The best early game position possible is the one where you can keep a close eye on the mini map! Watch the potatos on your team like a hawk. If they push, support them. If they turn away or stop, hide, or turn as well.
These positioning tips help when there is no CV around. The moment there is a CV in the match, all positioning goes down the drain unless you're a DD that has managed to stay undetected by the effing planes.
This seemed more of a gameplay critique episode than positioning
I was expecting more maps and literally where to go in what type of ship you are driving
I love your videos, this is meant as an explanation of just what I thought it was going to see
Do not think I am trying to bust your balls
Keep on keeping on Bro :)
Fair enough
The general principles apply to any map. They did a good job explaining them, though agree it was more about strategy than positioning.
Although this is a great thing to see! I just have one thing I can think off: this is division cruiser positioning. Lots of people go off alone in matchups and don't have a DD smoking up and spotting for them...
I had the same thought. It would have been perfect if that was more of a Positioning Video in which they show general Tips for People that play Single. Depending on a map and ship class that you use... I also think that most players are playing random battles instead of Ranked. But still good content since you can still learn .. thx
@@Natha1811 tbh, ranked has a whole other way of playing the game than randoms ever will. What I usually tell people is to try to learn their ships in randoms first before they take it out to ranked play.
Ranked is so much more aggressive than any other game mode. Probably due to the number of players being limited to 7 instead of 12.
But yeah, every single tip that a player learns is a possible mistake they hopefully won't make again.
yep is true
Yea good point noob4life1981
Thanks for a very good overview/introduction with a practical example.
Glad it was helpful!
The absolute legend said he could talk about positioning all day long, i could listen to him talk about positioning all day. That was pretty awesome, i loved every minute of it. Who was that guy? Where can i hear more of him?
He is your_sat_score he doesn’t do much content but does stream tourneys usually
Thank you. I guess I'll just have to cherish the episodes he's in and find his tourney streams. I truly enjoy his commentary/input on the videos ive seen on your channel.
@@KampKoopa Agree. Very intelligent information from him.
Thank you for taking the time to explain all of this for us. I'm not a newbie, but I really appreciate the tips!
Glad it was helpful!
Map knowledge is really what people need, but it takes a while to have a feel for where to go and where enemies generally might be.
I started playing back in closed beta, then for various reasons hadn't played for nearly 2 years. I've been trying to get back into the game for the past year but so much has changed and along with that my skills went out the window. I'm afraid to look at my winrate because I know it sure as hell ain't 53% anymore.
I'm hoping going to back to basics in a sense and watching videos like this will help me out. Currently the only class I feel I can reliably play well is IJN torpedo destroyers.
Lol wow forgot about this, ONE MORE DAMN YEAR I notice I got to the 4 minute mark and something had to have distracted me and this got lost in the shuffle. What sucks as being a single parent this is basically my only "outlet" so while I've played a lot in the last year, well the fact I'm here again means...

I love the voice filter by the way .. .although its a little odd to talk to yourself ;). But who am I to judge?
how would you use a hybrid build? Yukon, weak armour for tier 7 bb, speed compares to a cruiser, add steering mod and she handle like a heavy cruiser, with bb main guns. ( slow reload. )
I literally charged in a yolo rush, dodged 21 torpedoes while slamming a full main gun salvo into everything I could., kept running and gunning while everyone else on the team got the kills.
got myself killed about 2 minutes before we won.
even with 2 years of playing this game relatively frequently, I still have no idea how people position well. I just get he farmed or killed unless its a really and I mean really lucky game.
yeah it can take alot of strategy even if it doesnt seem like it
1 out of 5 stars, not enough exposing broadside to enemies
toxic
General Minimap won you the battle, again.
LOL wish you had one for PUBS solo
I always have this problem with my cruiser omaha: his range is only about 13.5 kilometers, so i have to ingage enemy's if i want to shoot, i point the front of my ship towards them, i ingage and i get citadeled. Any tips on how I can avoid this?
Get the upgraded fire control system, with that you get 15.2 km gun range.
Also watch carefully for island cover that you can use, you don't need to hug an island, you just need one in line of sight between you and the enemies.
You can also use your fighter plane to peek over islands.
And most important: don't get impatient if you don't see an enemy, wait for your opportunity or the enemy to make a mistake.
Cruisers are not easy to play because everyone loves to shoot at cruisers. The priorita target skill shows you how many enemies are targeting you, the incoming fire alert skill notifies you of incoming shells. On some light cruisers I use both skills in addition to concealment expert which allows me to often sneak away.
That is my favorite ship! Sail like a drunk, don't try to save your turret positioning. Be annoying. Use the skill that tells who if someone is shooting and targeting you. If they aim and /or fire, do a shaky-shaky drunken puppy. Use the torps to gauge their speed and do not stop firing. Survival while always firing is the key. Use islands and support your DDs but do not suicide. BBs can be farmed later. Always be 12km away from enemies and play like a drunken sailor.
Fking bullsht coward teams that leave their flank and lemming to the other side and let enemy push mid :)
wel the game has changed and maps are made for bb,s maps are almost all ful of open water
My favorite position in WoW is not even being in the game.
Yo let’s go
Asian server A line or J line.
