Flying my Bushcat Taildragger with My Buddy John in North Carolina on 1 10 2021

It was the first sunny Sunday after the New Year, so my buddy John and I decided to take our two LSA taildraggers and go hunting for grass strips. We visited BQ1 in Carthage, NC, which is about 2,200 feet long, then Derby (N26) which has 2,500 feet and then Richmond County (KRCZ) with almost 4,000 feet. We'd had lots of rain recently so we were cautious about where we landed and taxied, but it was a great morning and we ended up back at BQ1 for barbecue for lunch!
