this vid came at the perfect time! i’m a bengali brought up in Australia and visiting Kolkata atm, looking for more south asian books to read ~ i enjoyed God of Small Things and am picking up The Ministry of Utmost Happiness next! have you read any of Arundhati Roy’s non-fiction? have put The Palace of Illusions on my TBR :)
@ i have! i read the collection Unaccustomed Earth, i remember enjoying it but at the same time it hasn’t stuck with me? i think i should try her other book that won the Pulitzer prize
