Hey im using A dongle for my macbook and I put the receiver in the donlge , but the website says it doesn't see any receivers, so does it still work with a dongle because im using a macbook 13 which has no USB ports in it. I hope you can still see this comment because this was 2 years ago!
Hi there, let's break it down in steps: 1. You first need to go to Logitech's website to download the Logitech unifying software. Make sure to click on macOS 14.0 to open up the dropdown menu. From this dropdown menu, click on Mac > then macOS 10.13. 2. Connect the receiver to your USB-A dongle. 3. Once you've downloaded and opened the software, you should hit next up until you get the message that says, "turn off your keyboard". 4. If you then turn your keyboard on, the unifying software should recognize your keyboard. It will display an input area where you can type stuff to make sure the keyboard is communicating with your MacBook. And that's basically it. Hope this helps.
Using the "Bluetooth" option to connect to your computer instead of a usb dongle should still work just fine. Make sure to click on all of the options in the "Advanced" tab under Bluetooth settings. Doing this will provide relief if no keyboard or mouse is detected at startup.
Can use Logitech MK235 combo for M1 Mac Mini? (I bought M1 Mac mini last week but 1 need choose affordable kb & mise) (MK235's Command , control , function key's shortcuts n tips work properly in mac os?????)
Hi Hiranya, To be honest, I haven't tested the Logitech MK235 myself. But I've researched it for you and it turns out that you can use this combo for M1 Mac Mini. Rule of thumb, as long as you have the receiver that comes along with the keyboard and mice, you're good to go.
Thanks for the video. I have been using my Craft keyboard with the Mac via Bluetooth and it works fine on startup and connects without issue, but I now want to use the receiver to see if it will overcome the problem I have with using the Crown to control the volume. When the Logi Options software is open, the Crown / volume function works fine, but as soon as I close the Logi software, the Crown reverts to the previous setting of switching tabs, despite the settings in the software staying the same! I'm hoping the receiver will rectify this.
What if the keyboard doesn't have a receiver? When setting up for the first time, do I need to buy another keyboard with one? I currently have the Logitech K380. TIA
Can you link your logitech keyboard AND mouse to 1 receiver on the mac? The unifying software is not available for my Mac Mini.... RIght now I am using 2 receivers for both the mouse and keyboard and I would rather want to save the 1 USB port for something else if possible.
I am trying to connect my Logi MX Keys Mini keyboard to the receiver I have from the Logitech MX Mouse and it is not working. Keyboard is not visible when I try to pair it. Should it be compatible with the MX Mouse receiver? (Works perfectly fine via bluetooth)
I just bought the Logitech Comfort Wave which comes with a mouse and I only want to use the keyboard and my Mac lg trackpad, it didn't work right away? Do you think I must use the mouse?
I have Mac Ventura OS and it doesn't seem to support Unifying software - I tried downloading an earlier version, but ti does not let me connect. Am I out of luck? I have a K350
Also, you can uninstall the unifying software after your device is paired. Just remember to not pair it with other devices using the profile to which was connected (1,2,3 profiles).
i got this keyboard randomly someone left it to give out. I put in batteries and pressed the on switch and the green light battery symbol came up. It didn't have a receiver so I went to Staples and bought a Logitech USB receiver. Seems it doesn't connect, because it wasn't working. I even tried to press the power button and nothing happened. I guess it doesn't work, or I have no idea how to connect since there is no manual provided. The receiver shows up in bluetooth connected devices but the keyboard does not type
Thanks a bunch! It worked. However when I went to install the unifying software there was no version for my OS so I just installed for the most recent mac os that was available. Thank you.
Hi. Got it working on my Windows PC using the receiver. Then I paired it with my Android phone via Bluetooth. It worked too. But now, I can't reconnect to my receiver. Any ideas?
Hi Alex, I'm sorry for the delayed answer. Is it maybe because it's paired to your Android phone and PC at the same time? Otherwise just remove the receiver from your PC and start with the tutorial all over again. I bet it will work then. Hope this helps : )
@Jayanika Chandrapriya , I reset the keyboard. What happened was I inadvertently paired the keyboard to my phone (via bluetooth) using Channel 1 so the original configuration where Channel 1 (wherein keyboard is paired to the dongle) was overwritten. I had to reset the keyboard to erase all pairing settings. Reset the keyboard by pressing the following keys: “Escape” - “o” - “Escape” - “o”,“Escape” - “b”
Bluetooth works better. With the dongle, some keys are reversed, such as cmd and optn, the @# and , etc... I will definitely stick with Bluetooth, at the end
PLEASE HELP. Does anyone else happen to you? the Logitech Unifying drains up to 10% of the battery of my mac book pro at night! is this normal? Thank you!
My Mac’s metal interferes with my Bluetooth attachment because my keyboard is to the right and my USB-C port is to the left with the metal adapter. SMH doesn’t work.
I recently switched computers from my work Macbook pro to my personal MacBook Air. The Logitech keyboard worked perfectly with the pro via bluetooth. However, it is not working for my air via Bluetooth or withe the usb. I have a connector to my air that has a usb connection but it did not come with a USB port. Is it just not compatible with the Mac book air? is it the brand possibly? my clever mouse works fine with the air via Bluetooth. or maybe I'm missing something?
@@AMIRBENDABI i have this logitech crown and mx master mouse, and I’m planning to buy a macbook but I don’t see a usb port for my keyboard and mouse, I’m considering to buy a macbook air but because of the absence of the port i am inclining to buy the pro which is crazy expensive, i know i could just connect to bluetooth both i am very comfortable with the usb receiver
@@Diamond_Donnie The Pro doesn't have a USB A port as well. So your problem will not be solved if you go for the Pro model. If you wanna use the receiver, you need a dongle from USB-C to USB A. This way you can buy the AIR and connect your Logitech devices through the receiver and not through Bluetooth. Side note: do your research before buying the MacBook. Hi, what about macOS 12? There is not unifying software version! Don't know how to connect it ..
Same here!
Hi I went to the unifying software download page and they did not have any downloads for the version of my computer
for Big Sur 11.6 it says that there is no download for this version :/ is there a solution ?
That's too bad. Best thing you can do for now is connecting your Logitech devices to Bluetooth.
