This is live television. If you want a chorus behind you, bring them. You want strings, they're back there. No auto-tune, no studio mixing, no nothing. LIVE!
"steal my girl" LOL, that was cute! I remember when the Righteous Brothers were played on the radio on a regular basis. They were amazing even for that time period.
Summer Time sung by Bobby Hatfield...he's the short blond one. When I heard him sing that, my jaw dropped onto the floor and stayed there the whole time. Heavenly!
Bobby Hatfield is the short guy & Bill Medley is the tall guy next to him. This was a tv premiere on a program in 1964. No autotune, just pure sound. R.I.P. Bobby Hatfield
Bill is 82 now and Bobby passed away in his Hotel room not long before a show. He had a heart attack. They did mostly duo work but they both did singles and separate albums. They didn’t now how to sing a bad song and their music never went away. You just didn’t find it until now. Listen to them sing, You’ll Never Walk Alone. I love the song but. I really love the ending.
My guys! I was in high school when they came out in 1964. They were so awesome. Their music lives on, and so do their voices. No auto tunes, just pure raw talent. RIP Bobby! ❤️
I love the Righteous Brothers their vocals together fit so well Bobby is high tone and Bill is the baritone vocal but together they are just magical and have made great music through their years until Bobby passed. Love your reaction. You might want to check out Soul and inspiration by them I love all their music this one and Soul and inspiration are my favorites.
You've got to see the Righteous Brothers singing "The Night Time is the Right Time" live with a ladies trio called the Blossoms! Also try "Turn on Your Love Light" live as well.
Back in the days when they were young and didn't really have a name for themselves, they performed somewhere and on their way out some guy shouted "that was righteous, brother!"and from that moment they became the Righteous Brothers!!! 🎵🎼🎶🎤🎸🎹🥁🔥🔥🔥
You now MUST react to the Righteous Bros “I just want to make love” Downright Southern soul and blues there’s a reason there labeled as a blue-eyed soul
Check out the Carpenters...Karen Carpenter's voice is like butter and she's one of the best drummers ever. 1968 Live 'Dancing in the Street, Close to You (one she'son drums), Rainy Days and Mondays (one she's on drums) Superstar, Solitaire, Drum Solo, and more
Back in the day this was called Blue Eyed Soul when I was in High School. If you dug Motown, Sam Cooke, Isley Brothers, Curtis Mayfield and the Impressions and others as we did in my neighborhood, then we knew these guys were also Fantastic. The 1960's were the best years for Soul Music. Fact!
I thought I'd suggest another artist from the same time period as the "Righteous Brothers", if interested. "Janis Joplin - Ball & Chain - Monterey Pop" -- Janis Joplin was the "quintessential" rock star. She was a pioneer in the rock n roll industry. She fused elements of blues, rock, soul and psychedelic influences in her powerfully soulful vocals and performances...simply magical stuff, bro 💙🎸
1)Righteous Brothers (Bobby solo) Summertime and both singing 2)You’ll Never Walk Alone and 3) Soul and Inspiration 4) Simon & Garfunkel- Bridge Over Troubled Waters 5) The Animals- House of the Rising Sun 6) Elvis Presley- If I Can Dream (the one with him in the white suit- 1st time- it was a tribute to Martin Luther King and Bobby Kennedy shortly after they were assassinated.) These are very common reaction videos but for good reason. Two more… Pentatonix Hallelujah and Mary Did You Know Promise, you won’t be disappointed and you’ll get tons of views and probably a lot of subscribers as well. 😊 I’m a subscriber now. 😊
Love the classics too! Lately, i've been listening a lot to Simon and Garfunkel's Sound of Silence, Bread's It Don't Matter To Me/Everything I Own and Don McLean's American Pie. Hope you'd also try to listen to their songs if you haven't yet 😊👍
I was a senior in HS when this came out, the 60s were much cooler than today. Please react to "The Weight" by The Band and The Staple Singers, live, also, "Don't Let Me Down" by The Beatles, LIVE. Thank you, new sub.
Here's one you'll enjoy reacting to.....Try one called... Talk It Over by Grayson Hugh. I liked your reaction to The Righteous Brothers, the music I grew up listening to, you got a thumbs up.
He should hear Henry Lee Summer "Wish I had a girl" Jude Cole "Baby, it's tonight" Curtis Stigers "I never saw a miracle" other soul infused pop/rock greats like Grayson Hugh
Black singers developed the gospel style of singing in churches and Elvis and others, like the Righteous brothers, heard it and said, "Wow! We love that", and sang that style too. That is what I've heard and understood over the years. White singers were not the first to sing the soul/ gospel style. But as they say, "imitation is the highest form of flattery". And that is why it is called "blue- eyed soul".
Hi from Canada I just saw this so I hit on it I've seen them reacted to before you are really good at this I wish you would start it with this because most people don't know their white because I think music has no colour and I subscribe to you because I think you're really good at this and I will watch the one you did before this God bless stay safe
They got their name when they were playing a gig in the South and when they finished a guy in the audience stood up and said "brothers, that was righteous. "
Have you ever thought about some of the mega stars from the 40s and 50s? Nat "King" Cole, Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Ricky Nelson, The Everly Brothers (real brothers!) a tune or two by Luciano Pavarotti?
Sorry, me again. USA for Africa (1985) it’s loaded with Legends. Harry Belafonte suggested it. Michael Jackson and Lionel Ritchie wrote it. Quincy Jones directed it. Most of the artists came directly from an awards show, so that’s how they were all able to come together, all at the same time. There is a “making of the music video” as well if you want to know how it all came to be. But first, please react to the video. 😊
THAT was the most requested and the most played song on the radio of the twentieth century, performed by the greatest male duo of all-time!
It was and it is still one of my all time favorite
And Cher was singing with background group
Their music style is known as "blue-eyed soul", & these are 2 of the finest male voices in modern music. Thanks for your reaction.
These guys were unbelievable ! Blue eyed soul ! This song was played on the radio more than any other song in the 20th century !! Read that again !!!
This is live television. If you want a chorus behind you, bring them. You want strings, they're back there. No auto-tune, no studio mixing, no nothing. LIVE!
They were on TV but they were lipsinging to their record being played on the show.
Nothing but pure unadulterated talent. That was required in those days
Just a trivia answer: a young Cher was one of the background singers.
"steal my girl" LOL, that was cute! I remember when the Righteous Brothers were played on the radio on a regular basis. They were amazing even for that time period.

Nothing like Blue Eyed Soul. The Righteous Brothers were the kings! Extraordinary! Absolute Legends!
Spectacular performance by the Brothers. I was watching this when it was originally broadcast and it still blows me away. Love your reaction.

Over 8,000,000 times played on American radio in just 35 years, blowing away every song since they started playing music on the radio.
As an English lad who loves music we need this type of music back ,music is being destroyed, keep up the channel mate❤
If you don't have The Righteous Brothers in your date night playlist, you don't have a date night playlist.
Next from them should be Soul and Inspiration - it will blow you away.
Realize both are good individually but together, that’s what makes great music. Glad you liked it. I grew up with this music.
You've got to see the Righteous Brothers singing "The Night Time is the Right Time" live with a ladies trio called the Blossoms! Also try "Turn on Your Love Light" live as well.

Listen to "Summertime" by Bobby Hatfield. You'll really love it!
It's one of the greatest performances of all time IMO
Listen to rock and roll heaven, it's a different decade for these guys, they still pull it off, enjoy 🙂
You now MUST react to the Righteous Bros “I just want to make love” Downright Southern soul and blues there’s a reason there labeled as a blue-eyed soul
Great reaction! Definitely a date night song! ❤

Maravillada como los jóvenes aprensian la música de otros tiempos .mis tiempos
Absolutely fantastic.. someone said Cher was one of the backup singers!!
I was in the 1st grade when this came out. And I loved it.
Also a great band and song is URGENT by Foreigner.......Oooooof it's good!!!! ☺ has the BEST sax solo ever!!!
This song is the most listened to song on tv and radio in the twentieth century .

You are My Soul and My Hearts Inspiration is great too!
I'd love to see someone react to Jeannie C. Riley's "Edna Burgoo" . Fabulous reaction to the brothers here!
Thanks for the heart, it is always appreciated!

Amazing voices, Elvis does a great version of this song too.
Classic song that never gets old❤
Play you are my soul and inspiration
Classic 🎶
Another song Bobby nailed was Summertime. I can’t find it recorded anywhere. But at least I have it on RUclips.

These guys wouldn’t *just* steal your girl - they’s steal your mom and grandma too !
A little known fact. You may have heard of one of the women in the background. She goes by Cher 😊
Brilliant 😊
Great reaction young sir.
They are the Blue Eyed Soul Brothers
You have no choice but to dig it
A very young Cher was one of the backup singers you see toward the end of the video ..
Here's one! I Surrender by Katrina Valarde and Jessica Villarubin. They kill this song. It's a Celine Dion cover
Try the Rightous Brothers live on the Ed Sullivan Show singing You’ll Never Walk Alone…it’s a mic drop moment.
Some suggestions...
Frankie Vali & The Four Seasons.."Cant Take My Eyes Off You"1967 & "Beggin" 1967😊❤🎼love from The UK❤
IF I CAN DREAM, ELVIS PRESLEY, 1968 Special (MLK and Bobby Kennedy Tribute)
Johnny and Edgar Winter do a good cover, I understand that people always like the original version but still worth a listen,

Nat "King" Cole, Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Ricky Nelson, The Everly Brothers (real brothers!) a tune or two by Luciano Pavarotti?
Pavarotti and Eric Clampton sing Holy Mother -- it's great, and Eric does some incredible 🎸 guitar work. His
"Tears" will melt your heart
Sarah Vaughn, Ella Fitzgerald. Two of the greatest EVER!!
I grew up down south. I remember the white radio stations wouldn't play this when it first came out, because they sounded black

Panty Dropping 101: Sing like the Righteous Brothers.
Any Questions?
Live
You want some soul listen to Bobby Hatfield do summertime live
actually, it is good these aren't songs of your generation, because look at what you have to discover!
One of them is still alive playboy!! Lol
Thank you
Back in the day, this was known as a panty dropper.
Bro, if you got ear enough to know that you ain't singing in key, that means all you lack is technique and technique can be taught.
I have to ask, do you always start when saying something with "bro" or "I ain't lyin'"?
What difference does it make? He sounds fine.
