Coimbra - 1st day visiting Santa Cruz, University, listening to Fado & our hotel Quinta das Lágrimas

We had a weekend in Coimbra when we visited Portugal for Christmas.

Santa Cruz Church and Monastery - where you can find the tombs of the 1st and 2nd Kings of Portugal
Visconde da Luz - one of the main commercial streets
University of Coimbra - founded in the XIII century and it is one of the oldest in the world.
Museu Nacional de Machado de Castro - we didn't visit the museum but we came for the sunset in it's terrace.
O Fado ao Centro - a place to hear some Coimbra style fado being played
Pastelaria Briosa - great for its traditional sweet pastries
