    I would like to see the process a little more, the gear you pack and why, how you find and scout locations, docment the technical stuff so we can learn, testing the snow for avalanche risk, other angles of you skiing! Awesome stuff so far!

      Thanks, that's some really good feedback, I'll try to touch on more of that in the next one! These 3 spots are known to be easy low angle spots in the local community, good for early season and storm skiing.
      My apologies for the narrow cam angle, I'm going to use a wider one from now on and maybe make Reece film me a bit too haha
      Thanks for watching!

    Love your videos! I would just angle the camera just a bit lower to show your skis for those pov shots

      Great advice, I was thinking the same thing. I'm going to use a wider lense setting on the next video. My thoughts were that the narrower frame would reduce "the goprop effect" but after watching back I'm def going with a wider lense from now on!

    Sooo.. What’s the comparison of Bent Chet’s 120 and Draco’s? How was maneuvering in the tech part at the end / or would you imagine tree skiing in the Draco’s would be like. We all prefer the open spines, but often the weather++ don’t allow for that 🙈
    Looking to get one pair for both hiking and lift acces, but always off piste backcountry. I’m not the most jibby skier though..
    Thx!

      I have skied the Draco's in tight trees now and they are definitely much harder to pivot through tight spaces than the Bent Chets as expected. I also have the 184 Bents and the 189 Dracos so that plays a part. The Dracos are super sick for charging. Dracos are my charging ski and the bents are my tight terrain ski.

    Loving the Content so far. Im looking forward to more. Definitely wouldn't change a thing. What skins are you using?

    • @Subalpinism
      @Subalpinism  Год назад +1

      Thanks! I'm using the Pilus that come precut for the black crows and the Black Diamond Ascension (full nylon) for the bent chets. I prefer the full nylon because they grip super well in the coastal snow.

      Monday thanks! I have the Bent Chet's with G3 skins. l don't love the grip on them. Good to hear I might go with the accessions. Thanks !

      @@Branz79 No problem! The ascensions are no bullshit skins for sure, who needs glide! Uphill only!

      One edge slightly dulled but they emerged pretty unscathed haha. Gonna wait a minute before bringin those bad boys out again

      @Subalpinism a real deal big mountain twin tip replacing the Ferox. The cool factor is off the charts. Whats the binding and skin selection?

    • @Subalpinism
      @Subalpinism  Год назад +1

      ATK Freeraider 15 Evos and the precut Pilus skins (Pomoca) that clip into the tip cutout. They worked pretty well! The bindings feel very well made. Bit of snow creep on the skin tips. My favorite skins are the Black Diamond Ascension in full Nylon, they have so much grip. I uploaded a gear video last week going through a lot of my gear!

    • @scottpratico1315
      @scottpratico1315 Год назад

      @Subalpinism Bling binding. Befitting the ski. I'm actually going from Pomoca to BD Ascension Nylon for my Navis Freebirds. They're my technical terrain skis so I figured max grip is where to focus. Glide doesn't count for much on exposed skintrack.

      Good decision for sure, the Ascensions are workhorses!
