Now Thomas claims he did not know how to fill out a form detailing contributions for trips, his mother's housing, and his son's education. Yet, we Americans give him the task of interpreting the most intricate laws that govern our Democracy. If he is not competent to complete a simple form, why should we Americans trust him to decide complicated issues regarding our lives?
So much this. Everyone defending him is saying that he’s allowed to make mistakes. But this is the 4th time he’s had to amend his disclosures. If he’s so mentally incompetent as not being able to read simple instructions, he shouldn’t be on the court. If he hid these things willfully, the more logical explanation, then he shouldn’t be on the court. The justices need to get their act together and force him off and set up an ethics board.

All government employees who receive tax money should be audited frequently. All polititical money should be transparent. This isn't Left vs Right, it voters vs. Millionaires/Billionaires!

Anita Hill warned Americans about Clarence Thomas, but no one heard her. Now Thomas claims he did not know how to fill out a form detailing contributions for trips, his mother's housing, and his son's education. Yet, we Americans give him the task of interpreting the most intricate laws that govern our Democracy. If he is not competent to complete a simple form, why should we Americans trust him to decide complicated issues regarding our lives?
So much this. Everyone defending him is saying that he’s allowed to make mistakes. But this is the 4th time he’s had to amend his disclosures. If he’s so mentally incompetent as not being able to read simple instructions, he shouldn’t be on the court. If he hid these things willfully, the more logical explanation, then he shouldn’t be on the court. The justices need to get their act together and force him off and set up an ethics board.

That's BS. If nothing else you should have been declaring the tuition payments as income. The rest of us have to do stuff like that or we are guilty of tax fraud and tax evasion. Being a supreme court justice doesn't absolve him of the need to follow laws, setting aside disclosure guidelines and all that fuzzy stuff, he's broken actual laws. And there should be no ambiguity about that. A citizen who has broken laws is brought up on charges, convicted and sentenced. And so he should be.
This guys is not certain that rules have been broken. Yeah right.
