Where would you add for a perfect Morning in Tokyo?!
If you get up really early, like 6-7am, you can go to sensoji before things open to beat the crowds. As a bonus, I always see a bunch of people walking their adorable dogs around then :)
@@jakeconnelly2441 agree jake!! Mornings are key 🔑
I love this video Nathan. You did such a good job with the editing and filming. Hope to see you again next time you’re in Japan.
Thanks for the positivity and support. I’m happy with the edit considering I wasn’t sure where it was going to go when I filmed it! Looking forward to catching up again in the summer
Thank you 🙏🏽 Nathan …for these “hidden gems” in TOKYO. Great 👍🏽 job. I definitely appreciate your effort in finding these more quiet areas. Thanks for sharing all of this. 🙇🏻♀️🙏🏽🇺🇸
My pleasure! I hope I can continue to share more in the future :)
A video that is packed full of wonderful suggestions for things to do that the average tourists never see or do. Then you get to do these things with the alluring Anming of the Oriental Pearl Channel, how can a mere human not be super envious. I will definately be attended your little known tea house and the river boat trip. Things I've never heard about when I was Tokyo, and therefore, didn't even consider doing. As always your video's never disappoint.
Thanks for always being encouraging and positive in all your comments. This video not only serves as a great recommendation of less know activities but for me also a memory of a fantastic morning with a new friend :). Hopefully you will be able to soon visit and let me know how it goes
Never been to Hamarikyu gardens, it turns out. Bookmarked.
Whoa! What!! The garden with the Tokyo skyline makes for epic pics!
wow definitely some interesting spots! Thanks for sharing your little secrets 😉
You bet! Always love to share with the community :)
Thank you Nathan! Another super video! I’m definitely going to these places when I visit next month 😊
Please do and let me know what you thought!
I love the "water bus" to Asakusa. Also went to the observation deck there in October, barely anyone there and great views.
Surprising isn’t it? I love these quiet gems out of sight in then middle of touristy locations!
The tea garden is a nice "hidden" area, will visit it on my upcoming trip
Glad to point you to one more thing to see
Great video Nathan 🇯🇵
Like the video. Will go to the observation deck in Oct . Thanks for the tips.
Glad it was helpful!
What a wonderful itinerary Matcha at Hamarikyu...boat to Asakusa...view area 8th floor ...Monjyayaki at tatami restaurant...and near to Eki...Great plan...we will do this one soon next time we return to Tokyo... thanks 🥷 🐒 ❤
It’s a lovely itinerary but the tea house is currently under renovation hopefully it will
Open soon
Good tips for my upcoming trip, I'll keep the places in mind, thanks! 😊
Hope you have a fantastic trip!
Goodmorning Tokyo❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I loved this video Nathan. Thanks for sharing your "hidden gems" of Japan with us. I'm goingn to try to find this tea house!! Arigatoo!
Please do! The tea house is really chill and a great escape from the buzzing outer market of Tsukiji!
There is a teahouse in Sankeien Gardens in the Naka Ward south of Yokohama. They do a tea ceremony demonstration for the whole room as you drink your tea. We do it as often as we can.
Thanks for the tip!!
Another awesome video packed with information! Keep up the good work Nathan 🌸♥️⛩
Thanks so much!
Thanks for the great video. I will be staying in Tokyo and will take your advice! I found out about the Observation centre through instagram already but I didn't know about all the other places you visited! So nice to learn about.
I'm glad you got some ideas! You might want to check out some of my other videos too!
Great video Nathan! Love the tea house what a gem ❤ 🍵
It really is quite special
As a subscriber to both your channels I have to say I really love the videos you two do together.
Thanks so much Nova, means a lot .. it’s also great to have a memory of these places for me and glad it can be useful and interesting for you to watch! Hopefully more in the future :)
Thanks. These were some good advices.
Hope you get to experience some of them. Please let me know what it was like!
Those gardens are so beautiful! And that strawberry mochi would of been full into my mouth 😂🇯🇵🇯🇵
Hehe all in I see

Thank you Nathan for another great video of Japan.🇯🇵. I am still waiting for my first trip to Japan, so Iam so exited to watch you videos!
When is your trip?! Hope you make it to some of these spots!
I don’t now get but a hope for Asakusa.
Thanks for the video. We plan to be in tokyo monday and tsukiji and asakusa was our go to places for our last day. Thank so much
Now you have the additional Hamarikyu garden too! Enjoy your trip and let us know how it goes!
@@NinjaMonkeyguy arigato. Do you have to make a reservation for that place to enjoy tea?
@@matthewchristian1591 nope! I’ve never had to anyway!
Great video dude! I never knew about the observatory around Asakusa! I definitely could have gotten some killer photos!
If it wasn't for Oriental Pearl I wouldn't have known either! Ive seen photos from that view but I never knew where from!!
@@NinjaMonkeyguy That's awesome! Thanks, Pearl!
I love matcha and i will visit this place 😊. Thank you for the recommendation
Aww hope you like it
Nathan - Your videos continue to improve! 👍 Really appreciate the tips on the tea house and the Sumida River boat. And I’m an early bird, so will hopefully be able to beat the worst of the crowds. Going to Japan at the end of May, so added these to my list! Thank you so much - God bless! 🍓🌸😁
Yay! Let me know how they go for you!
Thanks for the tips Nathan! I did not know there was an observatory in Asakusa 😮 Must check it out in May 😄
May!! you always ahead of me :) I hope one day we are there at the same time :)
🇯🇵nice video Nathan, packed a lot of info in . We’re off to a cherry blossom picnic today but it’s raining so maybe tricky. Had loads of good weather too during our stay.
Aha! Hope the Hanami works out for you :) Glad the video was informative
I'm so in love with Japan ♥ my fingers crossed 🤞to visit there next year in November
You can do it!!
The first time we went to Asakusa, it was for some sort of detective game, it was a lot of fun. Afterwards, we went to a Chinese restaurant where we had one of the best meals we've had in years!
Actually you are right, Chinese food in Japan is great!
Ohh, your channel is definitely growing. You worked hard and deserve it. Good job
Not sure ... kinda slow but hey im happy with the community and I like making these videos :)
Great stuff Ninja 🐒 you went to 2 that I go to - Hamarikyu Tea House , I've been there on the boat from Asakusa and the viewing platform and one place I can recommend for a view is the ladies bathroom up the top of the Asahi Beer Tower Restaurant in Asakusa, I couldn't go to the restaurant because it was too early so 😅 I found an alternative
Hahaha ok hopefully the gents toilet will be good too!
Tsukiji sounds touristy, but it’s actually awesome for breakfast or an early lunch. 1,000% agree.
I really mean it too when I say that area for a morning is pretty cool and the Hamarikyu garden is usually quiet and really is a good chill out spot for a green tea and traditional sweet. Asakusa is great because of the water bus (the water is is awesome for a different view of Tokyo)
For anyone curious: Only the commercial side of the Tsukiji market moved. All of the street food and shops are still at the old location. I don't think the public is even allowed in Toyosu.
This is why I recommend this area :)
Fantastic video! What time do you advice getting to Sensoji Temple to have it almost empty and with the shops open?
Usually they open around 9.. so I’d suggest maybe 8-8:30 to get some footage and photos with it mostly quieter and then heading to the shops
You ate monjayaki in the same restaurant we (family) went to !!
Wow!!! Cool .. it was soo good!
Not a secret no more, here I come!
hahaha.. happy to share :)
🍓
Super useful video ninja monkey, thanks 🇯🇵
Happy to help! Hopefully you can get some ideas for your trip IN A FEW DAYS TIME!

For morning I would always go to Yasaka Ginza, the bakery here is really good and I enjoy seeing all the cats,... hmmm after the Great Kanto Earthquake and Pacific War bombings, Asakusa seems utterly artificial to me ... also, um, Kinryū-zan Sensō-ji is Tendai Buddhist so just a little different for me, but I love Kannon here. It's a shame the earthquake happened,... the first Tokyo skyscraper, Asakusa Twelve Stories was here ... Akarenga in Yokohama survived but I guess the building was too tall to last.
I covered yasaka ginza in a past livestream but am yet to highlight it on a feature video! The bakery is great I agree
@@NinjaMonkeyguy The cats here are really nice I think ... maybe you'll be interested in the nearby cemetery? ... if you're interested in Japan people and history there is so much to explore there ... also,... in the early morning, lots of old people walk here with their dogs so you talk to them !
Hey 🤗
How early do you in the moning? Going to Tokyo in july with my son (17y) 😊
I think it all depends .. the first few jet lagged days I might head out as early as 6am but things might still be closed .. I think after 8am is good usually, however if you’re gonna travel to Kyoto and visit fushimi inari shrine then I’d recommend you try to get there even as early as 6 or 7 am to beat the crowds!
Most people come to japan as tourists and want to see all the famous locations. I don’t think she gets that. Not sure why she is so angry!
Angry? I can assure you she was not angry!
