    My personal theory is that (in the G1 cartoon continuity) Primus did create the Transformer race, but the Quintessons took over and destroyed all records of Primus and the thirteen original Primes, so future generations would never know who their true creator is. And on a semi-related note, the alien Primacron merely created Unicron's "Monster Planet" body, after the latter lost his original body when he was defeated by Primus some time before Cybertron's creation.

    In the original G1 series and the Aligned continuity, the “creators” are the Quintessons, an alien race who invaded Cybertron during prehistoric times. In reality, the creator of the Transformers was Primus, a god-like entity and archenemy of Unicron. When the Quintessons invaded Cybertron, they enslaved the Transformers and brainwashed the population into believing that they were the creators when it in fact was Primus. That’s how they became the “creators”. Now, I'm not saying it will be exactly the same in the Michael Bay films but I'm guessing the backstory would be similar.

      I was thinking the quintessons created one race of Transformers while Primus created the others
      The quintisonion tfs landed on Cybertron after they broke free from their creators and they found the natives.()
      the two species tried to coexist but in the end it created another civil war.
      You can even to say this explains why some are used for mass shifting well others are used for vehicular purposes
      The two species were similar but different.

    Between Primus and the Quintessons being the creators of the Transformers, I prefer Primus, mainly because the Quintessons make the Transfomers feel like generic sci-fi robots while Primus (as well as Unicron and the Thirteen) make the Transformers feel like more than just simply transforming robots and gives them a more distinct identity from other fictional machine races. I guess you could say this approach makes them "More than meets the eye" indeed.
    That being said, I do love your idea towards the end that combines the two origins of the Transformers.

    VERY nice reconciling. I think it works out perfectly. Although, as a kid, I never had a problem with Primacon creating Unicron. I thought it was mind blowing to have a creature so small creating something so big an powerful. Like Frankenstein and his monster times a BILLION. Your reconciliation of the differing origins is a lot like the way I thought it out. But I think yours is better and a bit more streamlined. I always thought the Quintessons were just some unrelated race who conquered Cybertron in the past and replicated the Cybertronians. But your idea that they were sent by Unicron and rebelled fits much better. It just makes sense that these inorganic races would be tied together in some way.

    Your take on the origin of the Transformers makes a lot of good sense and is worth following, which gives me hope towards not only how the motion-picture / cinematic franchise will recover from the decline of "The Last Knight" but also, how well things will / can progress to finally introducing the world into how and when Hot Rod evolves into Rodimus, and so that somehow the killing-off of Optimus can take place allowing for the emerge of Unicron, only for Rodimus to step up and defeat him so that fans can re-connect with the original vibe of "The Transformers" and be totally happy again.
    I say this because this is one of the things which made the "Transformers the Movie" animated cartoon pop Soo HarD and LoUUDD, which validates it as one of the best movies of all time.
    But before Unicron is destroyed, it is very essential for the motion picture to give us a back story or film that fully explains Unicron and Primus just to nourish everyone's understanding of how the "bad versus good" factors of it all, estsblishes the foundation of the Transformers world / community.
    And I say this because by now, everyone has a fair understanding of how the war was started between / among the movies: T-1 and T-3. And with T-4: Age of Extinction, pretty-much serving fans and viewers the nudge or hint of or about Unicron, towards the end, same as T-5 did, it's about perfect time to abandon the re-manufactured beginnings of the earlier Movies start working towards bringing closure to all of this.
    We are ready to meet Unicron and Primus in a carefully and substantively structured way which connects all of these movies together.
    ......and please bring back Sam. 👍🍃👍

    My favourite interpretation is that Primus created the Quintessons first, but became angry when they took a small bit of his power to make Vector Sigma, so Primus created the Matrix and gave it to one of the primes so they could use it to fight for their freedom. The first decepticons were autobots who betrayed the matrix bearer after finding technology left behind by the Quintessons, which they used to gain flight.

  • @j.scottvanlester4584
    @j.scottvanlester4584 2 года назад +1

    That's about what I figured as well. I assumed a mix between the two origins. Primus created the original primes to fight Unicron, then the Quintessons showed up and tried to mass produce them as slaves. Presuming Primus then granted them all with sparks, leading to their rebellion. Considering we bicker about our origins still it makes sense there'd be some confusion for the bots on their origins as well.

Solus Prime was the first female cybertronian, one of the original 13 and all females are based off her schematic, being how the universe has funky interests i can imagine female Cybertronians sold as entertainment or pleasure goods.

    I don't think Quintasons are or should be minion of unicron. It doesn't fit with unicron's MO, and why can't there be other aliens races.
    The Quntasons enslaving and using the 13 as templates is a fantastic ideas.
    The rest has pretty much been my fanconon for years.
    I always liked the idea that unicron tricked Primacron into building his body. cthulhu-dark-whipsers in his dream kind of thing.
    And Tornedron looked stupid. But i wish he was remembered more often. Mixing the two main canon this would mean Primacron build a new god.

    • @RodimusPrimal
      @RodimusPrimal  7 лет назад +5

      Thanks. The idea for the Quintessons being creations of Unicron came directly from the 3H Botcon comics from Fun Publications. They were trying to undo the ending to Beast Machines as well. I think Unicron's MO was consuming all in his patch and destroying his immortal enemy Primus. He did create Galvatron, Cyclonus, and the Sweeps so creating heralds is something he seems to do.

    • @mechanova
      @mechanova 7 лет назад +2

      Yes, in the original TF movie the Quints where going to be unicrons minions and that was cut. and the 3h and fun pub brought that back. But i dislike 3h and fun pub. It`s kind of like official fan fics?

    • @RodimusPrimal
      @RodimusPrimal  7 лет назад

      That's an interesting was to look at it. Take this into consideration too, the event in 2015 called "The Shrouding" ended multiversal singularities making each universe it's own moving forward. So while 3H and Fun Pub did bring that back, we can ignore a lot of what they presented. But since it didn't originate with them, I do think the Quintessons being creations of Unicron an interesting point that makes sense canon wise. It also adds an element to why they are always evil.

    • @RodimusPrimal
      @RodimusPrimal  7 лет назад +3

      Who knows. Maybe after some time the Quintessons grew so lazy that they began to only use the Cybertronians as personal slaves.

      Seriously? The way I recall it from the original comics, again I read it 20 years ago implied that the quintessons were from another planet and happened to find themselves inadvertantly working to Unicron's design unwittingly.

  • @kelliefay7625

    I like your theory, it is close to what I was thinking. I was thinking that Primus slept in Cybertron, the Quintesons came there and built their factories, and then Primus gave life to both the consumer goods and the military hardware. I think I can squeeze the rest into my idea of cannon. I should go back to writing.

    I think you did an excellent job, particularly in relating the Quintessons to Unicron. I always felt it was hubris to think that Primus alone would create "children" and Unicron could or would not. Especially with the comment Tarantulas made in the Beast Wars that the Tripredacus Council had other origins. I always thought the remark meant they were descendants of Galvatron, Scourge, and Cyclonus who, I guess, could be considered "Children of Unicron." If you haven't already done so, perhaps that might be exploring in another video.

    Thanks for your insights. I have set myself a goal of writing some Transformers fanfic, and this is exactly the sort of stuff I am craving.
    [blabbering]
    What I'm planning to do is create a streamlined branch of lore that is based heavily on several key themes that all have a duality to them:
    balance/imbalance, fraction/restoration, good/evil, infinity/unity. Transformers lore seems to be based around these principles and cyclic transitions (or transformations) between their extremes in an almost fractal way; we begin with a single entity creating Unicron and Primus, then these two create groups of smaller transformers, who in turn split into factions, etc.
    I want to take that concept further and push the transitions in both directions, so that factions may sometimes unite together, and since this is Transformers we can be quite literal and even have transformers combining together to share a body. Taking it to the extreme we could even have a planet-sized combiner transformer! That's a crazy idea I just threw in but it's the sort of thing that might come out of this approach.
    [/blabbering]
    Here are my thoughts for the very beginnings of an origin story… (I am not an expert in TF lore yet so some of what I say could be misworded or flatout contradictory)
    In the beginning there was Anterion: the spirit of all that is, was and will be.
    And all that was, in the time before time, was Anterion.
    And all was still and without form.
    This was the state of the protoverse, how it always was and always would be.
    And Anterion drifted through a spaceless space in a timeless time until, in an instant, she awoke!
    And as her conscience came into being, so too came time and space into being; each growing from an infinitesimal dot to span infinity.
    The multiverse was born but still it was void and lifeless.
    It is here, in the first moments of time, that Anterion realised she could no longer maintain order and balance over all things in her present form.
    And so, she divided herself into two sub-entities, one bearing the power of creation and the other bearing the power of destruction; she named them Primus and Unicron.
    Together, Primus and Unicron would maintain order and balance over all things throughout the multiverse.
    For gigayears the universe remained in perfect harmony, but over time the two halves of Anterion grew distant.
    Their separation created a rift between the forces of creation and destruction.
    Primus and Unicron began to compete rather than cooperate, each driven by their own singular and opposing instinct.
    Now began a period of much chaos. Trillions of stars and planetary systems were created and destroyed in a frenzy of energy.
    This conflict raged on for billions of years before Primus ultimately emerged the victor.
    Primus' ploy was to create an entity that itself possessed the power of creation; Primus had created life.
    Unicron saw this as nothing but a dirty trick, and in his rage his spirit darkened.
    Unicron no longer sought to destroy in order to restore balance, nor even to compete for supremacy with Primus; he was now determined to destroy all life and eliminate Primus once and for all…

    • @stumbling
      @stumbling 7 лет назад +1

      Unicron had been vanquished but he was not eliminated; as the embodiment of the force of destruction, Unicron could only be destroyed by himself. Primus knew this, and he knew that this meant their conflict had a single resolution: Unicron would defeat him, and once Unicron had destroyed all life and matter in the multiverse, in a final act of crazed destruction, Unicron would destroy himself; and thus the two halves of Anterion would be restored and she would slumber once more.
      Primus swore to postpone this inevitability for as long as possible. He turned to his proudest creation, life, to assist him in suppressing Unicron. He created sentient beings and taught them how to fight against Unicron's destruction, but each time he enlightened a being, the spectre of Unicron lurked nearby and corrupted his teachings. Unicron set these creatures against each other and so thwarted Primus' plan.
      Primus roamed the galaxies pondering his fate and that of the multiverse, until he declared that his only option was to create a new form of life, one that was animated by his own essence; this way it could not be corrupted by Unicron. And so, Primus created a body for himself, the body of a planet to harbour this new life, and he called the planet, Cybertron.
      Primus created twelve machine-like lifeforms that he imbued with his spirit, who he entrusted with the governance of Cybertron. He did so that he could devote all his energy to Cybertron, imprisoning himself within its core, and restricting his only contact with the outside world to a supercomputer named Vector Sigma, from which the twelve could extract Primus' essence to give life to each of their kind as they were created in the factories of Cybertron.
      Observing from another dimension, Unicron smiled and mocked his brother's naivety. For although these robotic life-forms were immune to Unicron's corruption, they were not immune to their own. As the division of Anterion had caused instability in the beginning, now echoed the consequences of the division of Primus. The Cybertronians began to question their purpose as individuals, and challenge the authority of the twelve. Cybertron descended into chaos and civil war…
      ***
      Okay I will have to break from the narrative style here because we're getting into canon stuff I don't know much about.
      The civil war I talk about at the end there is actually a prior civil war to the one that is canon.
      This is also why I say Primus created the first twelve Cybertronians and not thirteen, because Prima had not yet been created. (I'm not sure whether I want them to be Transformers yet or not.)
      Prima and the Matrix of Leadership were created by Primus in an effort to end the civil war and unite all Cybertronians under a single banner. This plan was successful to an extent but for some radicals it served only to push them further into extremism. They began to worship Unicron, and after being subdued were exhiled from Cybertron. The Unicron cultists then set about constructing a body for Unicron to inhabit; a body that would match Cybertron in scale but also transform into a humanoid to reep maximum destruction.
      These Unicron cultists could possibly be Quintessons, I'm not sure, will have to see if that is viable or not.
