Damn those halflings are giving me flashbacks from Heroes 2 Wizard town I wonder how they ended uo as being Factory faction units if there is any lore behind that.
you should look for the hints more. The first campaign kinda gives you hints that 1) you are on a timer and have to run and can't attack the heroes. 2) every side thing has its benefits but you kinda have to choose 3) You can actually bypass the archdevils to save time 4) The factory guy is supposed to go to the mountains on the right and the lady is supposed to get the halflings through the middle as she is the halfling specialist and they meet up perfectly together at Zydar to take him out. It's safe to assume you're not getting all the tools you get on RMG maps etc. All of these maps are always restricted. But the puzzle aspect and lack of leeway could make them fun to solve. It depends on what you like. Also I definitely recommend you checking out the new units as the automatons could make the last fight much easier if you split them and bomb Zydar with them.
One of the pieces of the story hinted at Frederik trying to get to the graveyard, so I was curious what was there - it turns out there really was something important. I can't blame you for missing that, though - it was hidden among a lot of text, which most people aren't interested in.
31:42 The taverns are there probably as halfling worldbuilding. It would be better if there were obstacles like cracked ground in front to make it clear you aren't supposed to go there, but that would make the map even more linear.
I’m with you 100%. If I want to play a game I’ll play a game and if I want to read a book I’ll read a book. I have no interest in reading a book in a game! 😃
I don't read all that text either. Just the foundations of the plot. I'd read a book if I felt like it or watch a movie. WE'RE PLAYING A GAME HERE (no insult to people who like it)
Nah sorry bro.. you don't even read the mission objective. I get that you don't bother reading the story line but not reading even what to do in the mission, which artefact need to be transferred to next missions, kind of proves that this campaign is not for you. It's one of the hardest and best campaigns in heroes 3, I feel it deserves some more respect, as well as the developers.
Chris complains about everything in the campaign. "Why is everything locked down?! The computer is cheating!!!" Um, literally every single game campaign doesn't allow best units/heroes/spells in the 2nd level of the game
Yeah but they were being overly stingy not letting you even have your whole 2nd level spells your meant to get 4 not 2 and no other campaign besides modded has done that

Chris, you should update to the latest HoTA version 1.7.1 (which just came out)! It has fixed some bugs for the campaign.

you dont need to load autosave, before battle there is always created new save called battle so oyou dont need to overdo tasks before the battle

This is going to be a tough campaign. So far the second scenario seems easier than first

If anyone tries this map , all you need to do is chain the 50 units that join you to Fredrick and don’t worry about killing Xarfax
