  • Easy, quick and so effective...enjoy.
    As with all candles, lit candles should not be left unattended and don't let a candlestick burn low, making sure the flame is not near the clay, just to be on the safe side. I use mine mainly for decorative purposes when not lit. Thank you

      Is DAS clay or similar expensive in Canada?
      I get DAS from the works: tinyurl.com/yxv5839x
      and I also like hobbycraft white clay, which seems identical (edit: not the British clay)

    This was really fun to watch! I have heard some youtubers say that air dry clay is flammable, any precautions to be used for the candle holder?

    • @RedRockingBird
      @RedRockingBird  3 года назад

      Make sure you don’t let it burn low and you never leave a candle unattended, there is a lady that makes candle holders with air dry clay on here, terracotta people, take a look, but I wouldn’t want the flame to be near the clay or the lacquer

    I rly love ur video!! I’m trying to actually make a covered box using Das air dry and putting the candle inside. May I know if Air dry clay can burn since the heat of the flame is directly below the clay ceiling? And whether it’s toxic of not when burnt? Like will there be toxic fumes coming out?

    • @RedRockingBird
      @RedRockingBird  3 года назад

      No you can not let a flame near the clay, it’s paper based, the candle holder here is for decorative purposes and never leave a flame unattended

    • @georgiepepper6317
      @georgiepepper6317 3 года назад +1

      I wouldn’t recommend it without HUGE amounts of research but there are some air drying clays that are clay based rather than paper based. It’s possible this could be safer but I’m VERY unsure and would definitely recommend extensive research

    • @RedRockingBird

      For coasters, you want to make sure they have a few good layers of top coat. A varnish or craft lacquer that is waterproof ruclips.net/video/91EVMXFMgUQ/видео.html. I suppose the heat could effect them over time, but would think it would take quite a lot to harm them.
