Incredible! This proves that those old AMT kits can be built to perfection, they just need a master model builder like you to build them. Now I know what quality to strive for, no excuses.
You said you aren't an engine guy but I am pretty sure I've seen you do spark plug wires before... but you are still my favorite model car guy. Thank you again for your great content.
This build is amazing! Working with the old AMT kits is not easy. You are a true artist! Thanks for the video, I learn something from each of your videos. 😊
Another brilliant video, Mr Lin! Mr LIn, please remember you were thinking about making an airbrush and paint mixing tutorial video for us less experienced modellers. I would love to learn more about your technique and I am sure I am not alone. For example, I'd love to know the difference in lacquer to thinner ratio for your dry and wet coats and any difference in brush distance and compressor PSI. Your dry coats are wetter than my wet coats for example, but your models look a million times better than mine.
thank you for you comment😊I will try to make a video about how I mix my paint and how I paint it, also I will show my equipment. As for the ratio of dilution and the pressure and distance of spraying.. In fact, there are no certain rules..try it a few times and you'll find what works best for you.. happy modeling and have a good day!!
I built this kit many years ago and it did have a myriad of fit issues. But you've done yet another great job here and that jazz music you have as background is very relaxing.
Magnificent! Best production of that kit I have seen. I like the corrective work you performed and the subtle but beneficial customization. I would like to see your technique for getting the nose of the car looking so nice. That part of the kit needs the most work. Thanks for sharing your knowledge and experience.
And there it is. Absolutly awesome work. Nice to see you get the black mouldet kit. I recieved the white, but there is no difference about the massive gaps😂 there's a lot of work to do but i enjoy this kit. After all your skills are awesome and your Mustang looks extremly impressive. I am very inspired and take a few ideas to mine. Thanks for sharing it. Maybe you try the Monogram Dodge Super Bee Six Pack next. That will be my next after this.😉 So stay save and keep going, i love your way and i am always inspired. Greets from Germany.😎
Always love your videos, get inspired by every-single one! I've started doing a lot of the same things you do with your cars to mine. Like using after market parts, spare parts etc. It really just makes better sense to do so in many ways, for that realistic look! Stay safe, be happy... Thanks again for this video!
Great build, looks great. New to model building and happened to pick up this model also. I am interested in the parts you added like wipers, locks and door handles but having trouble finding a place to buy them. Can you share where I might find them. Please let me know.
thank you!! the door handle is scratch build by myself, about the P.E wiper and rivet..you can search "hobby design""studio 27""model car garage" products..
Excellent job, it took me 3 years, to do my 1967 Shelby, I used "flocking", for carpet, REAL machined spark plugs, EXACT, firing order, of spark plugs, photo etched decals, how come you did not use, BARE METAL FOIL< it is so easy to apply, instead of using all that time to mask and spray the chrome?
hi,thank you..😊 I used to use BMF before..somehow I found that it always has small wrinkles that I can't handle, especially around the corner..and the surface is not always smooth..maybe it's just my technique is not good enough😅 masking and painting chrome is relatively easy for me.. about the interior and engine..I don't care too much.. I like to spend my time painting the bodywork.. anyway.. this is just my production habit and opinion.. thank you for your comment again!!😄 cheers!!
I'm currently building this same model. I noticed you removed the factory chrome from some pieces. How? Amazing detail! My hands are not stable enough to match what you do. What masking tape is that you are using? Great job!
thank you,I remove the chrome with bleach water ,sometimes you need some lacquer thinner after bleach water,be careful, test with unnecessary parts first. I use Mr.hobby and TAMIYA masking tape, they are very good!! have a nice day!!😊
Hi, I am also writing to you here because I was unable to use auto clear finisher's. I had a lot of orange peel. Can you tell me how and with what you dilute it, what nozzle and pressure do you use? Your airbrush looks like a harder & steenbeck, right? You are very good at painting!
hi, the thinning ratio about clear and thinner is about1:2 to 1:3,I use H&S 0.4mm air brush, the airpresure is about 20-25 psi..keep your airbrush moving, if you hold on a spot ,it might cause paint flooding.. Before spraying the next layer of paint, make sure the previous layer of paint is dry.. It takes practice.. Once you get used to it it's not that hard thank you and have a nice day!!
hi, just worm up the wex pencil with a hair dryer and you can shape it with your hand.. the door handle was scratch build myself, about the P.E wiper and rivet..you can search "TOP STUDIO" "HOBBY DESIGN" "STUDIO 27" "model car garage" product on web store..
Another brilliant model by you, my friend! Your skills grow with every finished piece. Can’t wait to see what’s next!
thank you very much my friend!!!😊

AMT kits are not particularly my favorite because they rarely fit together well. I think you did an amazing job! Brilliant work on all the details.
Thank you very much!!😊
You said you aren't an engine guy but I am pretty sure I've seen you do spark plug wires before... but you are still my favorite model car guy. Thank you again for your great content.

I always like the aftermarket headlight lenses and buckets that you use, do you get them from a preferred vender? Or are they just saved spare parts?
hi,they are from my spare parts..
cheers!!😊
where did you find the tiny rivets? ive looked everywhere and cant find them. amazing job with the model work btw.
thank you,try searching "hobby design" or "top studio" products
Hi,
I am also writing to you here because I was unable to use auto clear finisher's. I had a lot of orange peel. Can you tell me how and with what you dilute it, what nozzle and pressure do you use? Your airbrush looks like a harder & steenbeck, right? You are very good at painting!

10:28 What yellow paint did you use and what's the ratio to water? Thank you.
hi, just a vallejo 71002 medium yallow,about 1paint to 0.5 water..😊
Looks amazing Mr Lin! Where do you get the little rivets from?
hi.you can get them on internet..try serach "TOP STUDIO" products😊
Amazing build, Mr Lin. How many hours did that take?
thank you,I I didn't calculate the exact time..pretty sure it took over 100 hours...😅
How do you sharpen the wax pencil you used to put the lenses in? Where do you get the wipers, door handles and rivets?
hi, just worm up the wex pencil with a hair dryer and you can shape it with your hand..
the door handle was scratch build myself, about the P.E wiper and rivet..you can search "TOP STUDIO" "HOBBY DESIGN" "STUDIO 27" "model car garage" product on web store..
Very nice! Did you use Molotow chrome for the chrome trim?
thank you, 😊the paint of the trim is from Finisher's chrome,a very nice paint!!
Where did you get the rivets from, that you used on the bumpers, and the door locks?
Hi,try searching"top studio"products
where did you get the replacement door handles for this model?
hi,the doors handle was scratch build by myself...I build a original model and recast them, they are very useful 😄
I'm just getting into modeling. Where is a good place that I can buy modeling tools?
you can try local model shop or web store..😊
Say would you leave a link for the aftermarket parts? Or a link for anything else you use?
hi,most of them are from my spare parts..the P.E set and rivets can easily get on internet.thank you!!
cheers!!😊
What company made that model kit?
AMT model
Which tool is this one you use to hold small pieces (the one that looks like a crayon). Is it a crayon?😂😂😂
hi, it's just a wax pencil, you can easily get it from nail art shop😄
