I love the story about taking your niece shopping for Js and teaching her how to lace them Chris.
I long for the day my niece or nephew ask me to go with them. For now, I am happy to pick shoes for them and watch them unwrap them.

Hit on the shock drop for these, so glad the fake sneakerheads like you said have started moving on from 1 highs and made them easier to get. These, the lucky greens, and the taxis were all must cops for me and I was able to get 2 out of the 3 for retail. Hoping the Palominos are easy to get also

Also struck out on the shock drop. Hope I can secure these somehow. Love this color blocking, love the blue, love UNC shoes, just love everything about them. Think I’ll go with the blue laces. Love the “pop” it gives them. Thanks Chris and Jodi(hope that’s how you spell it).

I am def going for these , of the very few AJ1s i want this year the UNC Toes are at the top. Huge fan of UNC Jordan colorways , i wear a lot of black and blue and i've liked many iteraitons of this blocking previously ; like the Bred Toes , Shattered Backboards, Court Purples among more. As big a fan of UNC blue / UNC Jordan colorways this could be one my favorite versions of this blocking. And UNC colorways on a Jordan 1 just hit different / special. Must cop for me and hopefully with the rumored stock many of us can hit for retail.
These are definitely a must-cop for me! I was sad to take multiple L’s on the shock drop, so hopefully I have more luck on July 22nd. I love both lace options & and may rock them with one of each.
That’s what I’ve done before on my 1’s when I can decide on the lace option I like the most (like with my lost & founds and with my Breds).

I love everything UNC! I tried getting these for retail and got Ls every time in the snkrs app. I had to jump into stockx to grab my pair but I am glad I did. Currently waiting for them to arrive but I am super hyped! It has been a super year for me copping with releases in my favorite color combinations and the latest upgrades in the materials being used in the OG Highs line. I don't remember seeing a review on the Nike Cortez. I got curious after watching Air and reading on Nike's history, so i bought one. I was blown away. I can't believe how comfy Nikes's first shoe holds up to this day. Something for Weartesters to try.
These were a must cop for me. Picked them up earlier this morning and I’ll likely wear them most of this week lol. Might be one of my favorite Jordan 1’s that I currently own.

These sold out so fast online on Nike. My son wanted them for his birthday. Was lucky to find them at a sneaker head store at the local mall. A bit more expensive but my boy is gonna be stoked. I’ve never been a sneaker person myself but these are a beautiful shoe. Can’t wait to see the look on my sons face when he opens them. He thinks they all sold out 🤫
Even as a UNC fan I was not 100% going to cop these...then a few weeks ago I saw an on foot pic with the UNC laces in them and changed my mind. Not normally what I would do (typically I would keep the black ones in) but for some reason I really like the look

Thank you for mentioning the gs pairs. Im grabbing a pair for my son from hibbett on saturday and I wasn't sure how the gs turned out. He chose these over the university blue 13's, which is crazy because the 13's are his favorite aj's.
Definitely hope the people that want the shoes can get them. Also I think the black laces look best on these shoes.

I got lucky on the Shock Drop and they just came today. I think they're way better than in pics or video. I'm going to try and grab my son a pair for the start of the school during the regular release. This is a great pair of highs!

I was looking for University blue and was saving up to get those but damn! I love this now. It cost less than the University blue and looks dope. I just bought the Low bred toe 2.0 last week. So will try to get these in 2 to 3 months time.

the unc laces i think gives it a bit more pop and rounding off the color blocking nicely, while the balck laces on the other hand gives the colorway a toned down and more subtle vibe.
put white laces in and see how they transform

I like the colour on the toe box! I don’t know, just something about the way the shoe looks with each step from a distance hits different.

Copped these on the shockdrop. They are 🔥. I like the blue laces. White laces in these would look good too.
These weren’t a must cop for me until I saw them this past weekend at Sneakercon DC i was like 😍.. the toe box leather reminds me of that highly slept on Stealth 1 quality, not quite as good but close enough.. They were being sold for $280 but I feel I can get them for retail so I passed

I had a feeling the leather quality is good because if u look at old releases any "toe" color blocking is all of them are good. Yellow toe, bred toe, etc

Love them BUT, I have so many (too much) shoes already, including the Obsidian that I don’t wear enough and even tho they are not the same, I will wear them even less. But for those who did not got the Obsidian back then (when it was impossible to get Jordan 1), I think it’s a good one!
