah thanks, I'll stick to pulling in 11kV cables, much simpler! Do you add in cost for quoting and then going back to mark everything out? With the travel for those days, that must have cost you a fair few hours, unless you can fit in other customers in the same day.
If you watch my last video it's all part of the regular overheads in operating the business. So while the client doesn't pay for the quote over the course of our work flow they all get paid for. Never ever work for free. Ever lol.
I have one of my cusine he can do it with only one Mate for no more than 7 days he working Always in the places like this house he working from 9-10:00pm he can charge between 14.000£ to 17.000£
We do these often. Some gangs such as homerewire up in Scotland would turn it over twice as fast as us 🤭. 3 sparks and a plasterer over 10 days is about right for me. Well I know it is because like I say done it before lol.

Haha. Yeah we do all sectors. Each has plus and minuses. These are often fun tbh!
Looking forward to the progress.👍

You get a feel for most places over time. Make use of supercam and such to have a good poke around lol
Nice one for this, looking forward to the comments!

Seems people agree with you. My quote is in so all will be revelled this end soon. But I've heard great minds think alike.
So no video on quote on the job?
I'm in central London and if that was in my area I would say 2 good guys and a labourer to help out about 3 weeks work and 30 k...... 👍
That house has the exact same layup as a house i done work on, in berkhamstead Hertfordshire. Must of been the same builders way back when 😂
Lots of these places are all over the east coast up here. Scarily similar sometimes.
Is the house classed as HMO?possible AFDD's?
Afdds will be going in regardless on the sockets 💪

Yes they are. The beauty here is its holiday let so won't be lived in as such. But still a hassle.
