Hello Jean Love Your Bags There Is A Shop In London I Would Like To Look At That Has Not Been Open Long With Sashiko , There Are Some Lovely Patterns, Your Tild Is Going To Be Lovely What A Brilliant Idea With The Dress!!!! Happy Stitching Lynn ❤🪡🧵✂️
You could potentially end up with a flock of Tilda dolls, every one different! Your bags and baskets are lovely, and the little cottage needle book is charming. Smocking for the roof was a brilliant idea. Too bad about the magnet + washers situation.
Nice to see what you have been up to Jean. Sometimes it is good to go back to making things we have done before. Love the little needle book, it is so cute. Bet your cabinet is filled with lots of goodies. Tfs x
Hello Jean, good idea with the tilda doll as they are quite big aren't they. Your projects are all lovely especially the Sashiko one, it's beautiful! Thank you for showing us and take care 😀 - Jeanette
Awe jean u always amaze me !!! My lil one doesn’t like toys she’s diagnosed with autism. But the lil house my lil one would love it. I can just see her puttin her paper dolls in it . Can you do a tutorial. Even though I wouldn’t be able to recreate it ❤ lol love it all
Hi Jean. Your Tilda is coming along. Attaching the arms is the hardest part for me. Lovely projects. I don't like using washers with magnets either. They just don't seem that strong. =^^=
The arms are a bit fiddly but the bit I dread is making sure the neck is stuffed enough so as not to get a crease, just when I think I’ve stuffed it enough it suddenly gets the dreaded crease 😂😂
Everything you do is SO LOVELY Jean! Does sewing actually help keep your hands limber? Mine are getting pretty crooked, but I'm having numbness too, so I'm getting clumsy as well and pain. It's amazing and inspiring what you keep producing!! How great for you! ❤
Hello Margaret, I don’t get a lot of pain in my hands just a couple of fingers really but as I’m getting older my right hand is getting quite weak, I don’t have much strength in it at all. However I refuse to give up I love my crafting it just takes me longer these days. I’m sorry to hear that you have problems with your hands as well it’s such a nuisance isn’t it. Take care ❤❤
The needle book is quite cute. And your baskets and rice bags are lovely. Did you make the rice bags in a tube and sew that to the base or did you make 4 sides? I did one to practice with 4 sides although the pattern was a tube. I have some Japanese fabric that I want to use to make one. Is there a link for the little baskets pattern?
Hi Susan the small rice bag was a tube and the Sashiko was 4 sides, I really don’t have a preference for either they both worked out ok. I can’t remember which tutorial I followed for the baskets but if you put ‘Round fabric basket tutorial’ in the search bar lots come up. Although I can’t remember which tutorial it was I know that I didn’t follow it exactly I just put my own spin on it, hope that helps. Thank you so much for your lovely comments, take care Jean ❤
