Kristin, you are toooooo hard on yourself! I am 75 and one reason I love you is that I can live with young children and be able to do all that hard cleaning and decorating and shopping through you that I can no longer do or have. I miss those days so much since my kids were your kids' ages and that was about 45 years ago. I want to be 30 again so I can have them back because it is so much harder now that they are grown. One has disowned us all because she doesn't like the way we voted. It has been 4 years since she's spoken to us, including her sister, niece and nephew, so little kids too. So, thank you for sharing your life and home with us. These years are the best years of your life. Don't waste them thinking you are not enough or that you could have done better. You are where you are supposed to be. I love your home, it makes me feel cozy.
I’m 71 and I miss those years with my kids too. I also have one grown daughter who has disowned me for whatever reason. Luckily I have other grown children (sons) who I’m close too. I give my daughter to God because I can do nothing about that, and yes I’ve tried for 7 years now. I love being able to watch Kristen too and her family as they grow. Thank God, plus she’s so REAL,
I am so grateful for your post to Kristin because I too am in a similar situation as you. I LOVE your videos Kristen, because you are so real and you lift my spirit every time I watch them. I am 67 and live in Georgia. My oldest son & his family hasn't really talked to us nor do we get to see those precious grandchildren much because of how we voted in 2016. It's breaking my heart and although I'm going thru a lot of health issues, he still keeps their distance. When we do see them (maybe an hour or two a year) and our grandkids look at us as if we're monsters that are there to hurt them, or worse. Seeing your videos warms my heart in so many ways! You & your sweet family are such a blessing to so many of us, so please don't be so hard on yourself. And please know your doing exactly as the Lord has led you to do. I just turned 65 and have no children, so definitely can’t blame my lack of public speaking skills or being tongue-tied on “mom brain”, yet I am the worst when it comes to finding the right words to say any time I open my mouth to speak. It has always been something I struggle with. Praying before speaking in a stressful situation is always a help, yet I still feel awkward. I can SO relate to you Kristen. You definitely are “wonderfully made”! Thanks for sharing!

You are bordering on overload and exhaustion. You start by saying you are the mother of three girls, when it is four. I've given workshops on public speaking. It really is fine to have notes, but speak in public, as you would friend to friend. Don't read a speech and you don't. Leaving out ums is important...better to pause, than to say um. Anyone, with ADHD has an extra challenge. Also remember, "Mom brain" is mostly caused by extreme tiredness, as your body recovers from the trauma of birth, hormonal transitions and your sleepless nights tending to a baby. Be gentle on yourself, Kristen, please. You are a lovely wife and mother and your RUclips audience appreciates you. You are more than enough. The proof is that you were able to help another mother who was struggling.
Your words speak so much truth. God has placed the scriptures in your heart to share and someone somewhere needs to hear them. Don’t feel bad that you didn’t have words to say to your friend at church. God touched her through your touch. You were being obedient to His prompting. That’s why I watch you. You’re such a real person!!! God bless you!!!

Such a blessing. You speak to us as friends, sharing what the Lord has put on your heart, speaking the words that He has given you, both literally & from scripture. His Word does not return void. Myself & many are encouraged because of your obedience.
Let me just bolster your confidence here... You do a great job. Just relax and try not to be so hard on yourself. Sometime we all hyper-focus on what we think of as our weaknesses. Many times they turn out to be our strengths. Your honesty about this may help someone who feels the same as you. Yes! God is using your voice “big time”. I love it when you share scripture and apply it to exactly what you are going through. I had a similar experience just lately after my husband passed where God showed me that I still have breath in my lungs. At 68 years old, He is still using my voice. He is so good!! ❤

Not to discourage you, but I believe I may have "grandma brain"!! I recently spent 2 different times in Omaha helping with our newborn grandson and his 2 siblings along with our other son who has 4 children. After returning home, I felt like I couldn't speak in full sentences!! It happens to us busy mama's and grandmothers!! I love hearing you speak and inspire so many of us with your words and scriptures. Give yourself Grace as you are very busy with a newborn and 3 other girls. Never compare yourself to anyone. Your videos are always so enjoyable as you are one of the most genuine and authentic person I know!! God bless you and your family!!!
You are not old! I am a 63 yr old woman who raised 2 boys and has been married 44 years, and we have been in Christian ministry in one way or another for 43 years.... I am like you, I stumble and bumble through things.... You have the sweetest spirit and you do NOT know how many lives you are touching through your Christian walk, and through this channel...We were involved in youth ministry for a lot of our Christian walk and through moves with my husbands "other" secular job, the Lord has moved us around and sent us to many churches, even if for a year to minister and I am on FB with a lot of my "youth group" and "Christian camp" kids, and the messages I still get from these now adult people is such a blessing from" You were our favorite youth group leaders EVER" or even "we really miss you guys", they don;t realize how much those little messages lifted my spirits... You said the verse about plans to prosper, we always THINK that prosper means to have more money or financial blessings, but I often think it means plans to PROSPER US through deeper understanding of HIS word and our walk with HIM!!!! I love this video

Oh Kristen. My heart goes out to you b/c I have so much trouble speaking in front of a group let alone a crowd. Our youngest son, now 43 years old, was diagnosed with ADHD when he was 9. We went the Ritalin route and the phycologist the school put us in touch with just kept up-dosing him ever visit. One night I heard him pacing the hallway and went to see what was going on. His heart was racing and he was in full blown panic attack. I sat up all night with him holding him and talking him down to a place where he could breathe slowly. From that night on, we ditched the "drug therapy" and we prayed and sought God through all of it. He learned to deal with his symptoms now he is a Daddy of four great kids. He served in our military and is now a mechanic for EMS helicopters. I tell you all this to tell you that he was able to let go and let God. We all deal with insecurities and I want you to know that I simply love your channel. You are such a giving person. You are using your life to impact others in a very special way. We (YOU) touch others through our shared experiences. You did just that. It WAS the Holy Spirit that lead you to pray with your friend and sometimes God uses us in ways we never ever dreamed. When we let God lead us and trust and obey HIM every day, lives are touched. Thank you for being a true blessing to all of us that follow you and your beautiful family. Wonderful video and a reminder to to all of us to follow God's nudgings when he leads us to something for others. We never know who we will touch and the impact we have until we just choose to have a personal relationship and follow God. "Be still, and know that I am God". That being still is when he speaks. Our son learned that when he was young and has not regretted it a bit! Be blessed as you are a blessing to others. :)

Kristin, I am a chronically ill lady who used to be “normal.” I have had Lyme disease, which tripped my body into Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and POTS. These diseases cause really bad brain fog! I can relate. I am a pastor’s wife and I often feel like I fail in this. I often feel broken and unable, but let me say I believe God is still using even me! You are being used beautifully by God! I enjoy you sooo much! I appreciate you and all that you bring to the table! Keep on keeping on! Give yourself some grace. I have found that when I don't remember a thing of what I said, or what I prayed, it is most often the holy spirit!
God is beside you. Please rest and don’t worry you have just had a baby. That has an effect on our body and brain that takes a few months to recover. You will be back to your old self soon. I am praying for you!
Sweet Kristin, God doesn't call the equipped, He equips the called. You have chosen as such a time as this. You may think you do not have the "correct" words to say, but you're a willing vessel for Him. I’ve never made a RUclips comment but Kristen I needed this video. I’ve struggled with ADHD for years. My stuttering and forgetfulness is a huge insecurity (especially has been today). Thank you for sharing Kristen. The Lord used you to remind me of so many things. You definitely had me tracking with you. My husband, a retired pastor, and I feel the Lord has called us to be available to pray with people at the altar after church service regularly. I tell you this because, I am a 68 year old woman, wife, mother of 3, grandmother of 4 and more often than not, I feel inadequate to do the very thing that I know the Lord has called me to do. I’m always questioning my abilities to give the right counsel that I think that they need to hear. Like Moses, I too have questioned God and said, Lord, I’m not a great speaker. I get tongue tied, my voice is weak, and I’m far too emotional and begin to cry when praying with and for someone. Then He nudges my spirit and says…. “ GO! Trust me…I want to use you now in this situation”. I’m always thankful when I’m obedient to his tugging of my heart and move. He promised that HE would use me, give me the words I would need; or simply to be silent and wait on the Lord with them. He has taken me to so many of the same scriptures that you’ve shared time and time again. And reminds me that even though I don’t feel as if I feel qualified, HE IS! SoI shake in my shoes and go forward in obedience and thank him later for choosing to help me realize, HE is the one who gives me the confidence, the words or the quiet stance of silence and even the tears of compassion to willingly serve him in this capacity. I’m struggling right now to send this comment to you for all of the reasons I’ve stated. 😊. You don’t have to respond or may not even read this lengthy comment I’ve made but honestly, I wanted you to know that I appreciate you taking the time to not worry about how this video may affect your channel but were obedient to take the time to listen to The Holy Spirit’s prompting to encourage my heart today. This video could not have been more timely for me, Kristen! Recently, I received a tough diagnosis which has left me struggling. I think that’s when the Holy Spirit shows up- when we have no idea what we’re doing. The Holy Spirit does it all - we’re just called to be obedient! He uses our willing spirit but it’s HIim who does the work. I’m so glad you were able to minister to your friend.it’s so wonderful when someone lets us know how we have ministered to them. You are affecting more than you know. You are brave enough to share about God and bring a smile and relaxing moment to so many. God IS using you!! I’m 53 and as of next week, an empty nester. It’s hard when a big part of my identity is being a mom. Then I read the story of Job. He lost everything and at an older age, Job 42:12 says“ So the Lord blessed Job in the second half of his life even more than the beginning” 😊😊 You’re doing and amazing job.

Ive got whats called grief brain, my memory is bad and i cant think of words or lose track of what im saying. I want to be a good witness for God but i havent the right words. Wait…3 girls? (It’s ok…we get it!). Kristen, you are a child of the King. You are not perfect, and will not be this side of Heaven. You speak from your heart. You are too hard on yourself. What you are going through, I think, is perfectly normal after just having a baby…or even on ordinary days! Did you ever hear the saying…”When we make plans, God just laughs.” It’s something we’ve all been through. I know, as a Christian, you know all of what I just said. I plan to sing like Lauren Daigle and play guitar and piano (and maybe drums, too) when I arrive in Heaven, and I soooo look forward to that! The Lord knows your heart…the Holy Spirit jumps in when we need the words…those are the best prayers, when you feel like you are speaking jibberish and don’t even remember what you said. I used to sing in our former church’s praise band, and often, I prayed at the end of our worship. My husband would tell me sometimes that my prayer was great or whatever…I often replied with, “I don’t even remember what I said.” He would tell me that those are the best prayers! When I see that you have a video up…..I watch it as soon as I can. You are young and beautiful and special. Do not complain and wish for something different. You have so much. That Jeremiah quote is one of my favorites...so heartening when we feel lost or discouraged or are just unsure of ourselves and what we could or should be doing. Mom brain is such a real thing! Give yourself grace. And sometimes just sitting with someone and listening is all that they need to feel heard and release inner turmoil, but I'm happy your words were helpful to your friend. I had a neighbor who had her fourth baby not too long before I had my first. She and I were friendly, but not particularly close. I swear I had emotional whiplash with how hard new motherhood is. I showed up on her doorstep about 8 weeks after my daughter was born because I just needed someone to talk to. Her validation and example gave me so much comfort and peace that I was going to be ok. It was life changing, and I’m so happy you were that for someone else. My hormones can impact my ability to do a lot of things too, including organizing thoughts and processing language. I have to tell myself, “ok these skills aren’t going to be easy today so we’ll just have to do things the best we can and that will work.” It’s sometimes a lot easier said than felt, but it does help. Thank you the extra and encouraging video 😊

Kristen, just remember that you are the daughter of God and your Father has equipped you for what He has called you to. Our plans are not always His plans, and His plans for our lives are always better than anything we could have ever thought we would do. As you obeyed the urging of the Holy Spirit, He used you to minister to someone in need. I am 76 and I'm so thankful that I followed His plan for my life instead of mine. Keep walking in your calling, and know that God will lead the way for you to do whatever He puts in front of you. Blessings.
