If the 'Skeleton Crew' themesong is 80's worthy expect a synthwave cover of it to be forthcoming. In the meantime share and like and subscribe to the new channel and all that! UPDATE: Just launched a new patreon for my content. Please check it out! www.patreon.com/cravenmoorhaus
I seriously prefer to give people the benefit of the doubt. But they used the same script. Lol. Who knows. If they saw it and liked it I would have been stoked to work with their marketing team.
Set after the event of Return of the Jedi which was made in 1983 and the music sounds more appropriate for the kids and Disney. This is better than its modern trailer.
Hi. Thank you. If you’re into this kind of thing I’m releasing a synthwave version of the end credits theme soon, followed by a reimagined 80’s version of the show. Stay tuned!
It’s structured based on it, but won’t line up. I only had the two trailers to work with which I edited together into this one, and it was substantially less running time. I also had to sound design all of the audio from scratch to make it one coherent piece.
Hey there. We do still have projects we’re doing together, like the TRG series we just started on the main channel. But I’m also focusing on my own work on this new channel. The content here will continue to be like what you’re seeing/hearing.
I feel like this is verging into Christmas Special territory. If this turned into one of the kids ends up dying and shit gets way too real then it could have a chance at being another legit Star Wars entry in a Secret of Nimh way, but Star Wars as a heart warming fable wouldn't work for a whole show. It works for a poster of C3PO putting on a Santa hat, but a whole season of whimsy wouldn't work.
Yeah I have no idea what the tone of the show is going to be. But it certainly feels like a pretty madcap goonies inspired kids adventure. Could be fun and Jon Watts is pretty good. I’d bet the house on Andor S2.

Oh I hope we get another banging cover! Great job on this 🙌🏻
@@pbharrison1 Thank you!
I feel like I know this song from somewhere... maybe the Goonies or something.
Still, great advert trailer. You've not lost your touch.
Couple score drops here from Neverending story and Goonies. And thank you!
@@CravenInOuterSpace Can somebody is gonna do the song, "Skeleton Crew R Good Enough" by Cyndi Lauper?
Respect. That was a solid Disney 80s trailer parody. Well done!
It's crazy that Star Wars actually released a short teaser very similar to this
Did they? Is it the one with the Huttese version of Major Tom?
Not just very similar. It’s the same script, which admittedly was inspired by a Goonies trailer.
@@CravenInOuterSpace no seriously, I thought for a brief moment that they had actually gotten you to do it
I seriously prefer to give people the benefit of the doubt. But they used the same script. Lol. Who knows. If they saw it and liked it I would have been stoked to work with their marketing team.
@@CravenInOuterSpace They did a VHS version of trailer a few days ago.

Well done, man. That was great. Reminded me of my childhood. ^_^
Hi. Thank you. If you’re into this kind of thing I’m releasing a synthwave version of the end credits theme soon, followed by a reimagined 80’s version of the show. Stay tuned!
This should be the opening song for the show it has that goonies feeling
Glad you dig it!
Stay tuned. On Monday I’m releasing a synthwave version of the SC end credits theme and a reimagined 1983 show open.
That reminds me of The Goonies (1985). It's from Warner Bros. Pictures and Amblin Entertainment.
This was heavily inspired by it and a riff on the 85 trailer for that film. The music in the trailer also features Grusin’s iconic score.
@@CravenInOuterSpace Can you do the side-by-side comparison between this and the actual theatrical trailer for The Goonies (1985) in 35mm, please?
It’s structured based on it, but won’t line up. I only had the two trailers to work with which I edited together into this one, and it was substantially less running time. I also had to sound design all of the audio from scratch to make it one coherent piece.
@@CravenInOuterSpace FUN FACT: Kathleen Kennedy is the executive producer of The Goonies (1985) and Star Wars: Skeleton Crew.
She’s in the end credits on this vid!
Kind of an obvious choice to to a Goonie's riff for this parody trailer, and still freaking bloody COOL! Got to me right in the heart-meats!!
Thank you. May the Force be with you all.
this is art
Goonies in space
That... was just... downright magnificent, and it even snuck in a reference to Stranger Things and the Goonies.
Thank you.😊
@CravenInOuterSpace
No problem 👍.
This was so fun to watch~ (like all your work!) I hope when it comes out you'll do more with the movie clips. ^^ please keep doing what you do!
Thanks for being here! Got a lot of projects planned, so stay tuned.
@@CravenInOuterSpace Awesome! :D My friend and I have been quoting the Auralnauts - Star Wars videos for years, can't wait to see more from you
Ohh Yeah I love how they made skeleton crew like the goonies trailer in 1985 style
Love this! Appreciate the required dubbing.
Add this to the ewok movies, and you got yourself a good time.
Hey I know that music! Also, some top-notch 80s Disney VHS narration from Derek there
Yeah, the music is quintessential 80s. Grusin’s score was all over EVERYTHING for years.
First time working with Derek - he’s phenomenal.
It was at 1:00, mainly cause of the music change that The Goonies just hit me right in the face. 😀👍🏼
That score was on top at that time. Sort of like Yellow’s Oh Yeah. The amount of heavy lifting it does for the 80’s vibe is insane.
I watched the original trailer first.. So soulless as far as representation goes.... This one was actually great 😊
Thanks! I kinda dig the Major Tom huttese trailer even if it doesn’t really make sense. And the show is better than the trailers, which is refreshing.
YT Freighter.. bullet holes.. YT FREIGHTER. BULLET HOLES!!
Craven, I'm not on socials so bear with me: are the Auralnauts no more, or will you work with Zac in the future?
why'd you think they're not working together still?

Thanks for the clarification, Craven-I’ll definitely keep an eye out for new stuff on both channels. Got my katana and sweatpants ready😊
Star Goonies
S M33... wait ✋️, is that supposed to reference the character Smee from Peter Pan?
It absolutely is. Lots of references and nods in the show like that.
@@CravenInOuterSpace
Nice 😌 😎
Disney home releases at this time were in 1.66:1 ratio. You should crop it for a more authentic feel
Agreed. I sort of think of this as the theatrical trailer for a fictional film version of the upcoming show.
@@CravenInOuterSpacecan someone mock up a white clamshell package when the season is over?
Disney stole your bit
I’m a big believer in coincidental synchronicities. But I’d love to see it. Do you have a link?
Is it me, or is it like The Goonies trailer?
Very much like it. :)
#northondomingues
oh has this come out yet? or is the footage all from the trailers
This is two trailers pulled apart and completely reassembled. Show releases on Dec 3rd, director/creator Jon Watts is pretty solid, I hope it’s good!
Star Goonies or Gooney Wars.
Is the Auralnauts duo still alive?
Yes siree. But we’re focusing on different kinds of projects than the ones in the music/sound/edit space I’m continuing here.
@CravenInOuterSpace Excellent news! I was getting worried

not a film
Yes I know. And it’s not called “the” skeleton crew.
