It's so weird hearing Ebon sounding so... calm and polite haha
IKR? Even in “Andor” his character sounded like he was from Chicago a little 😆
He's wearing a suit now
He’s got purpose now ❤
"Look alive Lizaards!"
His voice isn't even remotely the same and that surprised me
I can’t get over Richie’s episode. So beautiful, so much growth, such joy, sadness, frustration and happiness crammed into one episode.
I couldn't agree more!
My favourite episode.
I cried
It was absolutely beautiful. I loved it and saw his character completely different after that.
and the fridge scene at the end of the last episode completely broke my heart
Forks was the best episode, really showed a different side of Richie.
A great hero’s journey/origin story
Ebon is the mvp!
I’m stuck between that and Marcus’ episode
I was feeling like Richie the day I watched that episode and then I had such a big smile at the end of it😭😭
That was suuuch a good episode
@@zakattak393 it's honestly my fav episode of the series so far, and I say this as a viewer who HATED Richie all of Season 1 and low-key took pleasure in his downfall and failures.
What the writers and Ebon managed to do in Season 2, especially "Forks," was nothing short of awe-inspiring and miraculous, because I like Richie more than Carmine now and am thoroughly invested in Richie's success😅😌
Seeing Ebon speak so quietly and thoughtfully here makes his acting as Richie seem even more astonishing
It's incrediable, he's nothing like Richie at all.
The writing in this show is so efficient. How’d I go from hating Richie to him being my favorite character in 2 seasons?
Same, I think you realize all people have struggles and are the way they are for some sort of reason. Most of them were grieving last season and having a total power struggle over the restaurant they've known for years and years. But now they had a common goal and a reason to work hard. I'm glad he's wearing suits lol
Not always. Mostly it's been brilliant but some episodes in this season have had really poor writing - there's some examples in this video actually, Carmy & Claire's conversation here is terribly written: 1:15
Lol shut up, there's always someone to nitpick. Don't be that person!
Ayo is such a unique actor, it never feels like watching someone actually act with her, it's just so natural and non-attention seeking.
not at all.. shes what ruins the bear for me and for many
@@MrTchupamspeak for yourself weirdo
@@MrTchupam I agree. I found her character annoying and totally unbelievable in that position.
@@MrTchupamthat would make her a good actor then if she can portray that
I find her fascinating. She's impossible to read and her speech patterns and facial expressions don't mirror what she's saying, all the time.
Ebon's acting was so good, like on that level where you really forget that it's just a character. Like I really believe I could bump into Richie somewhere in Chicago
How does Ayo have chemistry with EVERYONE?! 😅
It helps that "Ayo" means Joy.
On the show in character, I totally agree. One of my favorite scenes is when she and T finally began to see eye to eye in the kitchen and then when Syd asked her to be her sous. I genuinely smiled at T's reaction. Heck, I even loved her antagonistic relationship with Richie's character and started to wonder if one episode they would fall into a classic soap trope and end a heated argument with a passionate kiss😂😆 in some kind of weird release of pent-up sexual frustration (obviously, Sydney is into Carmie and I'm suspecting Richie is crushing Sugar just a little bit).
Here though, Ebon Moss-Bachrach seemed a bit closed off/aloof most of the interview and only seemed to loosen up towards the end. At least, that's the vibe I feel like he was giving off (almost like he'd rather be anywhere but there at the moment).
She does. lol. I ship her with so many people on the show
@@EchoJTUMBLR BE GONE! 😷 Sugar is MARRIED and Richie has always been a family friend/tag-along brother. They have zero chemistry. Not to mention Sydney is like 25-27 and Richie is 45 with a child. Sydney herself is looking for a MOTHER (who I i assume will be Tina) so its utterly ridiculous to think this young woman who is trying to start her career and find herself would entangle herself with a middle aged man who still wants his ex wife and is a single dad. Crushing on the characters doesnt make it a sensible or favorable plot on paper.
@THEDOORIZCLOSED Chemistry between actors doesn't have to be sexual or romantic.
I haven't seen character growth like Richie's depicted so brilliantly since Zuko in the Avatar series
Excellent comparison. I went from kind of hating Richie in the first season to appreciating him much more later. Much like Zuko.
Jaime Lannister from GoT
Steve from Stranger Things, although that was done a lot swifter than all the previous mentioned characters.
Ayo is going to be a big star! She is so good!
Ayo is what makes the show for me! Such nonchalant will treat you real quick but keep it kind energy!
Where can I see more interviews, I'm surviving off of crumbs 😂❤
They did a panel. Look up “The bear Gold derby panel”. That’s the only one I’ve seen with most of the cast together
it'll be a while bc of the strike 😔 hopefully once awards season rolls around they'll go on another promotion/interview circuit
@@aquilathegreat95 just want to say thank you so much for this!!
@@iwantmybed3090 🙏🏾❤️
this show is a stunner, the writing is A+ & the cast! INCREDIBLE. Especially Ebon, seeing him fully flex like he does on The Bear is a pure delight. Ayo, too. It's just wonderful
Ebon's performance in season 2 was absolutely stellar. Several times I found myself crying, either out of grief, joy or relief for Richie.
“I wear suits now” great episode!!!
& he looks so good in his suits 🫶🏿❤
They’re beautiful
The Christmas dinner episode was frustrating to watch in all of the right ways- but it made me realize Carmys issues and why he may have chose to be a chef even though he's leaving one chaotic environment (family & home) just to enter another chaotic environment. One is obviously passion for food but I think it is his way of regaining control with what he is familiar with. Shouting, rushing, fast paced, messy, but in this case he is on top and in charge and at the end of the day he can look around and see the happy customers and then turn that negativity into a positive outcome.
I could watch Ayo talk all day.
ayo looks so stunning!! great to see them :"))
I got instant anxiety just looking at these two in the thumbnail. I was like "Come on guys don't fight!" 😂😂😂Omg
😂
our parents ☺️
The Bear has been a great sleeper hit for this year, great show
i absolutely love them
It was my favorite episode. Richie was given the purpose he so desperately craved and he rose to the occasion.
The episode could be used as an orientation video for new hires at any company. The managers at that restaurant have so much enthusiasm while performing their jobs which trickles down to their staff. All perform their jobs joyously. It makes for a wonderful experience for their guests.
This is just proof that Ebon is one of the greatest of all time.
it's impossible not to love this show from the get go, such a beautifully crafted show where the characters (and by extension the audience) are treated with so much respect and humanity. Thank you to all the cast and crew
The writing is amazing for this show. Miles and miles better than anything I’ve watched for a while. It’s impossible to pick out 1 actor from the show as a stand out performer because it’s so well written
Big fan! I love hearing their behind the scenes perspectives. The show's amazing ❤
This is the first BAFTA interview I’ve seen with Ebon and Ayo. The Bear is the most addictive show I’ve ever seen.
Acting is 🔥 in this show.
I love them both so much
A whole interview and no f words. It’s a miracle!!
Richie is one of my favorites in the show. Loved his character
Love both of the characters!! Job well done 👍🏽 looking forward to any other works you sign up for~
Richies character development is one of the greatest I’ve ever seen. I just love this show 🤌🏾❤️
Amazing sophomore year! Bravo! Just loved it.
This shows is AMAZING!
I hated Richie at first, then i started to understand him, and now i love the character. Ebon is such an amazing actor, Ayo too and everyone in this show.
It seems you don't watch characters, you watch real people, this show deserves every award (plus what an incredible soundtrack...Refuse, Radiohead, etc.).
The show that's rocking the restaurants, dinners, and
every home kitchen on the planet.
Outstanding Chef!
This series is so entertaining and cast is magnificent. Jeremy and Ebon are so deserving of any awards they’re nominated for in The Bear.
I LOVE this show sooooooo much.... restaurant brat here. ....and yeah, I miss it
queen Ayo!
There should be a “The Bear” pop up restaurant
Came here because of a silver surfer rumour, what amazing casting that would be if true. Excellent in the Bear but seeing him actually speak raised my hopes even more.
Just finished watching season 1! Enjoy watching these 2 characters!
Ive been crushing on Ebon ever since Mona Lisa Smile
my favourite show at the moment.
Omg Forks was amazing, i cant get enough of it. The quality of this whole show and how they tie things together blows my mind. I love it cant wait for another season!
I'm slightly drunk and emotional so I'm gonna watch season one and two and love all the tears so eff you. Try it.
hell yes, I am in the same space. I hope this was good.
Its wild and wicked that some ppl ship their characters together.
Great show! Anxious for the filming to start on Season 3 😅
they're filming right now
One of the best shows on TV with Ramy.
I love that girl
For all you Brits this show is a love letter to the city and the people of Chicago! Yes there is a portion of the city and Gary, Indiana that is like the murder Capitol of the Midwest, and that needs to be addressed. However, the rest of the city is wonderful and the food is amazing!
The Christmas episode was the best
So riveting & incredible!!
I love Ebon in The Lake House (Keanu/Sandra movie) but I ✨LOVE✨ him evenmore in The Bear. Such polar opposite characters.
You can tell they're still figuring out the interview part of their job 😂
Is the piano in the background playing the bad lip readings song “Seagulls (stop it now)”
Ayo: appetizers😄
Ebon: grief
He is rumored to be The Thing in the upcoming Fantastic 4 movie
🐻
Ayo hearing Richie NOT yelling sounds so weird 😂
His body position sitting next to hers is interesting
From a Nigerian dad and a Beijing mother You are an island girl you better know how to cook With African parent and a Island parent✊🏿🇹🇹🇻🇨❤❤🇳🇬🇧🇧
Cousin❤
wow
Idk why but I was waiting for British accents 😂😂😂
I like Desi so much it's unreal.
Wait??? if its a shared universe now and its 1960s...where the heck were they when Thanos attacked.
I mean Reeds the smartest man and tony doesnt call him saying, "Hey Reed were doing time trave, you wanna get in on this?"
I'm kinda fascinated by Ayo Edebiri. She seems to be either operating on a different plane to the rest of the world or she's not totally connected. I don't mean that to be rude, it's just that, for instance, her facial expressions and eyes don't seem to mirror what she's saying and there are strange pauses in her speech. If she was a poker player, I'd find her very hard to read.
Both are like the opposite in the show😂
This is weird. It’s like they are on quaaludes😂
"Matty Matheson also seems to live in a more positive, healthy..." Ebon trailing off on the word 'healthy' as he thought of Matheson's body shape not exactly being the picture of good health lol
at least Matty is clean fam!
what is wrong with richie...
Hope that Carmen and Claire will solve their issues in the 3rd season. They are perfect for each other.
Yeah she’s a good one but Carm isn’t ready
@@gusdoesstuff4194 let’s see how it goes.. enjoy.
No
Great pedro pasxale phoning in another role.
Benn Grimm gonna sound castrated.
Johnny storm doesn't look old enough to drive.
sue looks like she's one martini away from a real house wives season.
Who did Ayo's makeup? She looks orange ☹️
shes so bad in "the bear" really.. its like one less star on imdb just because of her character unfortunately. its really annoying, but fortunately the rest of the cast is almost perfect
Weird
She’s real, adorable, shy and awkward and brilliant. I love her and her character!
Totally disagree. Her character is crucial
You’re crazy. She is so incredibly natural - I feel like I’ve known people just like her character. I love her!
hater mentality
*COUSIIIIIIN* 🤌
Most awkward interview of 2023. Or ever 🤷🏻♂️
